Dr. Rajagopal and her team were amazing from start to finish. They never rushed or pressured me, and Dr. Rajagopal was warm, kind, and patient. I started with very minimal breast tissue and got 220cc low profile UTM. They're still healing but the results are even better than I hoped. So natural and beautiful, and my surgery and recovery was unbelievably smooth. I highly recommend Dr. Rajagopal to anyone considering BA. Updated on 28 Dec 2024: Almost healed! I am feeling more like myself every day and can't wait to get out of my surgical bra and back to the gym. Updating with a braless before and after photo! I had a hard time finding examples of small low profile implants so I hope this will be helpful to people looking for something similar.

I am 2 days post-op so still yet to see the final product but have been impressed by Dr. Rajagopal and her whole team from the first consult. They took the time to understand my goals and were patient with my difficulty deciding on size/profile. Surgery day was a breeze and I'm so excited to see how the implants drop in the coming weeks!

My experience with Dr. Rajagopal was life changing, and my experience was positive from consultation to follow up. I think my experience was exceptional in a few ways: 1) Dr. Raj is hugely experienced in this specific procedure, assured, and answered each question I had with a lot of patience. She’s a warm presence and understands how emotional this process can be. 2) The office has an all female staff that went above and beyond in warmth & responsiveness before, during, and after my surgery. 3) The surgery itself was surprisingly relaxed. You’re in for around 3 hours, prepped, awake for the procedure itself (I chatted with the team during), and then you’re sent home with detailed care instructions. 4) Healing from a surgery was quite smooth and as described in my consultation. 4-5 days of swelling and I was back to most normal activities, back to full activities in a month. 5) Results speak for themselves. I’m very happy with my results. I had a trim and once the swelling went down there was no scalloping, stitches dissolved within 1-2 weeks, and by week 3 I realized that my life was going to be different! I’m not constantly thinking about the area in the back of my mind all the time. Once the swelling fully goes down & the area settles I will likely feel my gait is ever so slightly different. I’m no longer uncomfortable all the time. Overall, I wish I had done this 10 years ago. I’m so pleased and highly recommend Dr. Raj and her wonderful team.

Hi everyone, I’m writing this review on 5/25/23 (1 day post-op). I wanted to document my BA journey because there aren’t enough reviews of people who get large over the muscle implants. Stats: 31 years old, 5’2”, ~155 lbs. I have small breasts and I’ve known I wanted to get a BA for a few years. I want to have nice full round breasts but I still want them to look somewhat natural. I definitely knew I did not want high profile implants. I did a lot of research on finding a good doctor. When I found Dr. Usha Rajagopal in San Francisco I knew right away that she was the doctor I wanted to go to for my BA. I had my consultation on March 31, 2023. I did a lot of research on doctors but I didn’t really research what size I wanted. I didn’t take any pictures of “dream boobs” either. When I went in for my consultation I first met with the receptionist and she and the rest of the staff were kind, polite, and courteous. Then I met with the Patient Care Coordinator, Amanda Graham. Amanda really took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. We went over different implant sizes and 3D imaging to get an idea of what size I would want and I tried on different implant simulators. Then I met with Dr. Rajagopal. Dr. Rajagopal really is the best, her bedside manner is amazing and she made me feel comfortable and safe. I described to her the look that I wanted “full but natural looking” and then she measured my breasts. I forgot the exact measurements but she told me that my breast pocket is too small to get the implant under the muscle, I have a wide breast gap, and she would have to relocate my breast folds because overall my breasts are too small. She suggested 505cc moderate plus profile over the muscle to get the breast look I want. I’ve always had a lot of lateral chest fat and armpit fat which has always been impossible to get rid of so Dr. Rajagopal also suggested lateral chest liposuction to make my upper body look more aesthetically appealing. I completely trust her judgement and expertise so I went with what she suggested. She showed me 3D scans and I was set. I booked my BA with later chest liposuction for 5/24/2023. Surgery: So yesterday was my surgery day. I was more excited than nervous. I checked in to the surgery center (located next door to her office, v convenient) at 8am. There was a nurse there to greet me and go over paperwork and everything with me and my sister who was going to provide my aftercare. Then I went into the actual prep surgery area and I changed into the gown and got my blood pressure taken and was given some pre surgery meds. Then the anesthesiologist came in and explained what he would be doing and put in my IV, he was really great and reassuring too! Finally Dr. Rajagopal came to meet with me. Y’all, when I say Dr. Rajagopal is the best I really do mean it. She made me feel comfortable and safe before surgery and helped calm any nerves I was feeling. She measured and drew out the implant positioning and liposuction areas and then we walked together to the operating room. I remember laying down on the operating bed and getting the monitors connected on me but then I was out. Surgery was over at about 1pm. Waking up and getting home was a blur. I was not in pain but I did feel a lot of pressure and some discomfort on my chest from the implants. I slept most of the day. 1 Day Post-Op: My entire upper body feels sore but it’s tolerable. I did have a bit of sharp pain in chest but I took pain medication and it is helping. I mostly feel pressure on my chest and soreness in liposuction areas. My nipples do hurt a bit but it’s not bad. The nurse called today to check in on how I was feeling and gave me recs to help with swelling and pain. My liposuction areas haven’t leaked so that’s good. I can shower tomorrow if I want to (2nd day post-op) since I have waterproof coverings on BA incision and liposuction sites. Meds: Keflex (antibiotic), Gabapentin (nerve pain blocker), Vicodin (for pain), Ondansetron (anti nausea) Updated on 28 May 2023: It’s Sunday 5/28/23. I’m 4 days post-op and I finally showered because I finally passed a bowel movement. My arms and chest are still sore but I’m guessing that’s how I’ll feel for the rest of the recovery but it feels better than before. I have a lot of bruising on my lateral chest and armpit areas where I had liposuction performed and the entire area is still very swollen. My shower was fine just couldn’t really wash my hair because I can’t raise my arms. I still have the waterproof coverings on my BA incision and liposuction sites so those stayed dry. Minimal bleeding on liposuction sites which is good and no visible blood through BA incision site gauze covering. Still taking meds and just relaxing. I return to work in 2 days, on Tuesday (desk job). I didn’t know that I would be constipated this entire time. I had not pooped since Tuesday, the day before surgery. The doctor’s instructions said to start taking miralax and colace 2 days before surgery and I did but then I didn’t poop until today. 5 days total without a bowel movement and I am very bloated because of it.

