2 weeks to go until my surgery..starting to freak out a little! I've been thinking about doing this for over two years now and have finally decided to go ahead with it. I appreciate all of the posts on here as I've read SO many and it has helped me make a more informed decision. I'm choosing saline and a smaller size in hopes of having less complications..not saying that bigger or gel is worse but it just makes me feel better about it overall as safety has been my biggest reason for hesitation. I've had 3 consults and one of the doctors told me that I'd likely get the lymphoma and die in 10 years!! That surely scared me away for the past year however I've continued to do research and have made my decision to pursue bigger breasts. I'm scheduled to have thanksgiving dinner with my family 3 days post-op though and am wondering if anyone reading this who's already been through it thinks I'll be up and moving enough by then to attend this family event? (I'm not planning on telling anyone on this side of the family so would need to be walking and moving about normally). Updated on 28 Sep 2017: Less than a week away now and I've been freaking out..wondering if this is the right decision after reading about so many issues and explants. I'm even having bad dreams and waking up then not being able to fall back asleep. I think my major worry is knowing that I will need at least one more surgery down the road either to remove them eventually or to replace them. I hope I've made the right decision to go through with this, too late to back out now as I've already paid! Updated on 4 Oct 2017: It's actually done now, can't believe it! I ended up with 275cc in right and 255cc in left to keep them even. Pain not too bad today but I've been taking meds. I'm happy but can't wait until they drop to actually see how they'll look as I'm already thinking I could've went a bit bigger. Updated on 8 Oct 2017: Pain is getting better, have been moving around more and they are looking better too. My back has been hurting though! Hope this isn't a new symptom of having bigger boobs... Updated on 10 Oct 2017: Since last night I noticed the skin around half of my boons is red and very warm. Went for post-op today and he prescribed me antibiotics and said to come back in a week. He didn't say it was an infection for sure but said it was "weird" as the incisions looked good. I'm worried now! I drew circles to map where the redness ends to see if it gets any bigger or smaller. My back hurts and the nipples area has a slight burning feeling inside. Updated on 9 Nov 2017: The infection clears after the antibiotics and I haven't had any further issues. I just had my first Pilates class this week and it went okay though I'm not able to raise my arms over my head just yet. I've had lots of aching/burning/various pains in my boobs over the past month which have been manageable without meds and my doctor said it is normal. I am happy with the size although I think I'd have went bigger (300cc). And they feel quite hard and I'm not sure if that's a result of choosing saline or if they're still settling in.
