48 Year Old Much Needed Upper Blepharoplasty and Lower Skin Pinch with Canthopexy - Charlotte, NC

51 and still loving the results

WORTH IT$5,800
I turn 51 in a few weeks and definitely the upper blepharoplasty with lower skin pinch was a decision I don't regret. I still maintain a good skin care program and so far feeling good. My advise would be find a reputable doctor and get at least 3 opinions before your final decision. Don't focus on cost as much as quality work. Also ask for patient photos specific to the work you want performed.

Looks like he removed a little too much skin from the upper left eyelid. The hollowing might be improved by having hyaluronic acid filler placed in the left brow area.
Thanks Ian for the input. It's not something that bothers me and honestly I am not a fan of fillers and don't use them. Tried it in the past for my under eyes and had them completely removed 2 years ago.
Good luck!
Rude. If someone is perfectly happy with their results why try to tell them there's a problem? That's not what Realself is about surely, unless they have specifically asked for your opinion on what else they can improve?!
You look amazing I have not a clue what this person is on about !!!
Can you give me a idea of cost ? I am in Australia but it would give me half a clue
I paid close to $6000. This is on the high end but the practice I chose has an excellent reputation and tends to be more expensive.

Thought I would include an update almost 3 years later and hopefully offer encouragement to anyone out there who is considering surgery. The changes are natural and youthful. I continue to practice good skin care.

VERY helpful. I had my lower eyelids done and I can see how important it is to do the uppers as well, for a youthful appearance. You are stunning and if you were open-minded and available, I'd ask you out! And I'm not a dude. Just another latina maintaining all that she can while she can!
Thanks for taking the time to read my review. Same here - trying to maintain but keeping it natural and real.
I am flattered with your interest but I really like men.
You look great! Thank you for your encouragement.I will be having mine in a month and I am very nervous. Were you very swollen after the surgery? Was it painful?
More bruising than swelling. I was instructed to take arnica pills before the surgery which could have helped. I also iced as instructed by my doctor and then if I recall I did warm compresses. I can honestly say after a week with cover up makeup I looked almost normal.
You look amazing
Thank you kindly.

Still enjoying the results. Don't need to wear as much makeup. The scars are no longer visible and the canthopexy settled well. This procedure was well worth it considering it took years off my face since my eyes always looked tired and saggy.

You look amazing and no where near 50! Congrats!
Thanks for your feedback.
Good skin care and eyelid surgery is what's keeping it together.
Fabulous!
Thanks for checking in
Wow you look great

I enjoy wearing makeup now.
I agree. You don't look 50!
Thank you.
You are too kind.
