It’s only been one day since my procedure and I am in love. Dr. Viñas is truly an artist. So far the recovery has been great and I can’t wait for the final results. I am so happy I found him. Thank you for giving me my confidence back !

I decided to move forward with this surgery after my college roommate had a mini facelift with Dr. Vinas. I love how natural his work is as well as his kind demeanor. My procedure was in office with local anesthesia. I was happy to avoid general anesthesia and potential side effects from that. I consulted with a total of 8 surgeons-- all said I should do the upper bleph, however, some said I didn't need surgery for neck/jawline and should do radio frequency type procedures for those areas, another said I needed a full facelift with hospital stay. I felt comfortable with Dr. Vinas' approach of the the mini lift, lateral brow, upper and lower bleph. I'm very happy with my results which is why I wanted to post a review. I used this site a lot for research so hope this helps others. I'm 52 and have done filler and Botox and lasers etc since I was 39. It just got to the point where I felt ready to move to the next level. All this being said, it was still a very intense experience--I've never had a surgery before-- but I'm happy I did it and very happy I went with Dr. Vinas. I’m now 53 and definitely look better than I did 10 years ago. I have kept up with Botox, fillers, skincare, sunscreen as well. If you zoom in, of course I still have wrinkles, etc. This doesn’t make you look 20 years old, but it does make you look younger. Highly recommend Dr. Luis Vinas. Updated on 10 May 2025: Update 3 1/2 years later. I do keep up with Botox, filler, IPL and skincare. I’m happy I did it. Show my scars near my ears. They don’t bother me because normally hidden but I do go out with hair up.

My experience with Dr Vi?as began 2 decades ago when he removed melanoma from my body with a great result as far as the result and scarring. I’ve trusted him ever since and have friends to whom I have referred him even willing to come in from out of state to use him. More recently he repaired my broken nose, deviated septum and performed a V Lift. I am very pleased with the results. His staff are very kind from back of house (Demeris)to front of house especially Teena whom I think everyone is blessed to have in this office. He will always be my go to.

My procedures were done about 14 months ago so my body has healed and everything is settled into how it's going to look. During the healing process, my body changed almost on the daily at first, then it started settling in. I had a tummy tuck with flank lipo and a breast reduction w/ lift. Dr Vinas and all of the staff in his office were absolutely wonderful. They answered every question, told me what to expect and how to deal with it. My results are wonderful and better than I could have imagined. The only cons - and they aren't deal breakers for me - nipple sensitivity is a tiny bit less than it used to be and different in each breast. It may have been different prior to surgery but it wasn't as noticeable as it is now - again tho, not a huge difference from pre surgery and not a deal breaker. My girls were reduced and lifted - that's alot of trauma and I feel like they came out basically unscathed. Numbness on my tummy - it's been 14 months and I still have a bit of numbness just under my belly button. It's to be expected though, a large chunk of skin and the associated nerve endings were removed. Neither of these two things would have changed my mind about getting these procedures done. My scars are almost indistinguishable on my breasts for sure and the tummy may take a little longer but so far, from the ends in towards the center of the incision, they're fading more and more. My body looks amazing!! I'd lost about 70 lbs prior to getting this done and no matter how many crunches or planks I did, that extra skin wasn't going anywhere. Dr Vinas gave me the flat tummy I'd been working so hard for and couldn't attain, he also gave me my waist back. My breasts look better than they did in my 20's. Clothes fit better now and look better on me - everything is proportionate. I'm so happy with the procedures I had done and happy with my doctor.

Started as 34 A, 5'7, 130lbs. Wanted as natural of a look as possible. Loving it so far. I'm more conservative and freak out with change so I'm glad I started smaller. May increase size in the future.

Dr. Vinas is a board certified plastic surgeon, and also an artist when it comes to achieving natural-looking results with the human body. I had a mini V lift and lateral eyebrow lift with only local anesthesia one week ago today, and the experience was much better than I had expected-comfortable and painless (after the numbing shot). The results are already amazing. Dr. Vinas and his staff are caring and attentive, and answer all questions thoroughly. My stitches come out tomorrow and I'm extremely happy with the way I look. Any future tweaks, such as botox or filler (which will definitely be with Dr. Vinas) should keep me looking my best through my 80's. By the way, I am 63 years old.

I see that Dr. Viñas doesn't have a lot of Journey reviews on Real Self, so I thought it'd be nice to document my journey. I'm 5'8 and jump between 212-226 pounds. 25 years old. I have my surgery scheduled on 8/12/19, I'm currently a 38DDD. I'll be doing a lollipop reduction. Updated on 13 Aug 2019: 1 day post op! I’m just leaving the doctors office. Virtually no pain, just a little soreness around the incision. I’m able to walk around normal, eat normal, etc. However, I’m still very tired from the anesthesia, so I have been taking frequent naps. He gave me the OK to shower and right now I was instructed to just put the prescribed ointment on my nipple area twice a day. I have an appointment for next for another post-op appointment. Let me know in the comments any questions or concerns. Updated on 15 Aug 2019: Nothing eventful yet. I’m anxious to see the final results. It’s so weird not having large breasts anymore. I’m very surprised about how quickly I’m recovering! The next day after surgery I went to get my eyes done, went to Ross, went to my post op. However, I haven’t driven anywhere, I’m waiting a week to make sure everything runs smoothly. Updated on 3 Sep 2019: 3 weeks post op! I was instructed to begin massaging my breasts and applying scar gel to the incisions. Updated on 21 Oct 2019: Updated on 10 Jun 2020: Hey y’all! This is my 10 month update on my breast reduction. As far as my results, I am truly pleased! However, I developed hypertrophic scars on the incision :(. I’m going to do silicone sheets or some type of professional scar removal. I’m a little self conscious about them. Nonetheless, I haven’t worn a bra in months! Updated on 18 Dec 2020: The scars are slightly lighter and less raised, when I get my insurance back I will need to see a dermatologist to get these scars fixed! Overall I like my results Updated on 19 Jan 2023: Photos to come soon! After 3.5 years my nipple feelings have not returned...never to return. I do wish I knew about the risks associated with losing all feeling. It gets me down sometimes when I think about it but there's nothing I can do :(. Please take that into consideration before going through with the surgery.

