Having my breast implants removed after 13 years was the best decision, they were so big and heavy, I hated them. I wish I had had them removed much sooner! I had a lift done at the same time as removal and I am so pleased with results. I am nearly 2 years post op and they have settled amazingly, scaring is very faded now. Mr Murphy and his team are the best, nothing is too much trouble for any of them and you can have as much aftercare as you feel you need.

I had my initial consultation with Mr James Murphy in November 2023 and from the moment I meant him I knew he was the right surgeon for me. I explained what I was looking for and showed images and it felt like he completely understood me, he knew exactly the result I wished for. I could really tell listening to everything he said that he has a genuine passion for breast augmentation and giving his patients a beautiful result with such attention to detail. I left that appointment feeling on a high and so excited for my surgery He really is the perfect surgeon and I’d recommend anyone to go to him. When I was first reading reviews I saw someone mention they’d travelled from Spain to have their 2nd surgery with him and after the experience I’ve had I can completely understand. He’s definitely worth travelling for. The only thing that I was uncertain about was that Mr Murphy and his practice were moving from Spire to the The Pines as I wasn’t familiar with that hospital. I hope I can reassure anyone with similar doubts that they’ve got nothing to worry about. It’s still his entire team and the hospital and care is wonderful! The day of surgery was great and all the staff there are wonderful. James’ whole team at Manchester Plastic Surgery are incredible and completely put you at ease. I had my procedure the morning of Monday 29th January so 3 months have passed now and I can wholeheartedly say this whole experience has been amazing. My result has exceeded my expectations if that’s even possible as Mr Murphy had already set my expectations high from our pre surgery consultations. He gave me exactly what I’d asked and hoped for and I recommend to anyone to trust his guidance on everything. I went having already done so much research and knowing I wanted Motiva Ergonomix with moderate profile and he agreed that it would give me best result although he did suggest a different CC to what I had in mind. I was a bit nervous to agree at first but so thankful I did as his expertise is superb. Mr Murphy really is an expert in this field. One thing I haven’t seen reviews mention is his 3D Modelling. After having my only two consultations back to back the same day and experiencing the trying on different implant sizes to then 3D Modelling I can really say I am so grateful for it. To then visit Mr Murphy and have the 3D Modelling it felt a lot more sophisticated and made it feel so much more respectful which is what I felt Mr Murphy really puts an emphasis on throughout. The 3D modelling is one of many ways that it feels he goes that extra mile to preserve patients dignity and emphasise respectfulness. The model is also very impressive and really provides a good idea of your result beforehand which was another added level of comfort pre surgery. Thank you so much to Mr Murphy and the whole team at Manchester Plastic Surgery for the best experience and result I could ever have imagined. Excellent service! I had a breast reduction which went extremely well. Mr Murphy is so nice,friendly and very professional. He has a fantastic team with him who all all provided a 5 star service. I was so nervous about it all but from the get go speaking to Pam I was put at so much ease. Nurse jac was always available when I needed advice. Thank you to you all xx

Amazing from start to finish!! I had a breast uplift with implants in Prague in 2022 that left me with a very disappointing result. The surgeon had completely messed up the uplift & I was left with bowling balls in socks essentially. I had a consultation with James & immediately thought "this is the surgeon for me". Left me feeling confident that I could have my dream boobs & explained, in detail, how he was going to achieve it. Surgery day went smoothly & I went home on the same day. Ultimately my results are amazing!! He's completely fixed my awful results & I'm left with good sized, pert breasts! I'm absolutely over the moon with how they look and can't believe these perfect boobs are actually mine!! I would recommend James to absolutely everyone. He's such a nice guy & ultimately is a very talented surgeon.

It has now been a year since my septorrhinoplasty procedure. I am a male in my 30s who had a hump seen from the profile which I wanted to get treated. I attended for my first initial clinic appointment where a photograph was taken on that day and a 3d image was then made to show possible results. A second clinic is then required for planning. purposes and consent. Once that was sorted, I was booked for theatre a couple of month laters ( during a period that was convenient for me). Results of the surgery - I think for male rrhinoplasty, Mr Murphy is an excellent choice. He has created a natural, straight, great looking nose that nobody is able to tell has been reshaped. After surgery like this, you do become hyperaware of other peoples' noses and so I have noticed a lot of other male rhinoplasties which have looked very 'overdone'. I think that women may be able to get away with having the fake overdone look, but it does not look good and therefore I am very grateful that the end result is so natural and masculine. I Highly recommend to other male patients looking at rhinoplasty.

