D. Scott Rotatori, MD

I have hated my profile since high school and realized it was only getting worse as I got older. My mom has always had a saggy neck and I am turning 40 this year so I decided it was finally the right time. I picked Dr. Rotatori bc he was highly recommended by several people I know, including administrators at the local hospital. He was also reasonably priced, especially compared to another flashier surgeon I consulted with. I went in knowing I wanted the implant and Lipo, he also recommended fat transfer for my chin fold as it was deep. Updated on 28 Jul 2019: The surgery was done with general anesthesia, I was in a lot of pain after but managed to get through the night taking one pain pill every 3 hrs. The next day I loosened the compression dressing bc I think it was pressing too much on my chin and that offered great relief. I was super swollen and the bruising was dark on my chin where the fat transfer went. My lips and the inside of my mouth were swollen and bruised. 2 days after I was able to stop the pain pills and felt pretty normal but still looked terrible. 3 days after I worked from home and it was fine. I’m now 9 days postop and the bruising is still there but the swelling is down and I’m so happy with my neckline in profile shots. From the front I think I look the same. I can’t smile or talk normal yet but I know that may take months to resolve. I went to Dr Rotatori for a consultation for a chin implant. He advised against it which is proof that he’s not just trying to get money from people. I was prepared to pay 4000 for an implant and he suggested a simple filler instead. I came back a few weeks later for the filler and I am thrilled with the results. He is informative and doesn’t rush the conversations. He answered all of my questions and did a great job with the filler. I was numbed thoroughly and didn’t feel a thing. Updated on 16 Nov 2021: I was always nervous about getting face fillers but I noticed that the area around my mouth was hallowing out. I went to see Dr Sott Rotatori and he gave me Juviderm ultra plus and now I look 20 years younger. It wasn't too painful because my face was numbed first with a numbing cream and Dr Rotatori was gentle and quick. I bruised for a few days because I'm very fair skinned, but then it looked perfect! I'm definitely going back as soon as this wears off in 6 to 8 months.

SO beyond pleased with my BA. Excited to go back to Dr. Rotatori for an implant exchange and upgrade to gel! I currently have saline and my surgery is set for dec 21. Overall I highly recommend Dr Rotatori, his bedside manner was excellently and so was the staff- they were also available when I called with any issues post op!

Updated on 4 Dec 2017: I had been contemplating having my neck tightened for some time now. My local plastic surgeon only did this procedure in hospital. I checked Realself and found excellent reviews for Dr. Rotatori who did it in office using local anesthesia. I went for a consult and felt totally confident that I had made the best decision. I set up my appointment and had all my questions answered by his caring and skilled staff. One of my biggest concerns was that it was a 5 hour surgery. I worried that I would need the restroom. I really should have considered that the operation could not be stopped in order for me to go to the bathroom. I have never worn them, but if I ever do anything like this again, I will be wearing Depends. I had already taken nausea medicine when I arrived and was then given a cocktail to relax me. Everything went very well though I did have some discomfort where the anesthesia hadn't totally numbed me. I was given another pill and possibly fell asleep because the next thing I remember, it was over. I felt very sleepy and spent most of the day napping, icing, and taking pain meds. Not near as bad as I expected. Everything looks great already but I have a small issue with skin causing a crease where the lift stopped on either side of temples. Hopefully he can address it when I go in to get my stitches out I am very pleased so far. Dr. Rotatori deserves his excellent reputation.Updated on 4 Dec 2017: Very good stitch work. This picture shows the area of concern when the lower face lift ended. It seems the skin above it is hanging over on both sides pulling my eyes downwards. I'm hoping it's just swelling that will resolve on it's own but I will feel better having Dr. Rotatori address it when I go get my stitches out in 3 days.Updated on 8 Dec 2017: Went back to the office two days ago and Rachel, his wonderful medical assistant, removed some of the stitches. Today she removed the rest. Feels so good. She basically told me I could walk for exercise now and to keep Eucerin on the incision areas. She also told me to massage areas under my eyes that were retaining fluid. She said everything was looking very good and for me to come back and see Dr. Rotatori early next year. I'm so excited to see the improvement from when I first came into his office!

What a skilled, professional, caring person! Though my procedure was only 3 weeks ago, I can already see how happy I am going to be with the final results. I had seen his work on 4 of my friends and was so impressed with their results - and their experiences - that I flew across the country to see him! Once all the swelling is gone, I will post before and after pictures.

