Dr. Saxon revised the scar from a Harvard trained doctor in Chicago that botched my lip lift. I saw Dr. Mascaro, Dr Pearson, Dr. Shah, Dr Byun. All said it could not be done. They were wrong. Dr Saxon’s confidence in her aesthetic and suturing is underrated. She should go in bragging about how good she is. I’m more than grateful. I experienced PTSD from my previous lip lift now, my sutures were removed on day 5 and on day 6 I flew back home and got hit on at the airport because I look normal after surgery with no make up other than sunscreen on my scar! My aftercare was also very enlightening before I slathered on so much Aquaphor and silicon scar gel that I irritated my scar so bad this time I was told to use irrigation solution that I was provided with a care box that my scar looks a whole lot better also after the PRP injections that came included with the procedure as as well as laser treatments if I need them! In Chicago, the doctors will nickel dime you every single thing done after they’re done with suturing. And doing follow ups, they don’t care about their work. I have never had someone schedule follow ups to babysit how the scar is healing. Dr. Saxon does follow up on her work! Her bedside is also the best, she’s made me feel validated, reassured, safe and most importantly heard.

I had a rhinoplasty with Dr. Saxon two months ago and I am beyond pleased with the results! I previously had a lip lift done by her which I wrote a review on as well. I chose Dr. Saxon to do my rhinoplasty because she did a wonderful job on my lip lift, and she has an extensive background in rhinoplasty as well as head and neck surgery. I wanted to make sure I chose someone who would make sure my nose was aesthetically pleasing as well as highly functional. My main concerns about my nose were a dorsal hump, a wide bridge, and an over projected tip. I did not have a huge or very imposing nose, however, it was not a feature of any note on my face. I also wanted my eyes to be more noticeable, and overall to let my other facial features take center stage. I wanted a more feminine nose in general. Because my nose was not quite large, I knew it would take an expert hand to find the balance between refining my nose and botching it. I felt very safe in Dr. Saxon's hands, (literally)! She discussed my concerns thoroughly and offered a few extremely helpful recommendations of ways to make my nose even better that I had not even considered. For example, she recommended adding support to the columella and the tip with a cartilage graft to prevent my nose tip from moving when I talked or smiled. That recommendation turned out to be one of my favorite features on my new nose! On the morning of surgery, I was quite nervous regarding the anesthesia because I had never been put under it before. Dr. Saxon came in and went over my goals for my nose one more time, and she took the reference nose photos that I brought with me into the surgery room as well. The anesthesiologist then came in with his assistant and explained everything to me and put me at ease. The nurses at the surgery center were quite lovely as well. I had an IV put in my arm, and the anesthesiologist told me he was going to give me a cocktail to help me relax before I was sedated. I was then rolled into the surgery room and the last thing I remember was getting onto the surgery table. I woke up in the recovery room and couldn't recall how long I was under or anything. It ended up being a two-hour surgery that went very smoothly. I had no pain when I woke up, I was just very thirsty because you cannot drink anything for twelve hours before surgery. My mom drove me home and I started my recovery. I had no pain whatsoever during the recovery, I did not have to take any of the pain meds that were prescribed to me. It was mostly just uncomfortable due to having to breathe through your mouth instead of your nose, as well as sleeping at an angle to keep your head up. I would highly recommend a neck pillow if you have this surgery, it was a lifesaver! The sinus rinse that I was instructed to use during my recovery was also quite helpful in cleaning out my air passages. A week later it was time to take the cast off. It was not painful at all, as I did not have stints in my nose and Dr. Saxon used dissolvable sutures in my columella incision. The first week my nose was perfect from the side but was quite swollen from the front. If you have a rhinoplasty do not freak out about the swelling! It is very easy to let your brain convince you that you are always going to be this swollen but it is simply not true. I had a hard time the first week because it was swollen and I was scared that I had made a big mistake because of how wide it looked from the front. I repeat if you get a rhinoplasty, DO NOT PANIC ABOUT THE SWELLING! It will go down. After the first week, the nose was much better from the front. At week 3, I was really liking it, and at one month I was in love. Now two months later, it just keeps getting better and better every day. It fits my face PERFECTLY! I now get compliments all the time about how harmonious my features are, which was never something that happened to me before. My favorite part is that my friends that don't know I had something done all have been saying "you look better than you ever have" but they can't quite put their finger on why. That is the exact reaction that I wanted. I was scared that it would be noticeable that I had a nose job, however, it only enhanced my appearance without making me unrecognizable. I am so pleased. On top of everything else, I can now breathe better than I ever have before. I feel like I got sinus surgery and rhinoplasty for the price of one! Overall I am beyond ecstatic with my new nose. Dr. Saxon and her staff are all lovely people who genuinely care about their clients. Dr. Saxon is also extremely humble despite having an unbelievable level of skill when it comes to facial plastic surgery. She never makes you feel stupid for asking questions or confirming things with her. I will never go to anyone else! If you want to look fake, Dr. Saxon is not for you. But if you want to enhance your beauty in a way that looks as though you were born with it, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Saxon. She does not do the same nose on every face, she does the best nose for YOUR face. 5 stars!!!

