Hi there,
I think 1mL is a very reasonable place to start with your lips. Depending on the product used and your overall goals, you may very well need more. But I'd agree with starting with 1mL, give it two weeks to settle, and then re-evaluate and decide if you want more. Best of luck!

Unfortunately you're in a tough situation. I would recommend trying lip filler (hyaluronic acid) to try to camouflage some of the irregularities. Otherwise, direct excision of the fat irregularities could be an option, though the results are never totally ideal. Wish you the best of luck and really hope this gets resolved for you.

Thanks so much for your question and photo! First point to make is that nobody’s face is perfectly symmetric, so the goal should never be “perfection”. The second challenge is that some asymmetries (e.g. upon smiling) are difficult to correct because we can’t affect muscle pull. Plus what looks good at rest might not look good upon animation (and vice versa). However, in most cases, we can make big strides towards improving symmetry with judicious use of fillers and Botox. My advice would be to book a consultation with a surgeon who can evaluate your face, and determine if any further examinations are required, and what is the optimal treatment to give you the best result possible. Hope that helps. Best of luck!

I think it is impossible to do a quality surgical rhinoplasty in 15 minutes. I would bet that what you were being told about is a non-surgical (aka liquid) rhinoplasty. This is done with fillers, can hide a bump (sometimes to the point that it looks like a surgical result), and can easily be done in 15 minutes. There are pros and cons to nonsurgical vs. surgical rhinoplasty, and not every patient is a candidate. My advice would be to seek out a consultation with a rhinoplasty surgeon who has experience in both surgical and nonsurgical rhinoplasty so you can get the best advice on what’s ideal for your nose. Hope that helps!

Hello from Toronto! I would agree with some of the other respondents that it’s tough to tell from photos alone and an in-person examination would be important to determine exactly what would be in your best interest. Certainly there are no major abnormalities according to your photos, but small refinements when done well can make significant changes in the appearance of the nose and overall facial harmony. I would suggest seeking out a few consultations with experienced rhinoplasty surgeons before making your decision. Best of luck!

Hello from Toronto! From a medical standpoint, absolutely this is something that can be done, to combine an FUE hair transplant procedure with a chin implant on the same day in order to have just one recovery period. Logistically, this is something that we can certainly achieve--it's just a matter of sitting down to figure out the dates and scheduling that work for everyone involved. Feel free to contact my office to book a consultation, and we can take it from there.

Thank you for your question and for providing your photos. Certainly there are some issues that could be improved, based on your photos. The fact that your septum wasn't previously harvested is very much to your advantage (if indeed it was left untouched). You will want to get a copy of your operative report to confirm this. I would agree that a revision open septorhinoplasty with possible ear cartilage would be the way to go. I would only suggest rib if the septum was in fact harvested already. Temporalis fascia is helpful if you have very thin skin, so that likely also will be worthwhile. An in-person physical examination would be required to provide a definitive plan. Hope that's of some help. Best wishes!

Thanks for your question.
At this point, it’s too early to say and I certainly wouldn’t be concerned. Swelling will continue to subside and you’ll get a better sense of the final result as time goes on; by 6 months you’ll have a very good idea. In the tip, with thick skin it can take even longer to see the final results. I would make sure you have regular followup with your surgeon in case he/she thinks you might benefit from Kenalog injections at any point. Best of luck!

Thanks for your question. You would be an excellent candidate for injectable filler both to th nose (liquid rhinoplasty) and chin. It’s always best to make these determinations in person, but based on your photos I think you’d also be an excellent candidate for surgical treatment (rhinoplasty and chin implant). My best suggestion would be to book a consultation at our office so we can review your surgical and non surgical options with you. But if it’s primarily non-surgical that you’re interested in at this time, I would expect a range of $1500-$2250 to treat both nose and chin. Fillers in these areas typically last 12 months. Hope that helps! Check out our website and Insta page for examples of results.