I was very fortunate to have found Dr Rotatori I did many interviews and even went to Florida hospital and asked the Professionals and Dr. Rotatori was in all the opinions I received. Confidence, a proven track record and realistic...my criteria met. Many cosmetic procedures later and healing beautifully from a TCA peel as I write this review I was compelled to help somebody be as lucky as I was to find a Doctor who wants you to meet your potential as much as you do. The staff is so kind and caring and even after the procedures done you are never alone.

I had a lower facelift. This procedure gave me a smooth jawline and high cheekbones once again. The doctor managed to improve all my face from eyes down and even my upper neck (without an incision under my chin). I look like a better version of myself and feel like I got a lot for my money. The doctor managed to hide his incisions so that I was able to go out in public a lot sooner than I expected. I definitely feel the procedure was worth the money and discomfort. You are in good hands with Dr. Rotatori.

I recently had my Pre Op appointment! Fourteen more days until surgery! I've been waiting for this moment for years and I'm now finally taking the leap! I'm very nervous and excited about the whole thing and would like to share my pre op, and recovery experience! I'll keep updating as I will be resting in recovery for at least 10 days after surgery. I'm scared after scrolling through and seeing failed attempts but then I see the successful ones and become hopeful again. I've just wanted this for so long. Having trouble sleeping every night because it's all I'm thinking about! Anxiety but mostly excitement! I've been waiting for this moment for over 10 years, now I only have to wait 5 more days!! Praying everything goes well and I love my results! I trust my doctor, he just did work on one of my good friends nose and did a great job on her. I'll have at least ten days off from work to recover, heal, and relax while the swelling goes down. And during those days I'll keep posting updates on how everything is going. Updated on 12 Sep 2016: So I got bored today and attempted another photo editing on my chin, to calm my nerves and help me be more excited than nervous about the upcoming surgery. Not sure if this is actually accurate at all but it's something! Also, I booked an appointment today for next week to get Botox on a wrinkle that never goes away between my eyebrows. Once I go to my consultation I'll be writing a separate review about that experience. But we are getting close! 4, almost 3 days left until chin surgery day! Can not wait!! Updated on 15 Sep 2016: Tomorrow is the big day for me! Today I'm gonna spend the day preparing for recovery. Loading up on ice packs, soups, pillows, and whatever else I need to keep me entertained. If anyone has any tips to add to make the recovery easier, please feel free to comment! My anxiety today is at a 10 and I probably won't be able to sleep tonight! They're running an hour late! It's an agonizing wait! I'm starving and nervous!!! Updated on 16 Sep 2016: Surgery is over and I'm finally home resting in my bed. Yeah, my chin hurts, but the most irritating part is my soar throat! (From the breathing tube) Hopefully that goes away soon. I have to wear this head band until Sunday, then I can take it off and see my new chin. I'll literally be sleeping until then. Will update in a few days! Time for sleep! Updated on 17 Sep 2016: Tip: use a U shaped pillow to hold your ice pack or frozen peas in place while you lay down or sleep. It works like a charm and stays there all night! Feeling better than yesterday- sore throat wise. Only been able to drink liquids but today I was able to have a little bit of noodles in my chicken noodle soup. My boyfriend is the best nurse I could ask for! He's been so supportive and is always checking on me, getting me things, even running to the store at 1 in the morning for more frozen peas! He's been so good to me, I am blessed for that. Still can't see my chin but that's okay. Everyone keeps saying not to judge it at first look so I'll just wait until I'm mentally prepared. Will probably take a look tomorrow evening. I'll give you guys a picture when I go in for my post op on Friday. My routine is sleep/nap, food of some sort, antibiotics, wait an hour to take pain meds, then back to nap. I'll keep you all posted on my progress! Updated on 18 Sep 2016: I got to take the really tight head band off! Thank Goodness! It was painful to wear! I'll put it back on later but I really needed to release all the pressure! It was killing me! I looked at my face and I know I'm not looking at my results so I'm not freaking out just yet. My whole lower half of my face is extremely swollen! Very masculine looking. But that should go down eventually. Still in some pain but it's only day 2. Recovery is not fun but I didn't expect it to be. Hopefully it will all be over and satisfying soon. Updated on 20 Sep 2016: Still feel pain. It slightly gets better each day tho. I still can't eat much, or open my mouth either. But that also slightly gets better each day. I also talk funny. I noticed some yellowness bruising yesterday under my chin. I look like Jay Leno. My