I had breast augmentation with fat transfer with Dr. Kaye Kai 3 weeks ago (December 2021), and I'm extremely happy with the results! The Ocean Clinic office staff & nurses were kind, friendly, easy to work with. The video consultation was easy to schedule, Dr. Kai answered all my questions. For the in person pre-op meeting I found the easiest way to make final decisions about sizing was to try on forms and check a mirror for the profile especially with clothing. I wish I'd thought to bring several tops but I made a decision I'm happy with. Surgery at HC: extremely professional and kind staff, Dr. Kai put me at ease prior to the procedure. Recovery: extremely easy and fast. Almost no pain, although some discomfort of course! I think the speed of healing speaks to Dr. Kai's skill. I had sensation throughout my breasts and nipples immediately, although the tightness of the skin made touch feel strange. At this point I do not have any tingling, numbness or other sensation issues. I started a road trip 2 weeks after surgery and have no problems driving, or walking 15 - 20 km a day. The most important part, the result! I'm very happy with the procedure, the implant positioning, size, and shape. The Motiva Ergonomix implants I received are already assuming a more natural shape as promised. Thank you Dr. Kai and the Ocean Clinic team!
I flew from Germany to Marbella, Spain to have breast augmentation with Dr Kai Kaye. This was to treat a severe size/shape asymmetry and increase size overall in both breasts. I received 420/500cc, over muscle, Motiva implants. 36 AA(left)/B(right) to 36D in both (I know cup sizes are vague. But there was at least a 100cc difference between them). I also received autologous fat transfer from my waist to fill out the breast shape, to reduce the necessary implant size, and to round out the implant edges. The equalising of the two breasts was accomplished partly by reducing the lower pole distance on the larger breast via removal of some tissue, and partly by lowering the location of the inframammary fold on the smaller breast so that it matched the larger one. Two different implant sizes were then used, with the smaller breast receiving a much larger implant. RESULTS I am now 6 weeks post-op and the results are, so far, absolutely fantastic. The fat transfer really makes the implants round and natural looking and the size/shape asymmetry has largely disappeared! The previously smaller breast is still dropping and stretching as it received a much larger implant in a much smaller space. It is therefore harder to tell what the eventual result will be. It is still somewhat square and situated higher than the right breast. But I am optimistic, and I know that even in previously symmetrical breasts that they change at different rates. I will give it six months. The right breast looks absolutely fantastic. The lower pole is completely round and has dropped over the inframmary incision. The upper pole is a perfectly flat 45 degree slope, and I can tell that it will curve slightly as more dropping occurs. Completely natural and great looking! The space between breasts was reduced from around 4cm to 1cm. As the welling has reduced this has become about 2cm. Overall they look amazing and equal in bras or t-shirt. Hopefully they will match up completely over the next few months. CLINIC The clinic in Marbella is small but extremely clean and professional. Everyone speaks English and Spanish. The doctors that I saw also spoke native German. Dr Kaye himself is very friendly and explains what he is going to do in full detail. In fact his remote Skype interview is what convinced me to go with him, as he discussed options and I felt that I was fully listened to. When revealing to him that I am a stealth long-time transitioned trans woman he was professional and took that into account. The clinic is however lacking when it comes to communication and providing information. The reception staff / patient co-ordinators are wonderfully friendly, but extremely disorganised. I received no information about what pre-operative cautions needed to be observed until 18 hours before surgery, when I did my per-operative consultation. It was only because I had researched this previously that I knew to avoid certain drugs for the weeks leading to the surgery. Otherwise my operation and health could have been severely compromised. Dr Kaye himself did not try sizers with me in his office. This may be because I had tried DIY rice sizers myself and came in stating what I wanted quite clearly. But I would have felt reassured if he or a nurse had actually double-checked this with me. It is hard to know if he agreed with me, or felt rushed and didn't want to take time to check sizes. The nurses are friendly (shoutout to the nurse from the North of England) but