To start off this is something I’ve wanted since I was 14. Dr. Strum has made me feel so comfortable with everything from the consultation and into surgery. I’m currently 2 days Post Op and about to get my hair washed by Dr. Sturm for the first time. My hairline was lowered by 2.3 cm and it’s exactly where I wanted it. I will update everyone as my healing progresses Updated on 9 Aug 2020: So far so good. There really isn’t a lot of scabs around the stitches and I feel like Dr. Sturm did a good job making sure the incision site heals good. I’m basically off the pain meds and am just excited to get the stitches out on day 7 Updated on 13 Aug 2020: This is 7 days post op and I got my stitches out this morning. The tension was definitely relieved some when they took out the stitches but it’s still stiff. I can now move my eyebrows down fast without it hurting. Updated on 7 Jan 2021: So now all the airs for the incision have grown through and are about an inch long. I’ve gotten feeling back in my scalp but it’s definitely not the same as it was before. My scalp was sooo itchy for a couple months but seems to finally have stopped mostly. On my scar I used mederma and it made it turn from red to white in a month. The scar is barely visible now

I am a huge fan of Dr. Sturm! I have seen her for Botox and filler countless times. She has an incredible artistic eye and a very natural and conservative approach that I really appreciated. I would recommend her to anyone thinking about a consultation!

My nose was broken in childhood skiing accident and because it didn't look bad my parents didn't realize it at the time and it was left untreated. As I got older I started suffering from migraines and sinus problems. Years later an ear, nose, and throat doctor performed and X-ray and was surprised to see just how badly broken it was. He suggested that I may want to consult with a surgeon about repairing my nose and that's when I found Dr. Sturm. I was very nervous that the procedure would change my appearance as that was not my intention. Dr. Sturm reassured me that it would be a subtle change that only enhanced my face and she was so right. I love my results, the bump on my nose is gone but I still look like me and I feel so much better. Migraines are gone and this is the first year I haven't suffered with a major sinus infection. Dr Sturm is so nice and I honestly look forward to every checkup. The whole experience went like I was told it would and I am so glad that I found such a great surgeon and staff to take care of me.

I want to look as young as possible without looking too young. Basically, I want to commensuarte to the way I feel. Dr. Sturm has repaired my torn and drooping earlobes, has given my face fillers to correct the lack of fat and botox to ease the worry wrinkles. She is an amazing young woman with excellent abilities and a very approachable and likeable demeanor. In addition to her professional talents, she is in a highly regarded group of young people, 40 Under 40, who have not only succeded in their individual fields, they have gone above and beyond to donate to their skills and talents to the community. Look to the ears, ladies...and gentlemen! I read somewhere to judge the skills of a facial plastic surgeon by how your ears look after surgery. My incisions were virtually undetectable after surgery and by 2 weeks out I could wear a ponytail. No one in my family knows that I had the facelift...just that I look relaxed and refreshed. I've lost quite a bit of weight in the past few years, so people think my face shrunk from that, but I was very aware of my turkey neck and wore my hair forward to cover it. Three weeks after the surgery, I met with people I knew, and no one notices. As a patient who has worked in a hospital setting, I really wanted a surgeon who had an ENT background. Dr. Sturm O'Brien had that, plus she completed an extra year of specialized facial plastic surgery training. I was traveling to Houston for body contouring surgery and researched different facial plastic surgeons in the area. I wanted someone who would be with me over the years if I decided to go back in 10-15 years. I kept returning back to Dr. Sturm O'Brien. She was young, highly intelligent, skilled and there was something about her that I trusted. I'm a very good judge of character, and after meeting her, was confident in my decision to move forward. Also, professionals that I interacted with...other surgeons, nurses and ophthalmologists...had only positive things to say about her. After consultation with her, I made the decision to go forward with a complete facelift, endoscopic brow lift and lower bleph. Each person's consult is individualized...that's why I didn't put pricing info up above...it would also depend on the number of OR hours you would need plus anesthesiologist hours. I am adding some photos, but I'm a private person; I hope they help others. All of the photos are right after a shower (some soap suds if you look carefully) and with no makeup. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I also must add that the staff was great, especially Lisa, the nurse I saw most often and Linda, the fantastic patient coordinator. Updated on 18 Aug 2014: To reduce swelling after the surgery, I slept for the first 2 weeks in a recliner, to keep my head elevated. I made sure to eat very low sodium, high quality foods, with a bit more protein for healing. One other thing that I think was helpful is that I drank a lot of water with either fresh lime or lemon juice. I did initially have more swelling on my left side, but that dissipated after the first week. I had very little bruising and I think that Dr. Sturm O'Brien has a gentle touch; for sure during followup appointments, of which there were many the first 2 weeks. Updated on 17 Nov 2014: My daughter took this on my phone...this is about 2 months prior to surgery. My neck really, really, really bothered me. Things are still going well. No regrets. Updated on 20 Feb 2015: I was out of town and met up with a friend from college and her 23 year old daughter for an after dinner drink at an upscale hotel. The 23 year old and I were carded. Thank you Dr. Sturm. :) Things still look great...no revisions needed.

To look better, no negative points at all it all went very smoothly. Hardly any pain and the recovery was way faster than I had originally thought it would be. Looks great. Very pleased with it. I have told a number of my friends and colleagues to also go to Dr Sturm if they are considering the surgery as I was so happy with the results.

I have been hesitant to tackle any of those early signs of aging for fear of looking "done". Once I met with Dr. Sturm all those fears were laid to rest. She has an unmatched bedside manner and the softest touch when it comes to injections. From my injectables (Botox, Restylane and Belotero) to Fraxel and Ulthera, I just cannot say enough about my treatment. My family and friends rave about how refreshed I look and swear I have either lost weight or been on an extended vacation. That is when I let them in on the secret, Dr. Sturm is the best!

Hello everyone! I would like to share a little about me, I'm 19 years old and I suffered of acne for 4 years until I took accutane. As a result of acne I got facial scars. Approximately 1 year ago I visited my surgeon here in Houston, Texas because I was concerned about my acne scars. My surgeon recommended CO2 Skin laser resurfacing for the scars, which I had it done on all my face in May 21st, 2013. Almost 2 months later my face is still red, but not as much as it was. Also, I was getting also whiteheads called milia and acne flare-ups and now my cheeks are left with brown spots from the milia and acne after the CO2 laser. My skin looked so smooth when I was on my downtime, but I don't know if it looks as smooth, it looks kind of rough but only on my brownish spots left from milia and acne. I would like to know from all those who had had CO2 skin laser resurfacing how long it takes to see full results? does all the brown spots go away? does the texture of the skin keeps improving even after the 2 month mark? Are break outs normal after CO2 laser? should I be more patient to see results? should I use retin-a or Skinmedica TNS recovery complex(recommended by my surgeon)?? I had issues with pigment so I went in for a consult to see what could be done. After a series of Fraxel treatments the improvement of my skin is amazing!! 

I love the results of my ultherapy. This was a great treatment to give your face a lift without going under the knife and it is more cost efficient. I will definately go back and have the procedure again if it is needed. My friends and family noticed a difference immediately even though it keeps working for the next six months. Which is great!