I couldn't recommend Mr Murphy and his team enough. I have had a breast augmentation and from the very first consultation he understood exactly what I wanted to achieve from my surgery. MPS was recommended to me and I think that this is such a key element in finding the right surgeon for you. Both my consultation and Pre op were detailed and outlined exactly what I could expect from the operation. I went for a 245cc implant as my goal was to remain as natural as possible. I am 161cm and have a very small frame which was my main reservation with going through with the surgery. Mr Murphy reassured me that this was something that could be achieved and I felt confident that the end result would reflect this. He was not wrong. My surgery went smoothly and my incisions are very small and tidy. I was out of hospital by the afternoon and my aftercare was faultless. Any uncertanties I had during my recovery were addressed instantly, and the team went above and beyond to ensure that I had peace of mind, or they were on the other end of the phone, and I am beyond thrilled with the end result. Thank you to everyone at MPS who made this such an enjoyable process.

I went for my first consultation with James Murphy in December 2022. He listened to my concerns and what I wanted doing & gave me realistic expectations for what he could achieve. I went back for a second consultation in February 2023 with my mum as he advised I had some time to consider as I was only 20 at the time of my first appointment with him. We went through the risks and benefits of surgery and he discussed in detail what he thought he could change about my nose and what could be harder to achieve. After many consultations with other doctors I had gone into my consultation with him feeling quite deflated and not sure if I could find someone who could achieve what I wanted, but from the beginning I felt reassured by him and felt encouraged to take time to make sure this was definitely what I wanted as it is such a huge decision to make. After my second consultation I booked my surgery for April 2023. I went into the surgery with quite low expectations just thinking that anything could be better than my original nose. The nurses in the hospital were lovely, and my anaesthetist Nick came to see me on the day of my op and put my mind at ease as I was really nervous about having a general anaesthetic for the first time. Pam and Jac were great at contacting me and making sure everything was okay post op. My recovery was pretty straight forward and 8 days post op I got my cast removed. I was really happy with my results straight away (my swelling wasn’t as bad as I was expecting) and 8 months down the line I’ve seen so many improvements! My main goals for surgery were to get rid of the bump on my nose, stop it from drooping down when I smiled and from the front to narrow it and refine the tip. My confidence is so much better now and my nose has exceeded all of my expectations. My experience with Mr Murphy has been great - he listened to what I wanted and delivered even better results than I was expecting. I’ve had 2 follow ups with him and I’m really happy with my nose now. I’m still seeing subtle changes in my nose especially in the tip and I’m excited to see how it refines itself more over the next few months! I found picking a surgeon so difficult but I’m glad I went with Mr Murphy - he never put any pressure on me to go ahead with surgery, told me my original nose was fine as it was and made sure I was doing this for the right reasons. My new nose suits my face really well and I have so much more confidence in myself!

I had a consultation with a different company and surgeon before I chose Mr Murphy and Manchester Plastic Surgery. They were worlds apart in terms of the patient experience. I felt safe and reassured under Mr Murphy's care, and I'm incredibly happy with the end result of my procedure. Admin staff Pam and Michelle were always happy to assist with queries and concerns, and Jac the nurse practitioner was knowledgeable and supportive. Everybody really was fantastic. I had a rhinoplasty done in May 2023 by Dr James Murphy. Dr Murphy and his whole team made the experience stress free. I had two consultation appointments before the operation, I felt at ease and confident Dr murphy understood what I wanted. Dr murphy used photos to recreate how the nose would look after the operation to check I was happy. I wanted a slimmer nose, which was natural looking. The operation made a subtle change in my nose but has made a big difference to my face and confidence. The team were lovely and supportive throughout the operation and post-care. Any email queries or worries I had, they replied quickly and reassured me. I would recommend Dr James murphy to anyone who is interested in having a rhinoplasty. Yesterday I had my breast implants replaced. After my 3rd baby and a long time breastfeeding, my breasts had become a little deflated. I’d had my original breast augmentation with Mr Murphy and could not have been happier with my results. He knew exactly what would work with my body and helped me choose the right fit for my frame. On deciding to have another surgery, I knew I would only do it if I could see Mr Murphy again. I live in Spain now, but for me, flying back was the only option (not easy with 3 children under 5)! I’m only one day post op, but I already know I’ve made the right decision. The care I received during my procedure was fantastic. Bev the nurse was a legend and made me so comfortable before hand, I felt so safe with Nick the anaesthetist (and Jason) and Jac who looks after you post op is so informative and there when you need her. I will update with more pictures when a bit further down the line, but thrilled with what I can see already! If you’re looking for a surgeon that will make you feel comfortable, confident and at ease from first consultation and throughout, then Mr Murphy is your guy. Best in the business for sure. Couldn’t recommend enough.