also not great with divulging information. I had to chase people to find out what was going on and what I had to do. I received no verbal overview of what was going to happen or what to expect. After surgery I recovered by booking a night in their accommodation, which came with a night nurse. The room itself was very austere, with no window, just a light well. But it was provided with a en-suite toilet and walk-in shower. There was a non-functioning hospital bed, locked in one position. The nurse call buttons DID NOT WORK. I was given a phone number to call instead (one of eventually 5 different ones that visit). Food was eventually provided from an external restaurant, but not until 9 in the evening, after 36 hours of fasting. The information problem came up again when I found out that there was a kitchen full of snacks and drinks near to my room that I not been told about. AFTERCARE I received lymphatic and breast massage from a massage assistant several days after surgery. However I received no information about how to do massage myself in the weeks after surgery. I had to chase doctors and staff for this information, which came down to a one line email saying "squeeze them once a week" which is not good enough. My largest criticism is that I was not given enough information or equipment to care for the liposuction that took place. I understand now that compression garments are a standard aftercare aid in liposuction recovery. No such garment was provided or recommended by Dr Kaye. I purchased one after I flew back home and it helped enormously. The pain from liposuction was INTENSE and severely hindered my mobility. On my first night I was unable to sit up without assistance due to pain and swelling. If I had been informed about this I would have planned for events differently (e.g. by asking my partner to stay with me in the accommodation). I have not yet sent my 4 or 6 week photos to Dr Kaye's office, which I need to do. But I have not heard anything from them inquiring about my status or health, or reminding me to send photos and a progress report to him. For all they know I dropped dead after leaving Spain. OVERVIEW Dr Kaye is an excellent surgeon, producing excellent results. But the clinic is unorganised and chaotic when it comes to patient liaison, and the surgeon himself does feel like he is winging it at times. If you are well informed and know what to do, this clinic and surgeon is an excellent choice. If you are unsure, nervous, or dependent on others this clinic would be less ideal.
After much research i chose Ocean Clinic in Marbella Spain for its state of the art facilities and because Dr Kaye comes highly recommended.I initially saw Him last June to discuss an arm lift . I told him I had a 'wish list' of what I would like done , and we decided to also do a tummy tuck at the same time . My surgery was March 1st 2017. I cannot fault Ocean Clinic for my first class care both pre and post op. Dr Kaye and his wonderful team have been so supportive in seeing me through this tremendous undertaking . He is a very talented plastic surgeon and his Clinic is superb. It's one thing to do research on your surgery, but going through it is another ball game altogether. I am still very early days post surgery, and so far everything has gone to plan . I fly home to UK on Monday after my last check up at the clinic , but will be in contact with the nurses here by phone and e mail .
Around 10 days before my period by nose tip expands with 2 big bumps becoming more obvious. I've tried to cover with makeup with no joy. It was a hard decision deciding on surgery but it was the best decision I made.My only regret is not getting the operation done sooner. I will upload more photos when the plaster comes off in 5 days time.
The worst result and my life has been extremely effected from this bad choice of surgeon. I have a terrible result both cosmetically and functionally. I do not recommend this doctor at all for rhinoplasty. My results show he did not have the skill or experience needed for this procedure. The marketing is good and he is very kind at the beginning but unfortunately I have been gaslighted by this doctor and now face a revision requiring rib and a high risk of long term damage from the result of his bad surgery.
Terrible experience. I needed an operation to fix a deviated septum which was causing breathing problems. Also minor aesthetic changes. Despite using words like “subtle” “nothing drastic” and “my nose, not a different nose” to describe my desired outcome, instead I am left with a unrecognisable nose that is turned up and more asymmetrical than my original nose. Dr Kai O Kaye didn’t seem to be really listening to me but I unfortunately went forward with it anyway. Aftercare awful. Now faced with another surgery elsewhere.