mouth looks small and my chin looks boxy. Still pretty swollen. I know my chin will take several months to form into what it's supposed to look like. If you experienced all this please comment to reassure me that it's all normal. lol I just don't wanna start obsessing or getting depressed over it. I'm praying all heals well and I love my results in the end. Updated on 21 Sep 2016: I'm so sad today. I know it's only the beginning but my face and the fact that I can't leave the house because of my face is making me so depressed. It's SO boxy looking! My mouth is so small and I can't even smile. I miss my old small chin already. I'm so impatient I guess but I just want to get out and get back to work because I found out yesterday I need to move out in 8 weeks. Just wish it was more like Angelina Jolie and less like Jay Leno. There must be a way to boost this process before I get into depression mode. Ahg. Updated on 24 Sep 2016: I know it's going to be a long process for results. Today my chin still seems big, especially from the front, making my mouth look small, and can't smile so that doesn't help either. I might just be getting used to it but I do feel like each day gets better tho. I just hope my implant isn't too big. Can't tell this early on. I have no pain at all tho, just waiting patiently for my chin to slim down a bit. I've experienced no numbing what so ever since the surgery. Which I thought was odd because it seems everyone else has. Pineapple juice has reduced the swelling significantly along with ibuprofen. Works like a charm and highly recommend it! I have another post op appointment October 11, if it's still big, I'll ask my doctor what he thinks, if the implant may be too big or not. It's a few weeks til then so we'll see how it's forms. You can really see the swelling here. Updated on 25 Sep 2016: It's been 9 days and I'm feeling much better today! I'm leaving the house and going to see a show tonight! I may know a few people there as well so this will be interesting. I think once I take this bandaid off from underneath my chin, it will make that area look slimmer. But I can't do that until Friday at 2 weeks. Feeling good today and ready to show my face to the public finally! Updated on 27 Sep 2016: So my bandaid over my incision started peeling off in the shower. She (nurse lady) initially said to take it off on Friday, 2 weeks post. I called her and she said if it's coming off that means it's ready and as long as I've had it on for a good week I'll be good. So I took it off and here's my scar! So far. I'm going to put vitamin E oil on it as it continues to heal to lessen the appearance. Updated on 27 Sep 2016: Here's a better picture. I think it's healing very well, you can barley see the scar at all. Can't wait til it's all done healing! Updated on 29 Sep 2016: I'm nearly two weeks now. I still feel like it looks a little too big. My scar is a lump. And I can see where my implant starts in my jaw. Not sure if all of that is because it's still swelling or what. I like it sometimes but not all the time. Not 100% yet but I know, I have to just keep waiting and see. Also, I got Botox between my eyes today! It was nothin'! Quick, easy, painless! And apparently that takes a week to set in and start working. I'll keep you all posted and hopefully I'll be more satisfied with my chin soon. Updated on 3 Oct 2016: Day 17 and doing really well!! Just wanted to post a current before and after pic! Started with some scar cream to flatten the scar out. Swelling has also gone down a lot recently and I can see that the wings are blending into my jaw line much better! I'm so happy! Updated on 11 Oct 2016: I went to another post op appointment today. The doctor says there is definitely still some welling under my chin due to the path he made to get the implant inside. That whole area is still very tender. He says to massage it but when he did it to me it kinda hurt. I'll be going to see him again in a month. He says there's still some change that will happen over the next month or so, so I must be patient. Updated on 4 Nov 2016: Doing good! Each day seems to get better! Just wanted to post some updated pics! Here ya go! Updated on 9 Dec 2016: The results are not quite like I expected. I don't regret it because I do believe it looks better than it did before, but it's definitely not perfect. From my perspective, I think it's slightly too big. And my left side of my jawline, I can see and feel where the implant begins, yet my right side I can't. Also, underneath is still tender when I touch it. The scar area. I'm told that will all still continue to change over a year. We shall see. I'll update every once and a while through out the year and let you know. Updated on 25 Dec 2016: Here are some before and after photos from the doctors office. These were taken at 8 weeks I think. I have become very satisfied with my results. Just waiting for the scar to completely flatten out, which will happen over time. It has gotten much smoother and flatter recently. So here's the front and both side profiles. Updated on 28 Jan 2017: It's been 4 months 1 week 5 days since my chin implant. I am now very satisfied with my results. Still applying scar away to my scar because at the