I got a rhinoplasty 1 week ago with Dr. Alexander. I am now 1 week post op and I am already in love with my results! Dr. Alexander and his team are the sweetest people ever, I am so glad I found him to do this surgery for me. The consultation process was very easy, and the interaction with Dr. Alexander was amazing, he sat down with me we talked and he answered every question I had, he listened to what I wanted and did exactly that if not better! Dr. Alexander and his team really prepared me for the surgery and the whole care process after, I followed everything exactly how they explained and the healing journey was so easy and so smooth, I had no problems at all. I am so happy and I cannot thank Dr. Alexander enough! :)
I had rhinoplasty with Dr. Ashlin Alexander 7.5 months ago, and the experience exceeded all expectations. I researched surgeons for years and chose Dr. Alexander because of his natural, balanced work and patient-focused approach. He did have less pictures/references out there on social media in comparison to other doctors but don't let that deter you because his priority is on the work, not social media. He is one of the best doctors in the city in terms of personalization and maintaining the integrity of a face, and he gets the vision right away. I had a long list of specific requests—I wanted to preserve the essence of my nose while still making major refinements and he somehow managed to do it all. The result is so natural that most people don’t even realize I’ve had surgery. His attention to detail is unmatched, and he listened to everything I said, even though I was impossibly specific. I had barely any swelling, and my nose looked great right away (which is not a bad thing despite what people say); my nose stayed the same just got less swollen and more refined and I loved it from the first day. His staff was kind, responsive, and made me feel completely supported. If you're looking for a surgeon who combines artistry, precision, and true care, you’ll find all of that with Dr. Alexander and his team. I’m beyond happy I chose him!
For many years I've had difficulty breathing through my nose along with some appearance related issues. As a result I developed chronic insomnia which negatively affected my life. Since I had been advised that surgery should be a last resort, I tried all sorts of things which actually made the problem worse--eg sleeping more upright to improve breathing caused a neck injury and sciatica. I finally decided to see Dr Alexander to correct the breathing issues and improve the general appearance of my nose. It's now 3 months post op and I'm very glad to have taken this step. I have had a very natural looking functional rhinoplasty and I can now breathe at night. I still have allergies but the allergy meds now work where they weren't working before. I don't wake up at night unable to breathe! Grateful to Dr. Alexander for the improvements and happy that I did take this step.
Dr. Ashlin Alexander is a fantastic rhinoplasty surgeon. I travelled from out of province to have Dr. Ashlin Alexander perform my rhinoplasty. I had a large dorsal hump and a deviated septum (I have an ethnic nose with thick skin). It’s been approximately a year later, my bridge is straight (there is the tiniest bump at the top of the nose but it’s barely noticeable - it’s swelling that’s continuously getting smaller and smaller) and there is no hump. I am extremely thrilled with these results and my new nose has exceeded my expectations of what a rhinoplasty could offer. My profile (forward and side), I think, looks so much better but I still look like myself. I choose Dr. Alexander because he made it clear what he did and did not think was appropriate for my nose - for example, he didn’t feel comfortable giving my a scooped nose bridge as it wouldn’t be proportionate/symmetrical with my face. He was realistic and honest about what changes would and wouldn’t work with my face, and I appreciated that realism. I really appreciated the environment Dr. Alexander and his team provided me from sending the first email to getting the rhinoplasty procedure. Claire (practice manager) is extremely responsive and provides with all the information you need. Since I was out of province, the team was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Alexander before the actual surgery. I was late (I missed the VIA train :( unfortunately) and Dr. Alexander was still able to meet me at a later time that day. Both his team and Dr. Alexander made sure to prioritize my comfort and anxiety! On the day of the surgery, the staff at the clinic went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and cared for, and even offered my parent directions on where to park to pick me up once the surgery was over! The office was well decorated, clean, and extremely professional. I was extremely panicked about going under anesthesia, but the atmosphere and the care the staff provided mediated that fear. I have enjoyed this experience - Dr. Alexander’s presence helped alleviate my anxiety about getting a rhinoplasty, he understands how to work with different skin/ethnicities, and was really personable (he remembered that I had moved and asked me about how I was liking my new home). I would highly recommend!
