Instalift and Sculptra with Dr. Steil Hinsdale, IL

Hi there! I have been meaning to write this review for a long time. I have been doing sculpture since I turned 46, I just started a new decade ( you can guess! ) and the last year I went one step further in keeping my own collagen going with Silhouette Instalifts. I originally only did my left side as that side was more lax, but then I added the other side for a total of 3 strings per side. I think using at least 3 is necessary to see substantial results and I am very pleased with how my skin continues to respond to the threads! ***YOU must know that this is not instant despite the name. It takes TIME TO WORK. Below are some photos in chronological order. Furthermore, Dr. Steil is truly the best!! I have been seeing her now for years and she is always so attentive, a wonderful listener and a TRUE artist with a needle. I do not let anyone else touch my face! I have rarely used HA fillers and the couple times I did they just metabolize super fast so sculpture and radiesse has been my go to's. I have done very minimal botox. Everyone is different but for me, despite taking some time to work, the collagen stimulants have given me the most natural look and have truly slowed the aging down. Most think I'm 10yrs younger then I am. Thank you Dr. Steil, I'm sure I'll be seeing you soon!

Mole Removal - Hinsdale, IL

Dr. Steil is the best, she is so professional and precise. I came in for a full body mole check and she spent so much time with me, I did not feel rushed at all. She really cares about her patients! I had a mole removed and she oh so effortlessly and painlessly made the experience all well worth it. Thank you Dr. Steil.

no need to fear fractora! - Hinsdale, IL

I am writing this review only 4 days from the procedure. So I am not quite sure yet if it will do what I am hoping, however, I did want to complete a positive review regarding the process and procedure. In case anyone is fearful of having a Fractora treatment...don't be! The numbing cream works wonders. I did not feel "very much" and what I did feel was nothing to fear. It certainly was not in the "pain" category. The other aspect I was nervous about was how terrible would I look after. I am very red and blotchy, however, no where near what I was fearing. I still had to block out 7 days (I hope not more) before venturing outside. I can not wear make up, so I figure I might as well stay in and get things done in the house. This is day 4 and I am still blotchy red, not as much, but still enough that I look bad...and I only had half a face done. I do feel it is beginning to fade, so I am really hoping by day 7 I can make it in public with no worries! As far as what you feel. after the treatment, is pretty much nothing. Your face is a bit hot for about 30 minutes or less. The numbness wears off quickly. The post care also had me nervous, but that too is simply washing your face with a cleanser and then apply a topical cream, both of which I purchased at the Dr.s office. You also can use Vaseline, which I do use at night instead of the cream I purchased. All very simple to perform. Your face does not hurt, so you don't mind cleansing and keeping moist. I hope I have alleviated any fears anyone might be experiencing about this procedure. I did take some before pics. If my after pics turn out just spectacular, I will share them with you at a later date. I was told for the results I want I should have 3 treatments. I know I will have 2, then decide where I go from there. So it may be awhile, but I will keep you posted! To early for "after" pics at this date.

2 Injections of SCULPTRA and I'm in Love!!!! - Hinsdale, IL

I had Sculptra twice now. First injections around my temples and cheeks in Sept of 2015 and then I did a follow up in Dec, 2015. I can honestly say it is the most amazing product out there and will probably be getting tune-up's for the rest of my life! I have a very little face so I did not need a whole lot and it still worked beautifully. It worked so well I have yet to have my third injection, but I plan to soon. It has given the most natural effect one could ask for without going back in time. Subtle but enough to notice. pictures coming!

Exelis Eyes for Crepe-y Skin... - Hinsdale, IL

I had a consultation with Dr. Steil where we discussed all possible ways to help my skin concerns. (uneven pigmentation from years of sun damage, loose/crepe-y skin under my eyes, firming my skin in general - jaw mostly). She didn't push any procedures, but explained how Ultherapy could help the neck, jaw and face tightening and lifting i was seeking. Exelis was the best treatment for the delicate undereye area. And she suggested that a laser treatment followed by a peel would help the pigmentation. She also introduced me to a cleanser and lotion that lightens melasma on my chest and face without the dangers of an rx. I decided to do the Ultherapy first. Amber did the procedure and she was wonderful. So patient with all of my questions and really put me at ease. I could see results within a week, but they should show up for the next 6 months. Now I am on my second Exelis eyes. I am very happy with the results so far, and I don't find the procedure painful at all. warm, yes. Painful, never. I had an IPL with Kathy a few weeks ago. Kathy is fantastic. so kind and knowledgable. It has started to lighten my redness and got rid of some age/sun spots. I'll keep going back... :)

She explained what the issues were and gave me a variety of treatment options. She was responsive to my questions post-treatment. Dave K

Derma Pen - Hinsdale, IL

I had a procedure call "Derma Pen". It was performed in the office of Dr. Christina Steil, Hinsdale, IL by her nurse, Kathy Mandarino. It's a device shaped like a pen with tiny needles at the end of it (which are discarded after each patient). It aerates, tightens and smoothes the skin. It doesn't hurt at all. It just feels like scratching. The intensity can be adjusted to each patient according to their comfort level. Afterwards, there were just a few spots on my face that were a little red with no pain at all. I didn't wash my face that night, but put a little of the bio-serum I was given on. The next morning my face felt soft, smooth and tighter and looked radiant.

For Me....bonus of Less Stress Headeaches - Hinsdale, IL

I'm 39 and started going to a local dermatologist for "fight 40." Among other things, she suggested botox for my forehead wrinkles. I finally caved in April of this year. It was only intend for cosmetic purposes..obviously, but I had read that it may help headaches. Also to clarify, I get tension headaches all the time and a true migraine about once a year. I like the results of cosmetic botox, truly it is an art and if someone does not know what they are doing the results look so plastic to me. At any rate, I noticed right away that my headaches decreased by maybe~80%. The proof was really in the pudding when my headaches came right back shortly before the 3 month mark. Almost as soon as I got my second round of botox, the headaches went away again. I am considering talking to my general practitioner about this, however, my concerns are: I have never asked her about my headaches previous to this, and I don't have faith that if she does inject my forehead or other areas that she will do an artistic job to both a medically and cosmetically. For now, I will just continue to use botox cosmetically and see if the abatement of headaches continues. An after thought, I am not in the medical field, but my husband is, so I really try tied to quantify my experience and also look at it realistically. I was pleasantly surprised by this product.
