Hello Everyone. I thank all who have shared their stories NOW it's MY turn. After having my first child I gain a massive amount of weight. I was 140lbs before children and after my first born I went up to the 200s. I had more children after that and toped my weight at 278lbs. September 2011 I went in for Gastric bypass after years of struggling with my weight on yo-yo diets and being ridiculed by numerous amounts of people (as I didn't suffer enough seeing myself in the mirror). In 9 months I was at my lowest weigh that I have ever been (118lbs) and loved every minute of it. A year after Gastric I got pregnant with twins and gained some weight back. After my twin delivery I weighed in at 170lbs and have been stable at that weight for about 2 years. I loose 5-8lbs and go up and down like a little yo-yo. Finally after a little over 5 yrs I've decided to pursue having surgery and making myself happy to stand in front of a mirror again. My surgery is scheduled for February 15, 2017 and I'm only 1 day away from surgery and the nerves haven't kicked in yet. I will be having a fleur de Lis abdominoplasty with muscle tightening and some Lipo on the back flanks. I feel excited and anxious. I can't wait to have it down and see the final results. ** Updates will be posted after surgery once I'm awake and well. Updated on 20 Feb 2017: Update: My surgery day came and went. February 15 I became a brand new member to the FLAT SIDE. Days 1-2: was a little of a blur. I slept a lot due to the pain meds and muscle relaxers. Day 3-4: much better. Decreased the pain meds and been walking much more. Able to stand a bit straight and walk a bit faster. Day 5: I had enough of my recliner, four walls and my cabin fever blues. I decided to slowly get in the car and drive down the street to buy a few things (I know its something I shouldn't do). It felt great but I was glad to be home. My thoughts on my first FULL view of my flat side: it was an amazing feeling to finally see my waist without the compression garment (which I hate). I'm healing well. Sutures are dry and looking great. Drains are still in and are draining less every day. More updates to come: February 22 I'll be meeting with my surgeon. Hopefully my drains come out during this visit and maybe I can finally find out How much skin came off me.
I have an appointment with Dr Slama for December 8. I need to have a breast lift with implants , tummy tuck with liposuction and fat transfer to butt . I am not sure if this is a good doctor since there is no much reviews about him . This is a big decision and I am very scare . There is any recommendations of doctors in Massachussets .?
