QUESTIONS ANSWERED

I Had Radiesse. I Was Left Disfigured. What to Do?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I would recommend calling your Physician's office and explaining your scenario, if you haven't already. Your Physician may provide you with a recommendation to balance the asymmetry or provide an additional treatment. If you call for help, then the office will also have a record of your concerns in the unlikely event that it does not subside. It's always a good idea to have documentation of your medical issues and concerns. Try to speak to your doctor who did the procedure and do not try any home remedies or products until you are advised to do so by that Physician.

Enlarged Pores Post Glycolic Peel?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Your pores may be temporarily enlarged after a glycolic peel. Without assessing your skin, it is difficult to determine is there's a problem or not, and give you a solution. If the issue continues, I would recommend calling a board certified dermatologist and get an appointment to have your skin checked. If necessary, your dermatologist can prescribe topical treatments or antibiotics. For now, I'd continue to rest your skin and give it time to heal. Sometimes less is more.

Which OTC Eye Drops Help Counter the Effect of a Drooping Eyelid Caused by Botox Treatment?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

A drooping eyelid caused by a Botox treatment can last 3-4 months and will subside on its own. I recommend talking to your Physician or provider that performed the treatment. There are no over-the-counter eye drops which will counter the effect.

Is there something I can do for my facial scar care?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I would recommend calling your Physician's office and explaining your scenario, if you haven't already. Your Physician may provide you with a different recommendation than originally given. If you call for help, then the office will also have a record of your scarring concern in the unlikely event that it does get worse. It's always a good idea to have documentation of your medical issues and concerns. Try to speak to your doctor who did the procedure and I agree that you should not put anything on it until you are advised to do so by that Physician.

Horrible Skin After Weight Loss at 24?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

When people lose weight, it is very common for them to lose fat everywhere, including the face. Fat loss in the face is also a contributing sign of aging. It can make the face look gaunt and sickly. To remedy this, you can have fat surgically transferred into the face, or a less-invasive option is to use fillers such as Sculptra and Radiesse.

Could rosacea be affecting the healing process?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to the adhesive on whatever bandage you used after the procedure. It was probably a circular bandaid. I would follow up immediately with the doctor that performed the procedure.

Is There a Non-surgical Tightening Treatment for the Skin on the Breasts?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Skin resurfacing, such as fractional CO2, can help improve skin texture and tone. This procedure can be performed on the chest with excellent results. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist for a skin resurfacing procedure, make sure that the doctor's office is accredited and licensed, ask the doctor about residency training in and experience with Lasers, and ask to see some before and after photos of patients whose skin is similar to yours.

Eyebrows Falling Out After Receiving Botox Between Eyebrows?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Unfortunately it is very difficult to assess your condition based on your description. I personally have never had a patient have a problem of eyebrows falling out after receiving Botox injections. If it persists, I recommend you contact your injector/physician immediately. I also recommend that patients only see Board Certified Dermatologists and make sure that the doctor's office is accredited and licensed.

Blinking Excessively Worse 5 Days After Botox? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I would consult with a Neurologist. I too have never seen this before and am not sure it is related to the botox treatment.

Which is Better for Firming and Tightening? Sculptra or Laser or Both?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Sculptra is an anti-aging facial injection treatment that can give you subtle results over time by replacing lost collagen. Lasers use light composed of many frequencies to penetrate into the skin, non-invasively, to deliver youthful results by stimulating your natural collagen production. Combination therapy is always preferred (laser + filler, ie Sculptra). Both will help give the appearance of tighter skin for areas that are loose and sagging. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist, make sure that the doctor's office is accredited and licensed, ask the doctor about residency training in and experience with Sculptra and Lasers, and ask to see some before and after photos of patients whose skin and wrinkles are similar to yours.
