5 out of 5 stars Mommy Makeover
It has taken me so long to write this review because there is just sooo much I want to say and tell about this man, that I don't even know where to start.....or finish! So I'll just say, this man, Dr.Gary Lawton, has taken this sad, broken, self-hating woman who felt like a grotesque, disgusting freak of nature after what 4 pregnancies, weight gains and weight losses had done to her body and...

5 out of 5 stars Tummy Tuck
I had my surgery December 6th and I kept hearing horror stories watching YouTube videos and was so scared of the pain I was going to feel afterwards. Well let me tell you pain is sooooooo very tolerable as long as you take all your vitamins, antibiotics and pain killers as directed. I have felt at ease with not a lot of pain and looking foward to my results. Thank you to Dr. Lawton and staff....
5 out of 5 stars Tummy Tuck
Dr. Lawton is an amazing surgeon! I'm really happy with the work he did. He fixed my abdominal muscles (diastasis recti), along with giving me a tummy tuck, breast lift and nipple reconstruction. He gave me back my pre-baby body! I feel like me again and I've been wanting this for a long time! He also has a charming personality and the ladies that work with him are warm and kind. After the...
5 out of 5 stars Liposculpture
Dr Lawton is an absolute genius. He is very talented. My friend had liposcupture with him. I was worried at first that I wouldn't see the outcome I wanted because I'm already thin! It seems like it takes so long. I had surgery 6 weeks ago and I want it to be perfect already!! Dr Lawton keeps telling me to be patient but I don't understand. I see his excellent pictures I guess I'm going to...
5 out of 5 stars Breast Reduction
Dr. Lawton does a LOT of breasts. This is his area of expertise, and after looking at thousands of before and after pictures online, I decided I liked the look of his "after" the best. He trained at outstanding medical institutions, and was highly recommended by other physicians. I am also a physician in the community - so this was a well researched decision. I was very happy with the choice for a number of reasons. He is highly knowledgeable and expert at this procedure which I needed. He gave me a clear sense of what was possible and answered all of my questions based on thousands of cases worth of experience. He was very careful to prevent complications - which is always something to worry about when having and elective procedure. He had a thorough and considerate aftercare plan. I did not have any complications, but I know that if I did, he would have the expertise and desire to help me through it.
5 out of 5 stars Liposuction
I am 69 years old male and had a double chin. Part from Heredity, getting older and gaining some weight. I had looked at other procedures and talked to other Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Lawton is FANTASTIC.
Every person is an individual. Every individual deserves personalized attention. These are the principles behind my practice philosophy. The only way for me to fully understand what you desire out of plastic surgery is to really listen to your concerns.

Swelling after a tummy tuck is normal. Some patients have prolonged swelling. I have seen it for 18 months, then just suddenly resolve. What is clear, however, is that if you listen to your body, the swelling will resolve faster. If there are activities that cause swelling, you must hold off on them until they no longer create an issue. If you try to work through the swelling, it will prolong the process because you are never letting it heal. Everyone is different. People want to get...
Cigarette smoke contains 4000 toxic substances. The effects of each of these substances on the outcome of tummy tuck has not been studied individually. The most important issues with cigarette smoke is the carbon monoxide, which compromises the oxygen delivery to the healing tissues, and the nicotine, which causes spasm of the blood vessels delivering blood to the healing wound. Anything that compromises healing can lead to an increase risk of infection, wound separation, or tissue ne...
I do not use compression or binders after tummy tuck until the wounds and flaps are stable at one month. If the binder is tight before then, it will collapse the veins. If the veins are collapsed, then there is no outflow. If there is no outflow, there can be no inflow. No inflow from the arteries means no oxygen. No oxygen means no healing. No healing means wound dehiscence (opening) and failure.
Abdominoplasty treats the skin excess and muscle weakness of the abdomen, as well as any fat that is between the belly button and the pubic hairline. Liposuction treats only fat. It can be used to thin out the abdomen, but the skin must be in good condition with no excess, and there should not be muscle weakness. I do not like to combine abdominoplasty with liposuction because of the added risks of fluid collection under the skin, and wound healing problems as well as a significant in...
A full tummy tuck with aggressive liposuction at the same time will certainly put you at an unacceptably high risk for a potentially fatal pulmonary embolism (PE), venous thromboembolic event (VTE) as well as fluid under the tummy tuck skin (seroma), loss of the skin of the tummy tuck (necrosis) wound failure (dehiscence) and hematoma, among other things. The literature is complete with this information. The science is the science. This is a risky combination. Furthermore, you look lik...
