I Hate ALL This DRAINAGE - Indiana

I had my TT on May 3rd and I still have one of my drains in. I got the other one pulled at one week post op. It is so frustrating that I am still draining anywhere from 40-60cc's a day. Any idea on why this is still going on and how I could get it to slow down or stop???? Please help me! Any information or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Bad breast lift, brachioplasty (arm lift) & bra line back lift

I had an upper body lift with Dr. Sholar in Evansville Indiana. This included a breast lift, brachioplasty (arm lift), and bra line back lift. Not one of my procedures turned out well. My breasts were droopy and my nipples pointed down. My arms became infected and I was left with awful scars. My bra line back lift had necrosis and left a large crater in my back. She never scheduled a follow up appointment after having laser treatments that were supposed to help the scaring, but made the scars even wider. My recovery was awful. I was almost 8 months out before all my incisions were closed. When I called to let them know I was unhappy, she would not see me or return my calls, and she was not willing to give me any of my money back. After I threatened to hire an attorney, Dr. Sholar had an office worker call and offer to redo the surgery. I had no faith in her ability to do any better than the first go around so I did not even consider that as an option. I had revisions done by another surgeon and my experience was totally different. Recovery was a breeze and I had no issues with healing or scarring. I am not the only one who has had issues with Dr. Sholar and I would suggest visiting the Indiana Department of Insurance website to check for malpractice claims before seeing Dr. Sholar. It was an awful experience and I am still physically and emotionally hurt by her actions. During my revision surgery with another doctor he was able to give me a beautiful breast lift and repair my back scar, but he was not able to remove all of the scarring on my arms and I will live with them forever. I have not proceeded with a lawsuit at this time, but because I was not able to recoup any of my fee from her and I am still dealing with physical and emotional issues that I cannot afford to continue to manage, I am looking at moving forward with some sort of legal action. We all make mistakes and I understand that Dr. Sholar is human. In my opinion, the right thing to do would be to admit the mistake and do what you can to make it right with the patient. She had the opportunity to make this right with me by refunding a small portion of what I paid her and she was unwilling to do so. I ended up paying another $10,000, out of my pocket, to have all the surgeries over again with a competent doctor.

Juvederm in Vermilion Border (Lips)

I had 1 syringe of juvederm put in my vermilion border of my lips. I had none actually put in the lip.I am extremely pleased with my results and it's only been a day. I know that they're still a little swollen. There's also some bruising.I made sure not to take any aspirin or ibuprofen for 2 weeks before my procedure. I also used Arnica cream (bought at GNC) all around my mouth for a few days before and have been putting it on since the injections. I have minor bruising compared to some of the other pictures on this site.I had a dental block, so I had ZERO pain. I also iced frequently the entire day after I had it done.I had prevelle silk done in my lips 6 weeks ago and loved the way it looked too. But, it was gone in 4 weeks. I am hoping the juvederm lasts longer!

Would Do It Again...no Question!

After my divorce I decided to take care of saggy, uneven breasts.During the consult, I had the surgeon look at my abdomen. I had alot of sagging skin and wrinkly stretch marks around my belly button, mainly due to marital separation/divorce stress. The surgeon sugg a tummy tuck. That seemed a bit radical. I've seen plastic surgery shows where they do a seemingly simple procedure of making a circular incision around the belly button and pulling the skin in and making esentially a new belly button and voila! I tight tummy!I was told it wasnt just a skin issue. I needed skin removal and the "re-corseting" of my ab muscles. That procedure seemed scary to be! I gave it some thought though. I just knew that after surgery and having these amazing, perky, c-cup breasts, i would be even MORE unhappy with my stomach. You know when you your walls painted and then how much worse your carpet looks? Then I would have to have a second surgery and recovery. So I decided to just "Go For It." One sugery, one anesth.. I had an amazing result! No major pain or complications. The worst part was having the 2 tummy drains pulled out. Hurt like hell!! My breasts scars are almost gone. I had implants and a lift on one side. I'm 4 months post surg. My abd scar, which goes hip to hip and just extended where my c-section scar was. The scar looks pretty good too. No raised areas, various purple to pink coloring on it. I have never felt so good about my body! I'm 44 and have a better body than I've ever had. I would recommend this for anyone! Life is too short to not feel fantastic about ALL of you!