I came in recently for nose filler, had it before but for the first time with Dr Rajagopal. She also did my glabella which immediately after I wasn’t so sure about, but I should have trusted the process because once the swelling went down pretty quickly, I now absolutely love this look! It’s so subtle and she has such an amazing eye because it’s perfect. Also, I used to get more bruising and pain when I touch the area after, but there is barely any bruising or pain with Dr Rajagopal and no needle marks whatsoever.

I recently received my NSNJ and am already loving the benefits after day 2. I was self-conscious about my nose and side profiles, but I was too terrified to undergo surgery, so I chose this treatment for my forthcoming wedding. What I'll say is that I'm not sure why I didn't start this treatment sooner. With my side profile, I felt instantly more confident, and I will not be as concerned on my wedding day with professional shots. Dr. Ursha took into account my concerns about my nose, and I trusted her with the procedure, and I am so pleased i chose this practice to accomplish my new look :)

I whole heartedly recommend Dr Rajagopal as a gifted plastic surgeon. There are many plastic surgeons out there but few have the special "touch;" the ability to transform through careful, skillful art. Dr Rajagopal has significantly improved my self confidence, thus enriching my life. She is a caring, gentle surgeon and I am so glad I decided to put my trust in her abilities. She is beyond exceptional.

I had a breast augmentation with Dr. Usha Rajagopal seven weeks ago now and I am so happy with my entire experience! I have thought about getting this procedure since my teens and even found Dr. Rajagopal seven years ago and followed her work all that time before finally taking the plunge. You couldn't be in better hands, with her and her staff. Each of the nurses I talked to was kind, helpful, and informative. I felt comfortable with Dr. Rajagopal immediately upon meeting her; she knew exactly what my concerns were without me being able to fully articulate them. She gave expert advice and made me feel very welcome. The day of my procedure, my intake nurse (Nurse Angela who I learned has now moved) was so great! She made me feel very comfortable and really everyone that day introduced themselves and explained what to expect. The pain was not nearly as bad as I feared and switching my pain medication was very easy when needed. All follow-ups so far have been great and I would not hesitate to recommend her and her practice! My first thought after going through with my procedure was, I should've done this sooner! If you're on the fence (like I was for years!), just do it! You deserve to be happy in your body, thanks again Dr. Usha!!

After 6 years of planning, I've finally done it! I am extremely happy with how surgery went. We started at 7am and I was home in bed by 1045am. Feeling a lot of discomfort and it's 4am the next day and I just can't sleep. My husband has been the best caretaker. He has helped me with my meds, brought me food (BRAT diet) and helping me in the bathroom. No nausea at all and I've walked around the house a bit. Pain is about a 6, just feeling pressure and motion in my arms are minimal. I haven't taken a real peek at the "girls" but I am so pleased with what I have seen! Height: 5'9 Weight: 142 Pre Op bra size: 34a Implant and CC's: Sientra 415cc Procedure: Updated on 9 Oct 2021: Today is day 3 after having a BA. I was able to shower but felt nauseous. Hubby was quick to grab my Zofran and that definitely made things better. I finally took a peek at how my new self is healing. I know everything is swollen still, but I like where things are headed. My pain is just near the incision sights now, but has been managed with Tylenol and gabapentin. I was able to lift my arms above my head and even put my hair up. I'd say that's a win!