I had a rhinoplasty in Ocean Clinic and it has ruined my confidence I only wanted small tweaks to an already normal nose now I have trouble breathing my tip droops and also debts in both sides. It is hideous I avoid pictures and mirrors now and I'm struggling to come up with money for revision! Absolutley devastated
Decided it was finally time. Waiting too long, researched too much .. I did my op with Dr. Kaye in Marbella. I got 250 round motiva implants. Worried at the wonky shape , they're just doing their thing, one dropping faster ( side with more laxity) and the other is still determined to stay round and high. Size of nipples is surprising pleasing and scaring seems to be healing fast , no bruising after the op , not much pain either. Took ibuprofen for the swelling not so much pain. As a side note , I did kind of feel out of sorts from the anesthesia for a couple of days. Like on some high but it was pleasant lol , felt very relaxed. Cooked dinner for my kids on the third day post op .
I have been using this app for a couple of months now but struggling to find other reviews with similar stats to me. I am having a BA in a few weeks in Spain. I had a consultation with MYA in Liverpool UK, the surgeon recommended between 200-300cc upper high profile. He asked what bra said I was currently which I replied 30DD, this isn’t big it’s because my back is so small. He then said really your a B or C then? I felt like he was being very patronising to me. I’m not a B or a C? He then went on an on telling me other information about surgery and felt like he was bored and I was instantly put off him. He then told me to go upstairs and girls will give me some sizers to try on. I was told to try the 300cc sizers in an they felt so big I didn’t like them at all! The girls who gave me the sizers to try didn’t see my boobs so how can they give me their opinion ? They kept asking if I can pay the £1000 deposit now and I just felt they didn’t care and was just after my money. They called me for days after the consultation asking for the deposit. I had a consultation in Marbella Spain who recommended 280cc Extra high profile round. When I tried the sizers in they also felt a bit big if I’m honest ? My biggest fear is waking up with massive boobs! I have good sized boobs now I am just wanting more upperpole fullness as now I have non. But I’m also worried if this implant be enough? I always read reviews of people wishing they went bigger! I decided to have my BA in spain as I have lived here a few years and I really liked the surgeon and felt he understood exactly what I wanted. They also wasn’t ringing me chasing for money! I thought I’d feel really nervous and would even cry when going but I never. I know some of of friends cried on the way to the theatre. Beofre I know it was my eyes open again an it was all over! I can only remember saying to the nurse I liked the sun in spain before I was out. I got back to the recovery room at about 12.30 and was feeling fine. The room was really nice and I was in a dressing gown with hotel water bottles as I was freezing coming out of surgery. Updated on 3 Apr 2018: So before I went to theatre the doctor came in to draw on me. He recommend 280cc in one and 300cc UPH in the other as i had slight asymmetry. After the surgery I was told I had actually had 300cc and 330 as the others wasn’t right when it was tried. I trust my surgeon I felt in very good hands so trusted his decision. I till can’t really see them as they are banged up! Updated on 3 Apr 2018: The recovery room was really nice and clean, it had it’s own bathroom and tv and wifi. The bed was comfy and I was wrapped up in a dressing gown with a quilt an hot water bottles as I was freezing coming out of theatre. They brought me some water and asked me to drink and try to go for a wee. The nurses if I was hungry which I was starving! So gave me a menu and I ordered a pizza! Pain wise I was okay I thought it would be a lot worse. It felt like when you had a tight bra on and the underwire was too tight and digging right in. When I stood up I felt like was going to topple over due to the extra weight! I have been on a drip all day so that will be helping with the pain. I felt like the drip in my hand was hurting more actually ? The nurses kept checking I was okay and said I would be allowed to go at 7.30pm. I was picked up at 7.30 and my boyfriend helped me get dressed and we went home. I go back in tomorrow for bandages removed an bra to be put on
At day 10 post surgery ... This morning felt great , more energy , but by this evening can hardly keep my eyes open .... Arms are healing beautifully , stitches out and now applying cream before taping as I have read that helps the scar to heal flat. Still some pain from my TT and My back kills me if I try to do anything . have some sutures in middle section of scar which should come out on Monday. Due to fly back to U K next week will do another update then .
