I was referred to Dr Darrow by a friend, I had recently had a significant weight loss, as well as 3 kids with 3 c sections over an 8 year period of time. My abdominal wall was never the same and no matter what I did, I wasn't able to get the flat appearance I was working hard for. I had emailed his office first, Ali is amazing and so helpful. His office is over an hour away without traffic. He made time to call me personally on the phone and answer any questions/concerns I had before I officially booked the consult. Once in the office, he was very kind and professional. He made both my husband and I very comfortable. He first asked what bothered me the most, and what I wanted to see as results. Then he reviewed the procedures, and suggested what he thought would give me the best results for what I was looking for. He understood the need to have this be a one and done type surgery, since I had 3 kids to get back to. He worked with his team and made it as safe and possible. He was with me before I went under, and he was sitting next to my stretcher when I woke up. He made personal phone calls there after to check in on me. If I had to do anything ever again, there is no doubt who I would go to, or refer others to. He and his team made a hard decision very comfortable and easy. I had a lower body lift and breast augmention with implant.

Dr. Darrow was an incredible surgeon, from the first consult all the way to my most recent check-in after surgery. Not only was I able to get in only a few weeks after my consult, but the price was much more reasonable than other quotes i had received from Boston-area surgeons. The results were spot on - pretty much nailed my aesthetic goal (i provided morphed photos beforehand). Very pleasant demeanor and someone that puts you at ease immediately (speaking as somebody with zero surgery experience previous to this). His entire team (assistant Alex, nurse, anesthesia team) are all wonderful. Professional setting, easy to work with, timely, very informative; overall just the best possible experience i could have hoped for. I had surgery and two weeks later no bruising, pain, or sensitivity! Truly the work of a skilled surgeon. Really hope others consider Dr. Darrow for nose jobs, because i certainly don't regret it at all.

I can't say enough about this skilled surgeon. During the initial consultation Dr. Darrow listened attentively to my areas of concern. He explained what procedures would be best for me and why. I knew I wanted a neck lift and my jowls diminished. I also thought i wanted my eyes done but he told me he did not recommend any eye surgery at this time. I was impressed with his honest and conservative approach. On the day of surgery, the staff were all excellent! Michaela and Raquel were both warm, attentive and calming. The anesthesiologist was just great and the night nurse, Livie was terrific and patient despite a pretty demanding patient all night. (no, it wasn't me! :) ) Prior to the surgery, Dr. Darrow came in and explained the procedures again and made sure I did not have any further questions. The surgery itself was 100 times easier than I had imagined. Yes, you are sore and swollen and wobbly for a bit, but I was out walking in my neighborhood less than 2 days later. I had minimal bruising and even met my kids for dinner in a restaurant 5 days later. I am thrilled with my younger neck and have my angular face back that I have not seen for years. The best thing is how natural it looks as I had a fear of looking "pulled and plastic". I highly recommend Dr. Darrow. His skillset, warm personality and caring staff puts you in great hands!

My journey with Dr. Darrow began in 2012 when I was a personal trainer and a fitness competitor. I am more than pleased with my experience with Dr. Darrow. I recently underwent a breast augmentation and love my results. I spent many months researching plastic surgeons (looking through before and after photos, looking at websites, and certifications) and kept coming back to Dr. Darrow. I loved his photos the most because I found that his breast augmentation results looked the most real and natural. Pre- consultation: I emailed Dr. Darrow’s assistant and made an appointment about a month or two out from when I called. I really appreciated that there was no consultation fee. For me this is a small but larger gesture than one may think. It shows that he was more interested in my personal happiness than receiving money from me. Consultation: I felt very comfortable and happy being in his office. He is an extremely knowledgeable surgeon who answered my never-ending list of questions, never making me feel like I was wasting his time and/ or was being rushed. He was very upfront with me and told me the negatives that can result from a breast augmentation but reassured me on how to prevent it from happening. Another thing I appreciated was that he did say something along the lines of “even if it is not me, please make sure you have a surgeon who you are extremely comfortable with and is not just a plastic surgeon but is also an American Board certified plastic surgeon.” Again, this shows he is interested in my own happiness and will give me this best advice to do so. Surgery day: He does perform his surgeries at his own practice which may make some people more nervous vs being in a hospital. I was not nervous at all and felt very comfortable with his staff – Alexandria, Kim (nurse), and anesthesiologist who I can’t remember the name. My surgery was very quick (about an hour to an hour and a half). I came out feeling amazing! I know recovery is different for everyone, I watched many breast augmentation vlogs on youtube and it seemed liked I had the easiest recovery out of them all (I know this can vary depending on the amount of breast tissue you have beforehand). All I had was minor discomfort at times, but no pain and I didn’t even take all the medications that were given. I personally believe this is a reflection on your surgeon. My stiches are also very small and minimal which shows he is highly skilled. I love the size and shape of my breasts and finally have the breasts I have always dreamed of. Post Op: Everything is healing really well, and they look great. He again answered all my questions and informed me about what I can and cannot do. We will have another appointment in a month or so to take photos and make sure I am all good to go! I highly recommend Dr. Darrow!

I had my neck lift a month ago. I am so thrilled with it. The healing was a breeze. I had no doubt that I would be happy. I have used Dr Darrow in the past for some things face and body related. He has done amazing stuff with my body also. I had 120 lb weight loss over 40 years ago and have been fine tuning as procedures have advanced . My family and friends use Dr. Darrow. A visit to Dr. Darrow is a pleasure. He educates us and is so patient and kind. I also had some filler in my top lip to keep the shape, so natural looking. I know people worry about that, so I thought that I'd mention it. You are in good safe hands with Dr Darrow and his amazing staff.