beginning it had risen but it's now starting to flatten out more and more. I love having a chin! It really has boosted my confidence! Updated on 15 Feb 2017: It's been 5 months and everything's great! Still me, just with a nicer looking chin. Updated on 14 Mar 2017: Almost 6 months after and my lump of a scar is finally subsiding and it's looking better. It's looking flatter underneath. It is definitely true that your results will continue through out the corse of a whole year! Tho the surgery is quick and easy, the healing process is not so quick, but can be easy after the first month or so is over. All you need is patience. And the sooner you do it the sooner you'll have your fully formed beautiful chin. So if you're thinking about it, don't wait 10 years like I did! You only live once! Updated on 25 Mar 2017: Updated on 9 Apr 2017: Updated on 7 Aug 2017: One month short of a year since my implant. And one major thing I've learned is patience!!! Most people get chin implants and become insecure at first, it's too big, they don't like it, yada yada yada... I've seen some girls get there's removed before even 3 months of it!!!! Crazy waste of money!!! Don't be that person. Because it seriously takes a good year of recovery for our final results to settle in! After about 6 months for me I was starting to finally really like it, the swelling went down finally and it kinda formed with my face and became me. It DOES take a year for you to see your final results. Trust me!! If you're one of the lucky ones who likes it right away, it will only be looking better over that time span. Be patient people! Don't waste your money removing it until a good year is up! For me, it doesn't look like what I expected it to but I still love it and I'm thankful I did it because my chin was such a bothersome to me before and now I hold my bed up high and flaunt it! Thinking about small implants on the back of my jaw, where the neck meets, or maybe just some fillers to bring that part of the jaw out better. Updated on 4 Sep 2019: It’s been 3 years since my chin implant surgery and I can now say that I am satisfied with the out come. It took a long time to settle and for me to mentally adjust to the change but after looking at old pictures of myself, I am totally glad I did it. Updated on 15 Apr 2020: It’s been more like 3.5 years since my chin surgery. It’s a part of me. I have no regrets. Updated on 27 Jul 2020: Here is a photo of 2015 vs 2020. I got my chin September 2016 and it’s been almost 4 years. The first year is mentally challenging due to the long swelling period but I do not regret it and I would never take it out. I was referred to Dr. Scott Rotatori, By my mom she had a tummy tuck and breast implants back in 2008 and till this day my mom looks amazing, I have always wanted to do a tummy tuck after five kids my Stomach was terrible. I went to a couple of consultation here in Chicago but I was not convinced at all so My mom arranged for me to have my work done in Winter park Fl with Dr Rotatori. when I met with him he listen to what I was looking for he answered all my questions I was convinced he would do a great job and sure enough he did as the months went by I noticed that what I thought was swelling was not I had to pouches on my flanks and my skin was not right on the muscle of my stomach so I called the office and I was told to send photos of what I had explained to the dr I did so and he was so helpful he told me that I would need to come back to the office so he can fix those areas he did charge me$100.00 but let me tell you it was the best 100.00 I have spent in a long time I had an appointment for 4/20/16 and it was in his office the staff and the Dr. We're so helpful and caring and the best part is my results are amazing I am so happy with my results. I was tired of hearing "you look so tired" ...I hated using expensive makeup that didn't work. I was PETRIFIED to have this surgery until the consultation with Dr. Rotitori who turned my fear into excitement to " get it done". I followed instructions & healed in 4 days. I'm so pleased with him and his caring staff that My mini facelift is scheduled for January! I will post before and after pics when everything is healed. Thank you so much for bringing my inner beauty to the surface and renewing my confidence. Updated on 16 Nov 2015: The differences were fast appearing by day 4, three days prior to removing my stitches! I couldn't believe the transformation happening before my eyes that I could clearly see along with my friends and colleagues. I slept in a recliner for the first 3 days (my choice) with continuos ice packs on and off that helped prevent swelling. My bruising and my ugly bags are gone by day 4 as you can see in the picture. I kept using a lot of pillows to keep my head semi elevated once I went back to sleeping in my bed on day 5( it helped the healing process) until day 7 when the stitches were removed. Words cannot express my gratitude for the numerous compliments I get as a result of the fabulous care and compassion I received from Dr. Rotitori and his staff. My only regret is not trusting him SOONER! I can hardly wait to post results from my mini facelift scheduled for January . To be continued.........
