It’s the day before my scheduled BA surgery with nipple inversion correction and I’ve chosen to go with Allergan Natrelle Soft Touch implants in a Moderate profile. I am going for a more natural appearance, with some extra fluff in my upper pole. I run and work out a lot and don’t want them to be too cumbersome. When i went for my pre-op appointment, I still thought the sizes I picked looked big, but my surgeon said that if I thought they were big with them in my bra, then they’ll likely be the perfect size, as they’ll look smaller once they’re under the muscle.
These are my measurements and details:
5’6”
135 lbs
Athletic build
Small 34C in VS bras
BWD 13.5
SSM-360 on left
SSM-375 on right
IMF incision
Under the muscle

Today was surgery day! I was the first surgery of the morning, so I was in and out, bright and early. Post-op was a little difficult to breathe with all the wraps and the fact that the implants were under the muscle. I was so thirsty in recovery that I thought I could drink 2 cups of water, but they wound up making me quiet nauseous. The nurse administered Zofran in my IV and I felt instantly better. A word to the wise... let your anesthesiologists know if you typically get nauseous post-op. They have things to help you! I was pretty sleepy all day. I purchased these foam wedges from Amazon to help me sleep on my back at a 45° angle (I’m a side sleeper, so I needed all the help I could get). They’re worth every cent! Highly recommend! I was sent home with muscle relaxers, which have helped a tremendously with the muscle spasms in my chest. Having a good “nurse” or helper has been imperative, to help lift off the couch without using my arms (I feel like a little t-Rex). All things considered, I’ve been fairly comfortable all day, due to maintaining my medication schedule to a T. Even if you think you don’t need the meds, TAKE THEM. The Oxycodone for pain, the Valium for the muscle spasms, antibiotic to fight any infection, and the anti-inflammatories to keep swelling down so you can heal properly are all imperative to recovery! I started taking Miralax, just to get ahead of the constipation from the Oxycodone. Both my surgeon and PA were complimentary on the feel and look of these implants and how natural they look in my breasts, which is exactly what i was going for. I didn’t want them too big, as I workout a lot and I’m a runner.
I wound up with the following:
Allergan Natrelle Soft Touch Moderate Profile Silicone Implants
SSM-360 in the left breast
SSM-375 in the right breast
Bilateral inverted nipple correction
IMF incision
Subpectoral
So far, so good! Post-op appointment is on Thursday, more updates then!

This was a picture from surgery today, before all the swelling kicked in. So far, I’m happy!

Post-op day 2 and still feeling pretty comfortable. I have next to no pain, likely due to how I’ve staggered my pain meds. But my sleep patterns are all thrown off due to having to wake up consistently throughout the night to medicate.
I had my post-op appointment with Dr. Castiglione today. My boobs looked like Frankenboobs when the bandages were taken off, but I expected that. My left breast is dropping faster than my right, too. I still think they look kind of big on my body, but that’s a good thing because it means they’ll be the perfect size when they’re healed and the swelling is down. I purchased an RxBra that i saw on Instagram and Dr. C really liked it). It’s super comfortable and I highly recommend (pic included)! It’s a little on the expensive side at around $79, but i found it to be worth the money.
Dr. C instructed more rest on the couch, telling me i need to take it easy, in spite of how good and painless i feel. And now I’m free to shower! I have another follow up appointment in a week, so more pics to come then!

It doesn’t even feel like I had surgery, I have such minimal discomfort. I’m taking it easy, not using my arms a whole lot for anything. I have Frankenboobs, which was to be expected. My left breast is dropping faster than my right. The bruises are starting to develop. But all of this is normal. I’m not worried. It’s a waiting game now. Patience is a virtue!

It’s been almost a week since surgery and I’m till pretty comfortable. Some nerve regeneration pain is starting to kick in in my incisions and nipples. I’m staggering Tylenol and Naproxen with Valium for the muscle spasms. My breast is dropping much faster than my right breast. I have to keep reminding myself that I’m still only 6 days out from surgery and i still have soooo much more time to go before I’m healed and everything has settled into place. I haven’t started massages yet. My 9 day post-op appointment is this week, so I’m going to ask my PS what he thinks about the asymmetrical dropping. Bruising is kicking in and starting to drain south. The swelling is starting to subside, too. I feel so bloated and uncomfortable, even with taking the Miralax once to twice daily. I’ve started taking fiber pills to see if that helps things along, but I’m done with my Oxycodone, too, so that will also help. Looking forward to that right breast dropping and also not having to wake up 2-3 times a night for medications.
