Swelling at 4wks 3 Days Postop? - Santa Rosa, CA

Dr. McAvoy is an amazing doctor to work with.

51 and Look 41- Santa Rosa, CA

A gentleman whom you can trust. I never write reviews, however I have to this time. My experience is that he is an artist that takes pride in his work. He truly wants to do his very best. I believe that he probably treats everyone in the same manner. Dr.John McAvoy is someone you could call in the middle of night if you had a problem. Didn't need to do that as I had no problems however I would feel comfortable doing so. His wife works in the office and is very much a part of the caring, personal experience.

Great Experience. - Santa Rosa, CA

Dr. McAvoy has the best bedside manner I've ever come across. His many years as a surgeon make him a true artist in the plastic surgery field. I would highly recommend the doctor to my family and friends.

Ready to explant!

Hello ladies! I've been reading your stories for a very long time, and am ready to share mine. I had implants put in 05/2003. I was 18 years old, and had the mindset of just making them bigger. My Mom had implants, my Aunt has implants, so I thought I knew what I was getting myself into. Worst decision I've ever made for myself. Less than a year later I was diagnosed with Chronic Fibroadenoma...

Fantastic Surgeon - Santa Rosa, CA

How do you know when you picked the right surgeon? Is it at the consultation where the doctor isn't "selling" you the procedure you have come to find out about, but pragmatically presents the cons as well as the pros, takes a complete and extensive health history, and educates you in a clear, digestible, straight-forward, no sales BS and non-condesending manner? Is it after that when you on a gut level feel an incredible sense of confidence in his care, not just surgically but in your over-all treatment medically as a person in his care? Is it during surgery, where he has an experienced team, including an anesthesiologist, convened to care for and monitor you for your health, best results and safety? Where your doctor is immediately available to pick up the phone for any concerns, advice, medication changes needed and will see you over the weekend for follow up care? Is it after an amazing, natural result, with little to no perceptible surgical scars, and 5 of your friends and associates seek out his expertise in the immediate following months, and entrust themselves to his care? For me, it was all of the above that confirmed I had selected the right surgeon. This was when I knew I had selected not only an amazing surgeon, but over all health care professional, well educated and dedicated to medicine. He called me, saw me ASAP, communicated with my primary care MD ,treated me with wide coverage right away and followed me closely, making sure I knew I could call him over the weekend and he would see me and treat me in the surgical suite if needed. He saw me three times to make sure I was responding properly and healing.
