I got my first consultation for a breast lift in 2006, when I was 29. That was five years after I had my son. Unfortunately procrastination and fear are two close friends of mine, and have caused me to not get it done. After years of contemplating, researching and more consultations, I finally decided to get that lift I've always wanted. I decided to go with the lift without implants. I'm currently a 36d and am satisfied with the size, I just need them lifted. I am 4 days away from my surgery and am so nervous. I will be sure to post updates.

I can’t believe I went through with the surgery today. I’m still in shock and can’t feel the excitement just yet. Dr. Youn was extremely kind and professional and helped put me at ease. He is definitely a master at his craft. He noticed my right breast was ever so slightly larger, and made sure to reduce it so they will now be the same size. I’m home resting, feeling some pain. More so tightness and burning, but not enough to make me take the pain meds. He did put drains in my breast, which need to be emptied every 8 hours. I’ll post pictures in two days at my follow up visit.

I went and got my tubes out today. I was so scared to look at my breast for the first time since the surgery. I almost passed out from anticipating the worst! I had the nurse take a picture with my phone and show it to me. I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw. No more sagging breast! They look smaller than I was expecting but I will need to wait for them to settle before I can really see the new shape and size. The compression bra is killing me and so uncomfortable. I still feel pain where the stitches are, but it’s tolerable. I go back to the dr next week for them to take the tape off. I’ll post another update after my next visit.

I’m going to the dr tomorrow for him to take the tape off. I got my best sleep last night. I’m either getting used to sleeping on my back or was so tired I just crashed. I will say to anyone getting this done, don’t over do it! It’s so easy to feel good one minute and fine yourself doing more than you should. I did that yesterday and today and am paying the price for it. Very sore from doing too much in the kitchen. It’s so hard to sit still when I’m used to doing so much. I decided to work from home next week. I was supposed to return back to the office, but I’m going to slow down and work from home. I’m taking the Superwoman cape off this week!!

I went to the dr today to have the tape changed. My breast are healing nicely, however I still have some swelling. One side is larger than the other but he said they should even out once the swelling goes down. I have to go back in two weeks for another checkup. No exercising or lifting heavy objects for the next two weeks. I’ll continue to sleep on my back and wear a surgical bra 24/7.

It’s been exactly two weeks since my BL. Today is the best day by far. Over the weekend was pretty rough as far as pain, but the burning and sensitivity I was feeling has subsided. I still have a lot of swelling and my left breast is larger than the right, but I’m sure it’s just the swelling. I’m still sleeping on my back, wearing a compression bra and taking all the vitamins my dr gave me. My next appointment is in 6 days, which they will change my tape and provide further instructions on the healing process. I’m still very pleased with the outcome.

Went to an event tonight and was so excited to wear my dress without a bra! I am 5 weeks post-op and am so happy with my results. I wanted to cry when I put on my dress and didn’t have to worry about finding the right bra to wear to make sure my breast were lifted and not sagging!! I am so happy that I went through with this lift and selected Dr. Youn to perform the surgery.
