5 out of 5 stars Mommy Makeover
Dr. Casas is direct and will tell you what she thinks - NOT what you want to hear. It starts with an hour long consult where she goes over everything from diet to exercise to posture. She won't hesitate to tell you what you need to do before, during and after. She also also provided me options - want them both together then it is general anesthesia in the hospital. Separate the two and it can be local anesthesia in the office. Cheaper by about $1200 to do the local. But more importantly, my paranoia over dying for a tummy tuck was gone! It freaked me out at first because this isn't like getting a tooth pulled. But Dr. Casas has a tried and true concoction of over the counter and prescription medicine that knocks you out. And if you wake up (you don't feel much because you are lidocained everywhere) they pop a pill in your mouth. Also, she offers you the option to speak with fellow patients who have gone through this. Honestly, I recovered at least 50% faster than my friends who had similar surgeries and I had them two weeks apart so I could use the Christmas holidays to recover. While I took two weeks off after the second surgery (tummy tuck, which was 2 weeks after the breast lift) I could have gone back earlier. The lack of general anesthesia is so much easier on your body. I was back at work 4 days after the breast lift with no one the wiser. Dr. Casas is a perfectionist - she is fantastic at what she does. She won't promise miracles because each body is different but she does the absolute best with what she has. She is available by phone and text 24x7 even when she is on vacation. And the lymph massages really made a difference to recovery. She and her staff are the BEST in Chicago and I couldn't be happier.
5 out of 5 stars Breast Augmentation
I had a breast reduction that left me with saggy breasts. After many referrals I went to Dr.Casas for an augmentaion to replace the lost volume. She took the time to explain everything about the procedure. She is extremely thorough from the consultation to post-op care. She also believes in making her patients look natural.I could not be happier with the results and continue to see Dr. Casas for other procedures. Would not think of going to another doctor!
5 out of 5 stars Tummy Tuck
Dr. Casas is the best! She is interested in your overall health and well-being, not just your surgery. She explains each procedure in depth and will be honest about your outcomes. She views the surgery as a team effort, and it really is! Her office staff is friendly and welcoming, and her office coordinator Jenny may be the nicest person on the planet (seriously!). I saw her for my breast augmentation, and went back for my tummy tuck. She is a perfectionist, and expects a lot out of you as the patient, but if you comply with her directions it pays off!
5 out of 5 stars Mini Tummy Tuck
I was impressed with Dr. Casas the day I saw her for an initial consultation. She spent a lot of time doing both an exam/evaluation as well as answering questions in the calm environment of her personal office. Although Dr. Casas is very busy, she never made me feel like she was rushed or didn't have time for me. What absolutely blew me away about Dr. Casas was the fact that she encouraged me to send any questions I might have to her personal email address. She personally responded to each of them quickly -- always within 24 hours, but usually within 2-3 hours!! That kind of responsiveness is rare and really meant so much to me at a time when I was nervous that I was doing or would do something wrong after my surgery. Dr. Casas' office staff are also top-notch! Jenny Day, Dr. Casas' office manager, is truly one of the kindest people I have ever met. She, too, spends as much time with patients as they need. Although not a nurse, Jenny is very knowledgeable about every aspect of Dr. Casas' practice. She is very helpful when it comes to answering questions and also connects patients with a nurse or PA when appropriate. She is very detailed in her explanations of procedure costs and is a wonderful all-around resource. Since the time of my surgery, I have also had several Botox treatments as well as photo rejuvenation. I've been thrilled with the natural-looking results of these procedures as well! You absolutely cannot go wrong by choosing Dr. Casas!!
5 out of 5 stars Labiaplasty
I (honestly) have never felt more comfortable with a doctor before. I feel like Dr. Casas treats me with the same amount of kindness, respect, and care as she would a close friend or family member. She personally seems to really care about me, my progress, how I am feeling, and my satisfaction. I think she is ahead of the rest of plastic surgeons, as she focuses on diet and supplements as part of the healing process along with prescription medication. She wants her patients to be as healthy and happy as possible. I am very hands on and like to feel as though I am in complete control of everything, but with her I trust her completely and I can sit back and let her make the call. She is a true expert and a wonderful person as well. BONUS: she made herself accessible and told me that I could text her personal cell phone after surgery if any concerns came up. So far, I have had none. But knowing how accessible she is puts my mind at ease.
5 out of 5 stars Breast Lift
Dr. Casas is an artist. She is a perfectionist. She is also patient and very professional. I could not have asked for more in a doctor or in the outcome of my breast lift.
5 out of 5 stars Smart Lipo
Dr. Casas is amazing. She made me feel like I was her only important patient. She is very detailed in her instructions. I followed them religiously and it paid off. The massage therapy 3 days/week made all the difference in the healing process. Dr. C. does not waste your money. Follow her instructions and you should be very happy with the results. I am looking forward to Sculptra injections to restore some fullness to my cheeks. Dr. Casas is my only choice. She is the best!

Background: Inverted T-pattern breast reduction does not directly address axillary or lateral chest wall fullness. Lipoplasty of this tissue has been advocated by some surgeons to reduce additional scarring. Objective: A prospective study was designed to examine the differences in wound healing of the breast reduction skin flaps when ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL) and suction-assisted lipoplasty (SAL) were each used as an adjunct to inverted T-pattern breast reduction surgery...
Background Plastic surgeons and manufacturers of breast implants have been examining the complication and reoperation rates of primary breast augmentations for more than 18 years. The seemingly high rates reported by the manufacturers to the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) were the impetus for this multicenter study. Objective This paper reports on data pooled from three plastic surgery practices that were geographically distributed across the United States and examines the...
Background: Characteristics of the aging face include soft tissue atrophy, loss of skin elasticity resulting in excess facial skin, and gravitational descent or ptosis of facial soft tissues. Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) is a synthetic biodegradable polymer that provides soft tissue augmentation through stimulation of an inflammatory tissue response with subsequent collagen deposition. Objective: The authors discuss the special considerations inherent in facial aging, describe the mechanism of...
The field of cosmetic medicine continues to develop because of our desire to provide safe, predictable, aesthetic results for our patients. This supplement is a valuable and practical resource for well-trained aesthetic practitioners who administer botulinum neurotoxin type A (BoNT-A). In addition, it allows the provider to better understand the clinically-relevant details of the current aesthetic applications of abobotulinumtoxinA (Dysport; Medicis Aesthetics, Inc, Scottsdale, Arizona)....
Acute postoperative pain after ambulatory aesthetic surgery that involves large muscles or multiple-area soft tissue traumas may be effectively managed without narcotics. The authors describe how they use COX-2 inhibitors, bolus (large-area local anesthetic), or continuous-infusion local anesthetic. Managing acute postoperative pain after ambulatory surgery has been ignored in postgraduate medical education and medical textbooks1–3 and journals,4 whereas managing pain in the hospitalized...
