I'm totally open about the work I have done and encourage everyone that talks to me about it to put their trust in you as I do. I adore Dr. JoDee and am so grateful for her skill, vision, patience, bedside manner, and just how fun she makes our appointments, it feels like a refreshing hangout with a friend who leaves me looking fabulous, lol! And her truly nonjudgmental welcoming nature make me feel really comfortable and safe.

Dr JoDee is amazing. Everyone at Fresh Face is so sweet, I felt so comfortable, and not judged at all like you can at certain places. I’ve tried various treatments to reduce my acne scars - various peels, serums, microdermabrasion, etc. And now we can add microneedling to the list. I’m super hopeful this will reduce the scarring while helping even out my tone and texture. As you can see from the before pictures, I have general redness, especially on the cheeks & nose. They started by numbing my face and then got down to work. The actual needling wasn’t painful - the sound of the Dermapen was the worst part. (Think tattoo gun) The nose, upper lip, and forehead were the most tender spots. The technician said she went pretty deep and thinks I should see good results. I purchased the 3-pack since it was 30% off. I’m currently 4.5 hours post-procedure and have no discomfort and just a little redness. Updated on 28 Dec 2017: Surprisingly I didn’t have many of the reactions I’ve read so much about here. The redness was pretty much gone by the next day and I experienced very little flaking. My skin has definitely felt drier, but not uncomfortably so. I didn’t think there was much improvement until I took these progress pics and noticed a marked decrease in overall redness and an increase in overall skin tone. Yay! Still don’t see much improvement in scarring, though. My 2nd session is scheduled for 1/20/18. Updated on 20 Jan 2018: Ok, THIS was the redness I expected from my first treatment! Yikes - made me wish I had tinted windows while I was driving home so no one could see me. Haha. Definitely feeling “burnt” and tight. Will post another progress picture in about a week. Updated on 26 Jan 2018: Continuing to definitely see improvement in tone, texture, and color! I had some dryness and flaking this time around, but nothing crazy and easily lessened with additional moisturizer. Scarring is beginning to break up and hopeful for additional improvement as this second session heals and after the third treatment next month. Changing my opinion to “Worth It” from “Not Sure.” Updated on 4 Mar 2018: Third session was much the same as the second. I really like the gal that’s done both my second and third treatments. Had some wind burn feeling immediately after, but that subsided within the hour. Looking forward to seeing the results - still debating if I’ll buy a few more sessions to work on the scarring on my cheeks or not. Updated on 4 Mar 2018: Updated on 10 Mar 2018: Definitely more flaking and dryness after this session than my other two treatments. I think I ready somewhere this means your skin is really responding to the treatment, so that’s exciting. In addition to improvement in overall skin texture and color, I’m starting to see improvement in the actual scarring on my cheeks, which is my personal problem area. I’m thinking I’ll probably purchase another couple sessions and see how much more improvement I can get. Makeup definitely goes on smoother and looks less “cakey” with the improved texture.
