Dr. Joshua D. Rosenberg is a double board-certified plastic surgeon in New York City, with over 11 years of experience. An expert in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery—including facial nerve paralysis and microvascular reconstruction—he offers patients cutting-edge technologies and techniques, coupled with a personalized approach to the most complex surgical procedures.

Dr. Rosenberg’s advanced training and experience cover the full range of facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, from facelifts to minimally invasive cosmetic treatments like acne scar treatment and skin tightening. In addition to his private practice, he holds privileges at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where he is an assistant professor with the Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Department.

Dr. Rosenberg earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he went on to complete an internship in general surgery and a residency in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery, followed by a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with Dr. Harry Mittelman at Stanford University in California. He continued his education with a fellowship in microvascular reconstruction and head and neck surgery at the University of Miami in Florida. Today, he is board-certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

A committed academic and researcher, Dr. Rosenberg frequently contributes to research projects evaluating innovative techniques in facial plastic surgery. Currently, he is leading an ongoing study determining the best surgical and nonsurgical treatments of facial nerve paralysis, as well as an investigation of the use of novel free tissue transfer techniques for lip and eyelid reconstruction. Ultimately, he hopes to help create a better understanding of treatment outcomes and tailor treatments for each patient’s unique needs. He has also published numerous textbook chapters and articles about the latest developments related to plastic surgery of the face, head, and neck.

Dr. Rosenberg is proud to use his expertise to give back to underserved communities. Throughout his career, he has volunteered with nonprofits in South America to perform reconstructive surgery on children with cleft lips, cleft palate, and other facial disfigurements.

In addition to being a diplomate of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Rosenberg is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