Dr. Saxon’s work is that of great skill and efficiency. She is confident with the procedures she performs and she is very knowledgeable as to how to proceed. After much research, I finally decided to have a Lip Lift with Dr. Saxon. This was something that I now wish I had done five years ago however this result was very much worth the wait. With the aging process, my philtrum seemed to be getting longer. My top teeth were no longer visible when my mouth was slightly open and I was also very self conscious about this. Dr. Saxon knew that I wanted a conservative result and she did exactly that. Not too much, not too little. I’m now almost 4 weeks post-recovery and my scar is healing beautifully. There has been no pain involved in the healing process and I have been very thorough with the aftercare of a silicone gel regimen. The procedure took approximately an hour and the worst part of it was getting the numbing shots. The rest of the procedure went smoothly and it was painless. I’m thankful to Dr. Saxon and for her skillful hands as I am so pleased with this result. I highly recommend Dr. Saxon! Updated on 28 Dec 2021: Just a quick update to let you all know that my healing is going perfectly. The scar is fading fast and it is only pink because I just treated it with some scar gel. You can completely cover this up with make up but this is an unfiltered, no make up photo for your observation. I have not had any issues with the healing of this procedure and I am completely satisfied with the outcome. Updated on 14 Feb 2022: Healing continues. I’m 3 months LL post op and the scar is fading more everyday. I’m still using scar gel all day and it is really helping aid the process. I took these photos this morning with three different shades of light so that you can see clearly that healing and caring for the scar is continuous and very important. For those of you considering a LL….. go for it! I have no regrets and I love my results. When I look at my before pics, I realize what a huge difference this procedure made and as mentioned before, I wish I’d done it years ago!

When I first started this journey, (started looking as of June 2020) I heard so much negative criticism from other surgeons around the nation (yes, I actually looked nationwide) about my request for a brow bone reduction. Comments that I would eventually end with sagging eyebrows and would not give me the feminization I was looking for. What they didn't understand was that I am a cisgender female, but when I was not wearing makeup, my upper face had characteristics of a male with a prominent brow bone.Most surgeons told me to use fillers in my forehead... lol as if fillers would help with the overshadowing of my eyes and the sunken eye look... lol! I am so glad, I didn't choose them. They even said the most skilled doctor in rhinoplasty couldn't get it right on the first surgery, I would require more than one surgery because of my thick skin. Boy, were they all wrong!! I wish I could show them Dr. Saxon's skill to prove them wrong!I am glad I found Dr. Saxon and will NEVER go to anyone but her. Just within these few weeks, my results keep getting better everyday. It's like I wake up with a new gift every morning. The gift that keeps on giving! Dr. Saxon truly has some great skills and a goddess in her field! Dr. Saxon and her staff are beyond AMAZING!!!

