I had a full tummy tuck and breast lift back in December 2009. I was 36 at the time, 5'10" and probably 175 pounds. To this day, it is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I won't lie, it hurt like a mother. It felt like I had just done 100,000 sit ups. I was not mentally prepared for such an intense recovery. And don't get me started on those drains. However, they came out about a week later and then I started to feel normal. It couldn't stand up straight for about a month though. I slept, sitting up on the couch, for over a month - stairs were hard. I don't remember having any pain with my breast lift because my abdomen hurt so bad. But they turned out perfectly. I'm now a 38D. Probably more like a big D though. I did not need implants with my lift. The PS said they removed about 3lbs of skin from my TT and about 2000cc while doing some lipo on my waist so I was in proportion. The swelling started going down in about three weeks and by week 4 I could feel my hip bones! This surgery was tough, but they're was no way I was going through life with saggy boobs and flappy belly. I loved the way I looked (and still look) and I credit that to my amazingly awesome PS. He is truly an artist. My TT scar is low and runs hip to hip and has faded to white. My lift scars are underneath and barely noticeable and have faded to white.
Part 2 is coming on March 14, 2016! I'm 43 now, my kids are able to handle themselves so I'm finally going to do some mommy maintenance. I'm getting my flanks, hips, mons, and inner/outer thighs done. Then my transformation will be complete. Well, until I want a face-lift in a few years. Happy to answer any questions about the TT and lift or show pics of the what the scars look like 7 years post op. Looking forward to sharing Part 2 of my story as it happens.
