2 weeks to go until my surgery..starting to freak out a little! I've been thinking about doing this for over two years now and have finally decided to go ahead with it. I appreciate all of the posts on here as I've read SO many and it has helped me make a more informed decision.
I'm choosing saline and a smaller size in hopes of having less complications..not saying that bigger or gel is worse but it just makes me feel better about it overall as safety has been my biggest reason for hesitation.
I've had 3 consults and one of the doctors told me that I'd likely get the lymphoma and die in 10 years!! That surely scared me away for the past year however I've continued to do research and have made my decision to pursue bigger breasts.
I'm scheduled to have thanksgiving dinner with my family 3 days post-op though and am wondering if anyone reading this who's already been through it thinks I'll be up and moving enough by then to attend this family event? (I'm not planning on telling anyone on this side of the family so would need to be walking and moving about normally).

Looking forward to seeing your results. We have the same stats and I was considering the exact same implant size and profile. Good luck!

Hi, soooh exciting, nerves are all normal, this is an emotional as well as physical journey. We are all different and so u may feel fine after 3 days or not and it's hard to know. U can't shower easily so may find that bit hard but if u keep up the pain meds u may only just feel a bit tired. Good luck and I do hope u feel up to going :)

How did it go? I kinda of wish I went a bit bigger now and they still feel somewhat hard which I'm wondering is from choosing the saline..

Wait, I don't understand why the doctor said you'd get lymphoma?! :O

Me neither! Both docs I saw recommended gel for me and they mentioned a rare form of cancer linked to textured implants. But lymphoma?! What?

Yep! it's called: Breast Implant-Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL)

Doubts & Worries

Less than a week away now and I've been freaking out..wondering if this is the right decision after reading about so many issues and explants. I'm even having bad dreams and waking up then not being able to fall back asleep. I think my major worry is knowing that I will need at least one more surgery down the road either to remove them eventually or to replace them. I hope I've made the right decision to go through with this, too late to back out now as I've already paid!

It's actually done now, can't believe it! I ended up with 275cc in right and 255cc in left to keep them even. Pain not too bad today but I've been taking meds. I'm happy but can't wait until they drop to actually see how they'll look as I'm already thinking I could've went a bit bigger.