I had a great experience with doctor Saxon! I had a lip lift last Friday and it turned out wonderfully. I am only a week post-op and the scar is barely there. I can also already talk and smile normally and there is very little tightness around my mouth. Not to mention the results are wonderful! She was very nice and answered all of my questions from my initial appointment to my post-op. Also the surgery went very quickly and did not hurt at all! It was actually pretty relaxing! No regrets at all! Updated on 6 Jan 2022: I am now 6 months post-op and could not be happier with my results. The scar was completely gone by month 3 and I can not believe what a wonderful change this small procedure made in my facial harmony. I am a younger patient (20 years old), so I did not do it for an age reason, I did it because I was always unsatisfied with my long philtrum. For me, getting a lip lift with Dr. Saxon was the best thing I ever did for myself. I am so happy! :)

Great experience with Dr Saxon and her staff I had the procedure done in her new Dallas office and it was great no pain after the procedure that even needed Advil or Tylenol I'm 6 weeks out and things are healing really nicely and I've gotten a ton of complements no regrets here at all!!!

I'm writing this review because good artistry often goes unnoticed. I'm a live streamer online so I'm constantly talking to people on a daily basis. I have a very close friend that is a Hollywood director, and a family member who is a reality TV star. All these things were weighing heavy on me every time I looked in the mirror (I'm going to be 30). The entertainment industry is no joke; it thrives on a persons appearance. I've had cosmetic surgery in the past, but I was not happy with the results. Unfortunately for anyone in this business by putting yourself in the limelight you'll be put under a microscope, so you can imagine how much criticism and hate I have gone through. I decided enough was enough and I researched for reputable surgeons here in Austin, which is where I came across Saxon MD. The very first and important asset that I recognized and I loved about Dr. Saxon was her confidence, honesty, and ability to envision what exactly I wanted. Dr. Saxon set realistic expectations from beginning to end. Dr. Saxon's ability to change my appearance without making me look like I had any work done is amazing. I had the buccal fat removal done in June. Dr. Saxon was very patient and gentle. During the procedure, she constantly asked how I was doing and if I experienced pain she would give me meds to reduce the pain. It was less painful than a wisdom teeth extraction. I drove home by myself after the procedure with no problems. I highly recommend her to everyone.

Excellent visit with Dr and RN doing the procedure. Unfortunately, the price for the procedure went up about 50% some time between when I scheduled my appt and when I arrived for the appt (about 2 weeks) and I was not aware of this until the quote was presented. That was disappointing.