Okay wow, I wasn't going to leave a review until my hair grew in more, but I'm so impressed with the results at 5 months already! I'm a transgender woman who had some very noticeable dips in my hairline. If I tied my hair back, my hairline looked extremely masculine. I was taken care of by Dr. Alexander, Linda, Sandy, and Clair. As a trans person, I was treated no differently than I'd expect a cis person to be treated. Everybody was very respectful, friendly, and a delight to be around. I had FUT with a medium donor area. In all, the whole thing cost me something in the neighbourhood of $12k. The procedure took about 11 hours in total. Hope you've got some wireless earbuds and an audiobook or something. Though they do have a TV with Netflix and whatnot if you get bored. (Pro tip: use 1 earbud at a time, so when your battery dies on one, you can swap out to the other.) I'll be honest: Recovery was rough. Having to sleep on your back with stitches in the back of your head is extremely difficult (not to mention I'm a side sleeper), and while you're recommended to maybe miss just a few days of work, I was really not feeling great after waking up like 6 times a night to try to adjust my head position. Had I known, I'd probably have taken more time off work to recover. Once the stitches were out and I was cleared for sleeping on my side again (10 days), I was immediately able to sleep much better. They will give you a little inflatable neck pillow, but I'd highly recommend just buying a real one, because it's not very comfortable. (Also, apparently if you sleep with your head tilted backward due to the neck pillow, it might make you snore quite loudly, so let this be a warning to you.) I think that's about all I have to say at the moment. Thank you all so much for my renewed hairline!
I was a patient of Dr. Alexander's at Toronto Hair Transplant Surgeons in the summer of 2024 for both beard and eyebrow transplant to fill in these areas. I didn't know what to expect, as I wasn't going for a hair transplant on my head, but Dr. Alexander is very skilled in these transplants as well! From consultation to post-surgery, I had a very positive experience. You really feel heard and taken care of with everyone on the team from Dr. Alexander himself, to Linda, Sandy, Clair, and the rest of the team there! I highly recommend Dr. Alexander at Toronto Hair Transplant Surgeons. Even if you aren't sure or are hesitant, it's worth the consultation to get all your questions answered and your concerns heard and go from there. You don't feel rushed. You feel heard!
I recently had a rhinoplasty procedure at FACE in Toronto with Dr. Ashlin Alexander, and I am absolutely thrilled with the entire experience from start to finish. Dr. Alexander is not only a highly skilled and talented surgeon, but also one of the most genuine, caring, and thoughtful professionals I’ve ever met. From the initial consultation, he took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and goals, and made me feel completely at ease. Even though he's a top medical professional, our conversations never felt clinical or robotic—it felt like I was talking to a close friend, which made the whole process so much more comfortable and reassuring. His attention to detail and deep understanding of facial aesthetics gave me full confidence in his approach—and the results have exceeded my expectations. I’m beyond happy with how natural and refined everything looks. The staff at FACE were equally incredible. Communication was prompt, professional, and thorough every step of the way—from booking appointments to answering pre- and post-operative questions via email. A special thank you to the recovery nurse, who was so warm and attentive. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Alexander and the FACE clinic to anyone considering rhinoplasty. Truly an exceptional experience!
Dr. Alexander and the entire team were absolutely AMAZING! I had concerns getting hair restoration, but after 6 months I can say I am over the top happy! The result at 6 months is crazy and I have already had 2 hair cuts! This location and this team is the very best at what they do! and they do what they say they will do! Give you your own hair BACK!
Dr. Ashlin Alexander, Linda, Sandy, Clair, and the rest of the team were very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I loved how all the instructions provided as well as the answers to all my questions were clear and thorough. The overall service on the surgery day was awesome as they will treat you like a VIP. I'd highly recommend this place to all those looking to get a hair transplant.
I had my first hair transplant in April 2024 and going into it i was very nervous as i did not know what to expect and never had this type of surgery before. Dr. Alexander, Linda, Sandy, Clair and the rest of the team very friendly, supportive and helped me get through the entire process smoothly. I had 1500 grafts implanted in my frontal area and 12 months later i am pleased with the results and i am considering doing a second hair transplant in the near future. Initially i was looking at other clinics and the Toronto Hair Transplant Surgeons had many positive reviews and I immediately knew this clinic was the right one. Dr. Alexander did an in person consultation with me before the surgery and was very comforting, honest, patient and knowledgeable. Dr. Alexander told me that 1500 grafts was fit for me based on my donor area and it worked out perfectly. The recovery process was very smooth and did not feel any pain or any reactions. I would definitely recommend anyone considering a hair transplant to get one at the Toronto Hair Transplant Surgeons. Thanks to the entire team!