Dr Vinas is absolutely amazing. I was 300 pounds and got down to 175, got pregnant with my 3rd son and went to 199. When I met with Dr Vinas initially it was for skin removal of my arms which turned into a consultation per my request of “what else can you do?!?” He said he could get rid of my excess skin, FINALLY a literally physical and mental weight taken off of me. I met him on a Thursday and he said he could do it Monday! Having 3 babies 3 and under I got all my ducks in a row and set forth with the most life changing surgery. 10 pounds of skin removed with my extended abdominalplasty with muscle repair, skin removal and lipo of my flanks and lipo of my upper back (wings). I’m a bubbly, out there, no filter kind of girl (I’m only 26) and in pre-op I said to Dr Vinas “are you excited dr Vinas” and he smiled ear to ear “of course I am, I love what I do” The next morning as I sat in a chair ready to see my body for the first time he walks in and I said “let’s see your work, are you ready” and he smiled and said “I’m always ready”. He has the kindest light hearted personality that is exactly what I needed going through this. Even when I called a million times over silly things like can I shave, or can I have a mudslide on my birthday his office staff and even himself are just laughing and loving towards me. I can’t say I’ve had any pain at all. My right drain did fall out a little early so I had to have fluid pulled once but I didn’t feel anything at all, not even the pressure. And when he had to pull out my left drain tube I was standing there crying looking at the ceiling saying “just do it and don’t tell me!” And he’s chuckling and my mom was cracking up laughing and Dr Vinas says “hold here” and I say “oooo no I’m not helping you pull it out” and he says “hold here” and I’m still looking up I reach down and it’s gauze!! He had pulled it out the second I looked up and started crying. Didn’t feel a thing and he was just the right amount of funny to make this whole experience amazing! I’m 5 weeks post op and went from 199 pounds, had 10 pounds of skin removed and now I’m 185 pounds. I’ve already got my quote for my rhinoplasty with him. I won’t be trusting anyone else with my body. Updated on 23 May 2019: I am 6 1/2 weeks post op, I’m down over almost 15 pounds, I look and feel great. I’ve returned to working out, went back to nursing school, am taking care of my boys (3, 2 and 5 months) all on my own again and resumed sexual activity too! I am forever grateful to Dr Vinas, I can’t wait to use him again in the near future!!

I'm almost 52 and 16 years post op gastric bypass. My skin removal started in 2004.i had fillers in 2015 and they were great but the time had come for a lift. My surgery is scheduled for May 9th. I had the best experience ever! Best anesthesia, no nausea. So far no pain. It's only been 3 hours after surgery and I feel amazing. Definitely chose the right doctor. Updated on 10 May 2019: A little sore and swollen Updated on 10 May 2019: Rough day today Very swollen neck and under chin hurts. Hope tomorrow is better. Updated on 12 May 2019: More bruising showing and a-symetry. I am very swollen and have incredible tightness under my chin. The best way I can describe what I feel in my neck, is that I feel like I am being choked or strangled. If you are claustrophobic this procedure isn’t for u! Updated on 13 May 2019: Not much to review, just bruises are turning yellow. Still feel swollen and tight.I find it very hard to sleep without waking up every 2-3 hours. Updated on 14 May 2019: Still very swollen and tight neck and face. In the cheek are where I had most of the day transfer I feel like I look alien like.. I'm sure it will go down. Updated on 15 May 2019: Swelling still an issue. At night it's the worst as to be expected. Sleeping is still broken up..off to work! Updated on 16 May 2019: Now that I got the swelling under control with the prednisones my face feels so much better. Updated on 18 May 2019: Front stitches out. Still swollen but so much. Out on our 33rd anniversary dinner..I go back next Friday for the behind the ear and inside hairline behind ear stitch removal. Still feel tight on chin and neck but not terrible like it has been the first 5 days. Updated on 20 May 2019: Still swollen under and in back of neck in the gland area. Suture lines healing well. Updated on 25 May 2019: Everyday my face is looking less swollen. It's gonna take some for all the swelling to completely resolve. I included front and back of ear pics. Most of my swelling is on my left side that's why the back of the left ear is healing more slowly. Updated on 13 Jun 2019: Today is exactly 5 weeks since I’ve had my surgery I am working on my scars with vitamin E cream and silicone cream. I still have some swelling under my chin and I expect that to be resolved in the next few months hopefully. Updated on 28 Apr 2021: I had some scarring around one ear so Dr.Vinas went in under local o repair. At this time he did both sides cause my face had some drooping around the jaw line. I also had a lateral brow lift at the same time to correct my uneven brows.

Amazing experience! From the initial consolation Dr. Vinas was very thorough and attentive. He answered all the questions I had, measured me and made helpful recommendations . Surgery went good, no major pain. I’m very impressed with the after surgery care. Dr Vinas saw me very often and make sure my recovery and scarring are going well. Dr Vinas bed side manner is impeccable, he’s professional and a very good surgeon! I had liposuction, mini tummytuck, change of older implants and a breast lift and I must say I’m very happy. Dr Vinas stuff are great , Jane at the front desk is helpful and polite ! Jessica the NP and Dr assistant helped a lot with all my questions about the compression garment, the right bra etc... so did Lana.Thank you dr Vinas and stuff for a positive great experience !