First off, a little about me: I am very plastic positive. I've had a rhinoplasty, alar reduction, cheek implants, liposuction, and countless fillers and Botox over the years. My philosophy regarding my body and face is the same I have towards my mind and character: continuous improvement. Obviously we all age. But we needn't go quietly into that good night. I first saw Dr. Saxon for a cheek implant revision consultation in 2018. She gained my trust immediately with her intelligence and expertise. My revision was performed in Dec 2018 and the results were fabulous. I've wanted a lip lift since I discovered what they were. They're such a fabulous way to subtly enhance your beauty. Dr. Saxon does a great deal of these in her practice as an accredited specialist in facial plastic surgery. I was so excited to get my lip lift, I've been planning a year for it. In our consultation Dr. Saxon suggested a dermal graft to my upper lip to add a bit of volume, and I was all over it. Yes please! I decided to pair my lip procedures with a Morpheus 8 treatment to address my budding jowls. Go big or go home. I opted for full anesthesia for my lip lift/graft and Morpheus8 because I am a coward when it comes to procedures. Surgery facility fees were approximately $2k. Oh well! I'm 4 days post op now, still quite swollen, and I'm pretty blotchy with the Morpheus8 but that's how it works! I'll post pics of my recovery as it progresses. If you live in Texas, Dr. Saxon is truly the best surgeon available. Not only is she is greatly skilled, her aesthetic judgement is accurate and firm. She will guide you to your best self. My husband says..."Don't go get anything done. You're so beautiful the way you are." He's so sweet. Dr. Saxon is my secret weapon. Updated on 5 Jan 2020: Here I am on day 6. As you can see, still a great deal of swelling. I've been gently cleaning my incision 2x/day and then reapplying the ointment prescribed by Dr. Saxon. (she told me to not let it dry out) I do think some of the swelling is from the Morpheus8. A note on Morpheus8: I read online in several places that Morpheus is a "weekend" procedure, that you can have it done on Friday and go back to work Monday. Uhhh... for me, not so much. After 6 days, I am still incredibly blotchy, and the texture of my skin is horrid. It's not the redness, that could theoretically be dealt with by makeup, it's the rough patches and random clusters of bumps from the procedure. Several breakouts too. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, or if I just have really sensitive skin. After the first day I used my own products to keep my skin moisturized- they've never caused breakouts before, so I have to conclude it was the procedure?? I just really hope my skin will calm down soon and the results will be awesome. You're supposed to have 3 treatments to get the maximum effect- not sure if I can handle another two at this slow rate of recovery. *I do have sensitive, acne-prone skin. She said my swelling is about 70% done. Yay, but also I wish I could keep the swelling forever haha I also got some details on my procedure- My initial measurements (lip had asymmetry): 18 and 20mms She took off 5 and 7mms to bring final measurements to 13mms. She performed a dermal graft on both top and bottom lips. She used dissolvable stitches in the lips and the tiniest incisions, I actually didn't even know they were there. (Dermal graft source was behind my ear) I am LOVING the results so far!! Still super blotchy from the Morpheus, but my skin's texture has returned to the point of actually belonging to a human woman, so I can cover the redness with makeup. My nose is a little swollen too. Scar is clean. Not sure how to cover the scar though, I am trying to leave it alone, but tomorrow I have to go to a public event so hopefully I'll be able to figure something out! Updated on 13 Jan 2020: Still some swelling on one side that is making my nose look a little funky, and it wasn't the straightest nose to begin with. However I am very happy with the results so far (although it's pretty hard to cover the scar with makeup and I have a big event Thursday- yeek) The dermal grafts appear to have added quite a bit of volume (I hope it's not just swelling!) which frankly I hope never goes away. Other notes: 1) I bruise really easily, so I bought 2 packs of SinEcch from Walmart.com (it's Arnica). I do this every time I have a procedure, even filler. I don't know exactly what the company claims it does, but I can say that I did not have even a tiny bruise after the lip lift. 2) Dr. Saxon does dermal grafts rather than fat transfer because of the difficulty in getting the fat to remain in the lips as they are constantly moving. I was skeptical at first but now I think she's on to something. (FYI I had fat transfer to my boobs during lipo and the results were life-changing. Still great 4 years later) More in a week or so... Love, K Updated on 26 Jan 2020: Hello all! It's been a little less than a month since my procedure and I'm sharing some photos with makeup and lip liner on. I'm still very happy with the results. Overjoyed, actually! For the record: my initial measurements (lip had asymmetry): 18 and 20mms Dr. Saxon took off 5 and 7mms to bring final measurements to 13mms. (I asked her to be as aggressive as she was comfortable with, as I LOVE the short philtrum look :) I think the results look less than 13mms? Maybe it's swelling...? Or just my face? I still have some very slight asymmetry, which may or may not resolve itself, honestly I do not care as my lips were pretty asymmetrical to start with and now they are much less asymmetrical. The dermal grafts really seem to have added fullness, when I look back at my "before" I'm very happy with the increase in volume from the grafts. Fingers crossed it's not just swelling and the look is here to stay for a while :) Scar is healing. Tiny little bump under the skin on one side, I don't think it's noticeable to anyone but me, and there is still some slight creasing. To hide it, I put liquid foundation on, touch up with mineral foundation just on the scar, and try to stay out of direct sunlight haha I see Dr. Saxon on Friday for my 1-month follow up.
