46yrs Old....finally Going Through with Surgery - Liverpool, GB

Hello.....firstly thankyou to everybody who has wrote posts and help me making my decision and answering loads of queries. Im excited for surgery but anxious about the recovery time, as i understand everyone is different, so i will post as much as i can my trials and tribulations of my recovery. Ive started scrubbing the house and buying my supplies for recovery, thank god for cable tv! lol i might just start doing jigsaws Updated on 20 Oct 2014: Im so excited, my surgery will have been all done a week today, is it normal to feel excited and not at all nervous? I've not bought a compression garment yet, but I do have a Spanx which goes under my bust and just half way down my thighs, would this be suitable? Updated on 31 Oct 2014: well I'm absolutely chuffed that my pain is at a very low level and I'm managing to walk with just a little hunch over, I've started bruising and I have all the expected ups and downs, crying for no reason, narking at the kids, and restlessness, but it's just a blip in my recovery journey. My daughter is taking me for a drive tomorrow for a change of scenery, I won't be getting out of the car as I look like a wild banshee, I can't wait to take a bubble bath. Heaven. Updated on 5 Nov 2014: Sorry guys not very pretty, but has anybody else had bruising on hips? Updated on 1 Feb 2015: i have had a dull ache on mynleftmside, I think it's muscular, is this common?
