While technically you could place a resin over your veneers, I would not recommend it. It would likely make your teeth look bulky, and over time would slowly chip away. The best solution in your case is to replace your veneers with new ones in a whiter color.&nbsp;

Two years ago I got 4 veneers on my upper teeth. The dentist matched the veneer color with the color of my teeth. I am now bleaching my natural teeth at home. Is it possible for a dentist to place a white resin on top of my veneers to make them look whiter and brighter?

I would need to examine your teeth in person to make a recommendation, but in general, porcelain veneers are a better investment than bonding as they last longer and are more durable.&nbsp;
As for your question about disadvantages, the main disadvantage to bonding is that it does not always last a long time. It can be prone to chipping and breaking, and you may need to have it replaced often. You cannot bleach bonding, so yes, it is possible for bonded teeth to become stained. Bonding generally does not require much prep of the natural teeth.
Porcelain veneers, on the other hand, can last for a decade or longer if you take proper care of them. The disadvantage in this case is that veneers do require the natural teeth to be shaved down in order to make room for the veneers in the mouth.&nbsp;
I suggest visiting a cosmetic dentist for an in-person consultation. They can examine your teeth and answer all of your questions to help you decide which procedure to have.&nbsp;

I plan on getting veneers or bonding on my front teeth. I heard that you would not be able to bleach your natural teeth after the bonding falls out. From your photos, I would recommend straightening your teeth before trying porcelain veneers. It looks&nbsp;like you would be a candidate for Invisalign, just make sure that you visit a dentist who has experience treating cases like yours. Clear braces are also an option.&nbsp;
Porcelain veneers may not last long due to your bite, so they are not the ideal solution at this time. After your teeth are straightened, you may want to look into veneers to perfect the look of your smile.

I recently had a consultation with a local orthodontist who said invaslign won’t work too well seeing as my one tooth is far too crooked - almost sideways. He said clear braces are my only option for a perfect smile. I am considering veneers but would like to know if a professional thinks it’s a possible solution for my smile. Photos attached.

While Botox can be used effectively to temporarily treat TMJ symptoms, it doesn't fix the root cause of your TMJ and doesn't always work for everyone. I would suggest visiting a dentist who specializes in TMJ to explore other treatment options and find out why your jaw and neck have gotten worse.&nbsp;

I have had tmj that was causing tension headaches that became migraines. I had botox done 150 units in forhead, temples, jaw , neck and top of shoulders. Its been 3 months and though I didnt get a migraine my jaw is much worse. I went from a mouth opening of 37 to 28 now and now have problems chewing anything harder or chewy like bread without worse tmj pain,. Necks also worse Is this normal will it ever go away. Why would it cause my opening to get smaller? Is it not supposed to cause less pain.

Jaw pain and headaches are typical signs of TMJ and can be triggered by bite problems. I would advise visiting your dentist and letting them know about your symptoms, so they can properly examine you and decide if you should pause your Invisalign treatments.&nbsp;

I am on tray 6 of Invisalign and am having problems with pain in my jaw and headaches. Do other people have this problem? I am wondering if I am having TMJ.

Do I have TMJ?

Although it is impossible to say for sure what is causing your headaches without examining you in person, there is a small chance that you may have developed TMJ due to a change in your bite after having the implant placed. I recommend visiting a neuromuscular dentist to have your jaw examined to see if your bite has possibly become misaligned.&nbsp;

I am a 38 year old female in good health. I got one dental implant installed in the back lower molar. A couple of weeks after installation I started suffering horrific headaches. Before the implant installation I rarely ever had headaches. The top of my head is pounding. I have pain that radiates down my neck and between my eyes. I can't sleep at night because my head is pounding. This occurs all day. I take headache medication to sleep but it eventually wears off and I wake up with headaches.

Unfortunately, Medicaid typically does not cover elective dental procedures such as implants. It will probably cover your tooth extractions and fillings, though. It may also cover a basic partial denture. If you really want implants, many dentists offer financing plans that may help you to afford them.&nbsp;
The best thing to do in your case is probably to find a provider in your area who accepts Medicaid and visit them for a consultation. Their patient coordinator will likely be able to find out exactly what Medicaid will cover and help you to finance any other treatment you may need.&nbsp;

I need a few teeth pulled, filled and implants to replace them. I can only pay with Medicaid. Who can I go to that would accept Medicaid?
