I'm a trans-femme person, and I made the decision to begin HRT over a decade ago. Gender dysphoria was impacting my life significantly, and finally decided to move forward. Initially, there were changes beginning to happen which confirmed my decision. After a very successful and wonderful FFS procedure with Dr. Spiegel, preparing and scheduling the next parts of my journey began . Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with cancer, and had to discontinue all hormone therapy permanently. This meant that natural breast formation was out of the picture. I overcame the cancer, and was cleared for breast augmentation in 2020. Nine days before surgery, more bad news: the cancer had reappeared, so my procedure was cancelled. This past May, I was finally cleared again, and immediately contacted the Spiegel Center. They were able to fit me into their surgery schedule pretty quickly. Carole, my care coordinator, was fantastic, helping me to get this going. My surgeon, Dr. Shektman, who works with the Spiegel Center, was fantastic, which really confirmed the high level of aesthetic and medical expertise that the Center offers. Dr. Shektman was very clear about what was involved, what I could realistically expect, risks, post-care, and answered all my questions. The day of the surgery was exciting for me; finally, this was taking place! The surgery went really well, and I was back home that night. I was back on my feet about a week later, somewhat sore, but very manageable, and following all my post-op instructions. It's been a month today, and I am THRILLED with the results. After wearing prosthetics for over ten years, the differences in how I look, and my view of myself continue to just get brighter. People I usually interact or work with have complimented me without really knowing why (lol), and the results make my figure look more natural than it's ever been. I can wear styles of blouses, tops, and dresses that I have never been able to with any degree of confidence. Now, I don't think about my chest area negatively at all; my breasts look great and I feel great!

I had a great experience with Dr. Shektman at the Spiegel center. I felt very comfortable from start to finish for my breast augmentation consultation to surgery. He answered all of my questions and helped me pick the perfect size for my body. After surgery it was very easy to reach him for follow up questions and I love my results The staff at the Spiegel Center were amazing. The front desk answered my many phone calls and questions with an amazing attitude and made me feel so comfortable before even stepping foot in the office. Uzma is my patient care coordinator and is incredible. She is always available to answer my emails and calls and has been lovely to work with! The Surgery Center located inside of the Spiegel Center was also amazing. The entire staff made surgery day go so well. I felt at ease with everything and they were just so nice!

Being that this was my first dive into reconstructive surgery, Dr. Shektman quickly put my mind at ease. He showed me his confidence in his knowledge. He made the consult, the surgery and follow ups quick and easy to understand. He never once used terms I didn't understand and while keeping it very basic not fill my head full information that i didn't need. Diane, his office manager was very knowledgeable as well. She was always quick to respond to my calls and emails. This making me very confident in the importance of my being a patient. Dr. Shektman was very accommodating with appointments and appointment times since I traveled almost 3 hours one way to reach his office. My final follow up six months out was a breeze. I made sure to ask that he wouldn't be retiring too soon because I plan on going back for a tummy tuck! I was not referred to Dr. Shektman. I found him by doing research online, while I contacted other offices, that would not get back to me, that also made me feel like a number. Dr. Shektman quickly became my choice. Prior to consult, I did more research on him, finding multiple YouTube videos of him explaining breast augmentation and different breast implants. His office is small but very nice, not all done up to show off materialism. This also proved to me he's a surgeon that is not full of himself, but is there to do great work for his patients! Thank you to, Dr. Shektman Diane, and his surgical team!! I am extremely happy with my results!

I got my 1st breast augmentation several months ago (with a different doctor), but I wasn't really satisfied with the results. Dr Shekhtman was really nice, was really easy to communicate with - and most importantly, NOW - after his revision - I LOVE my new breasts. They (both in my own opinion, and the one of friends) went straight from "well..." to "wow!"

Honest Review- I went to my consultation not knowing if I was even a candidate. I had a large apron over my stomach that made it hard to lose weight. I was losing hope. Meeting Dr. Shektman made feel like change was possible. He was able to remove the apron and perform liposuction. I not only look 100% better but feel like a new person. They were honest about the recovery and setting expectations. If I need anything else done, I would run to Dr Shektman!

Dr. Shektman is not only an incredible doctor and human, he is truly an artist. He is a professional through and through and his work is PHENOMENAL! I couldn't be happier with my results! His work is perfection and I wouldn't trust anyone else!

My experience with Dr. Shektman has been an experience worth bragging about! The front staff is very pleasant kind and always willing to answer all your questions no matter how many you may have! This is my second time with Dr.Shektman in 14 years. Again very pleased with the results. I had tummy tuck and liposuction done. Don’t waste time and money, highly recommend Dr.Shektman. In my opinion, the extensive experience that Dr. Shektman possesses made my decision to go for surgery a very simple one. The office is newly renovated and professionalism of the staff is second to none. The anesthesiologist is very attentive who you meet before your surgery and recovery is fast and easy.

Had a tummy tuck done by Dr. Shektman and honestly it was the most pleasant procedure I've had. He explained everything in detail and provided necessary resources to educate myself on pros and cons. He checked in on me frequently post op and made sure I had what I needed and was comfortable. His staff was literally amazing. I Would easily recommend him to anyone looking for quality and comfort in service for sure.

I've recently had breast augmentation with Dr. Shektman at the Spiegel Center and couldn't be happier with the results. I got 625 cc Silicone implants which to my surprise comport very nicely with my moderately thin figure, taking me from a C cup to about a G to H cup size. I'd also like to give a shout out to the office staff at the Spiegel Center, especially Eleanor(the patient coordinator) and to Faith and the other medical assistants, all of whom went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. If you're looking to enhance or bring out the real you, I highly recommend the Spiegel Center. Chances are, they have just the procedure you've been looking for. Davie Ann C.

I had smart lipo done at finesse cosmetics in Waltham by Dr Shektman. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The dr seemed to know what he was doing and he listened to my concerns and made me feel comfortable. The most painful part of the procedure was when they were injecting the lidocaine but there were times during the procedure where I did feel pain, he did inject more fluid tho but I'm not sure if it's because I worked out every day that week and was already sore.
