I went to see Dr. Sofola for surgery to correct breathing problems and a dorsal hump and collumela. The breathing has been corrected, but he left my nose almost the same as before. I still have a big nose, the hump can still be seen, and I have an unnatural appearance to my nose. Not happy with the results.
5 out of 5 stars African American Rhinoplasty
Dr. Sofola is absolutely exceptional at what he does. Upon meeting him at my first appointment, he was honest, kind, willing to talk for as long as I needed, and emphasized the goal of "facial harmony." He was clearly an expert on aesthetics (not surprising given his experience in facial reconstruction). I had a wide bridge and very bulbous tip. Finding a surgeon who specialized in working with black patients was by biggest concern. I honestly feared ending up with results like many of the "after" pictures I'd seen during my searching - Michael-Jacksonish, very obviously done, results. I still wanted to look like myself! He really made sure he understood my wishes and he was very straightforward about expectations. In terms of the procedure itself, Dr. Sofola successfully narrowed the bridge of my nose and successfully refined the tip...I'd say my nose is about 15% smaller now overall, and man what a difference that 15% makes. My nose, once too big and wide, now fits my face perfectly. I feel so much more like myself and yet no one except very close family members and very close friends can tell - exactly what I'd hoped for! Another aspect of Dr. Sofola's practice that I very much appreciate is his pricing...it is very reasonable (unlike many other surgeons' rates unfortunately). All in all, I am 110% pleased with my experience, my results, and definitely my surgeon! I am so happy I did this and so happy I found Dr. Sofola!

I really feel comfortable with my doctor and his capabilities. He understood what I wanted and seem to not only understand what type of nose I wanted but he also understood the symmetry of my face.