I hated my mono eyelid. Dr Darrow is amazing. It’s now been 2 years and I love my eyelid. You can’t even tell I had surgery there. I keep returning bc he is that amazing in what he does. He is passionate and patience. If he doesn’t think you need work done he will continue to be honest no matter how many times you asks.

I had the best experience with Dr Darrow for a rhinoplasty and breast augmentation. In the initial consultation, he was thorough and patient - he answered all my questions and his photo prediction software helped me really visualize the potential results. Surgery day was smooth and he even called to check up on me the next day, and was available for any questions I had in the post-op period. Now the fun part - results. I was truly blown away by the outcome of both my rhinoplasty and breast augmentation. They were simultaneously very close to the prediction images, and also so much better than I expected. I was particularly nervous about the rhinoplasty because it requires a fair amount of artistry and surgical technique - Dr Darrow listened to every small thing I wanted, advised me on what was possible, and I can really see every aspect of those changes in my new nose. I wanted big changes, and Dr Darrow was able to do this while still making my nose and breasts look very natural. I had consults with several plastic surgeons in Boston, and am so happy I chose Dr Darrow to do my surgery. As a doctor myself, I was very picky and discerning throughout the entire process - I would highly recommend Dr Darrow to anyone without hesitation.

After having for children and breast-feeding for about eight years total, I was quite excited to go through a mommy makeover to reconstruct my abdomen and breasts. I met with several surgeons and immediately liked Dr. Darrow. He was honest about the results I could expect and felt very at ease during the appointment. His pricing was also very reasonable compared to other doctors I spoke with. I was excited to book my procedure. The waiting was difficult, but my surgical date was finally yesterday. I chose to spend the night in the facility which was such a great idea. I was the only patient there and had a one on one nurse, Kat. She was absolutely wonderful. She let me rest and make sure I was given medication on time. She also was lovely to chat with and was just such a nice person. The entire surgical team was wonderful. Dr. Keene, the anesthesiologist, had such a jolly nature and really put you at ease right away. He explained everything ahead of time and was just great. Dr. Darrow checked in after the surgery, also in the evening before he left the office, and first thing when he arrives the next morning. All of my questions were answered at all times. I had been really worried after reading many of the reviews on here about pain in recovery, but so far, things have been OK. I understand the next couple of days maybe the worst but so far I am doing very well!! I have taken 5 g oxy every 4 hours and diazepam for muscle spasm every 6, plus tylenoL. All seems well so far! I’ll post pcs when I can take more, but these are the before pics & immediately after. Updated on 10 Mar 2022: Came home this am and tried to e up and about every hour. Also, have cut oxy down to 5 mg and am uncomfortable but not nearly as bad as some other people described! Loving my breasts and can’t wait to shower tomorrow and see the tummy too! Updated on 11 Mar 2022: Got a shower today and feel like I’m turning a corner in recovery. While yesterday I slept most of the day and was on 5mg oxy plus diazepam, today I’ve been on Tylenol only, 1000 mg q 6 hours. I’m uncomfortable but wouldn’t say in pain. Showering was tricky and I did need help especially getting back into my garment. Lots of bruising and I’m mostly sore at my incision site and my lower back, which is very bruised. Updated on 13 Mar 2022: Feeling so much better- days 2 & 3 were definitely the most challenging, but still not terrible, and I was happy to have lots of support at home. My surgical incisions look good and are actually still numb, so no real pain or irritation at the sites (anchor incision on breasts and hip-to-hip incision on belly). The worst pain has been a tightness/pain at my upper abdomen and lower back pain. I have a lot of bruising there too, so I assume this is a combo of lipo as well as my back adjusting after changes to my rectus abdominus muscles. I only needed stronger pain meds for first 1] days, and now I’ve even dropped to just 500 mg of Tylenol (instead of 1000) q 6 hours. I feel I could probably go without. I’ve also been doing homeopathic arnica to assist with bruising as well as curcumin for inflammation. My bruising is clearing remarkably fast- I took photos in morning & evening yesterday & can tell a significant difference. I also swapped to a new faja today (purchased off of Amazon for about $35) and a target zip front sports bra. The faja has a single zipper in front rather than 2 on the sides and it feels great to have that pressure in a different location- a good consideration to buy a few styles so that points where there may be a seam or a rub will be different on each one. All in all, doing great! Glad I did the surgery & I feel like I’m thru the worst of it and can see light at the end of the tunnel! If you’re thinking about it, I’d encourage you to go for it! And if you’re in Boston, definitely consider Dr. Darrow! Updated on 17 Mar 2022: Not all photos are loading, but healing seems to be going ok. My breast healing has been so easy- no pain or even discomfort- just a bit of warmth. And my incision is healing very well even in just a week! Tummy is feeling itchy- I’ll be happy to get the irritating drains out. I am comfortable & not thinking about pain until I’m sue to more Tylenol, but definitely still need it! Areas for lipo are crazy bruised and sore! A few considerations- compression garments can be irritating- I highly recommend getting a few different brands/styles with different zipper locations, as it is great to mix it up to avoid sore spots! Also, sleep pillows! If you’re not a back sleeper, you’ll need to be, so consider what props you might use to be able to get better sleep. This has been an unexpected challenge, as I’m generally a great sleeper, but am sometimes getting only 2-3 hours at night (not great for healing! & needing more daytime sleep!)
