I've had cervical headaches for 25+ years, started having worse neck, shoulder and upper back pain after a cervical fusion C5,6,7 so I asked my orthopedic Dr. if he thought it would help. He definitely agreed it would benefit me so I did it!! I was a 36DDD and I think I'll be a small C now. Happy! Updated on 10 Jul 2017: Just an update, had my 10 day PO today and Dr. says they're healing so well I don't need to be seen for a month!! I can start using Kelocote scar gel and massage in the shower. Have to wait until next week to float in the pool but I can go to the gym again to do treadmill and elliptical machine. I can't find ANY bra that's comfy so I went to VS to see if they had a non-underwire bra. She measured me and said I was 36D.....I think I'll wait until more swelling goes down because I hope that's not correct!! Updated on 20 Jul 2017: Swelling has decreased significantly and I love the size!! The bruising is taking forever to go away and my nipples are HYPER sensitive. Incisions are healing well, I'm using Kelo-cote scar gel. It's not cheap but it works great!! I tried the Scar-away silicone strips but it made my skin peel so I had to switch to the gel. I have very sensitive skin. Still not sure of the final size, I'm waiting 6 mos. to be measured. In the meantime I've included pics of 3 of my favorite bras. The nude one $12.99 at Target, the orange one from VS $15 on sale (online), the black one is THE nost comfy Burlington Coat Factory 2 for $9.99!! Updated on 27 Jul 2017: Most swelling gone, still have one bruised that's taking forever to go away...looks like I got punched in the boob lol I can sleep comfortably on my side now, still wearing a bra to sleep in though. I quit the scar gel temporarily, I can still feel a few of the dissolvable stitches slightly poking through the skin. I bought 4 new bathing suits and although I still wear a sz. 12 they look amazing, especially the halter ones!! Updated on 27 Aug 2017: They aren't as high and firm as the first month, most swelling is gone now. The scars are in the red stage...it will pass, still using kelocote scar gel. All shoulder and upper back pain is gone. Still having headaches and I see the pain MGMT. Dr. again next month. Right now I've gone from 36DD-DDD to 38B-36C. Still so happy I did it, I love the way clothes fit me now!!!
After almost 30 years with my original implants they had both ruptured. Having the original implants removed was more scary to me than have them put in. But Dr. Wandel did a great job and I am very pleased. I had very little discomfort, am very pleased with the results and I would hightly recommend Dr Wandel, her staff and the staff of San Juan Mercy Hospital.
25 Years ago, 360 silicone under the muscle; originally small A cup, after was full C which took years to settle in. Both mammory folds/pockets needed to be lowered to accommodate implant. Dr. wasn't successful on one side at lowering pocket so one side sat much higher and doctor wouldn't correct. Had to wait 7 years before I could afford another surgery with another doctor to correct it. Then 25 years later I had immense pain in breast nipple area in the middle of the night laying flat on my back for no reason. It felt like the implant was trying to jump out of my skin. It happened several times; I had to grab my breast and slowing roll over before it stopped. That took me into my doctor for a check up and they wouldn't do an MRI, cost wise, so they okay an ultra sound. That ultra sound determined the left breast had a rupture, this was the side that was redone 17 years ago. The right side, 25 years old, showed no sign of rupture. At 61 I decided it was time for them to go; hated them all my 25 years because I was a very private type; mother didn't know; daughter didn't know; only a friend or two in all those years. So, they were always too big, especially as I gained weight, and I've been hiding them forever. 25 years ago, I bought my self confidence; and it worked; I never felt inadequate again! I was confident. And again, it was for me, and no one else. So, now I was petrified to go through a surgery, but I kind of looked forward to not having to hide behind dark baggy clothing; I missed wearing white and fitted feminine clothing that I used to wear before the BA. So I set my surgery appointment with original doctor and meanwhile interviewed with several others to get other opinions as to whether a lift was needed. They all said I needed a lift due to the low level of my nipples. I stayed with my original doctor since she was in my health insurance group and offered the best service and the best rate. And it turned out she had 28 years of experience and that experience paid off. She was the best! To the tune of having no pain after a 4 hour surgery which took a little longer due to a mass hematoma she had to clean out and remove, plus the the lift. The only thing I felt was the bottom incisions which felt a little tight. But I only used the antibiotics and didn't need the pain medication at all. Dr. Wandel was amazing, I had gastric bypass 7years ago lost a total of 115lbs and had lots of loose skin. I went to see Dr Wandel after being recommended by my primary care provider. She looked at my stomach and seen a bright future. She was comforting and made me feel like there was hope. She was able to get my insurance to cover the surgery and i trusted her with my life. Surgery went well and I will continue to see her to get my hips taken care of, and in the future a breast lift. Updated on 15 Feb 2015: 3 days away from my second surgery,
8 years ago I lost 115 lbs, 1 1/2 years ago I had a tummy tuck and my hips done. Dr Wandel removed over 13 lbs of skin. (Insurance paid for it all except the tightening of the mussle) I love my new tummy, but have always hated my boobs. They have always been on the smaller size, but since the weight loss they sag, and I have skin on the side ( or side boobs) I just turned 40 and ready to fix it all. I will be having surgery on 2/18 I'm having laser Lipo on my back and flanks, a lift with augmentation, and the side boobs removed. I am not too worried about the scars, I have discussed it with my husband and he doesn't mind. So I'm ready to get these next few days over with, I'm taking a week off to start my doctor recommended two but said I should be find for my desk job. I will post pictures tomorrow.
Thank you for your question. You should try to get down to your "ideal" weight before having a tummy tuck. Look at this as an investment in yourself. You want to get the most out of that investment so losing the extra weight will help you get a better result from surgery. Your ideal weight is the weight that you feel healthy at and like the way you look in your clothes. As you lose weight you may have more loose skin on your abdomen and tummy tuck will get rid of this loose skingiving a flatter more attractive stomache. Once your weight is stable it will also be easier to determine what is the best option for your breasts. Good luck
This is a common concern after surgery on the breast that combines removal of tissue with placement of an implant. Your breasts may seem firmer because of swelling from surgery or the increase in volume created by the implant. The swelling from surgery will take up to 3 months to resolve. I would recommend following up with your surgeon to discuss techniques for treating the swelling after surgery and softening of your breasts.
Your photo does not show any of the classic findings of tuberous breast: constricted base width, pseudoherniatin of the breast tissue into the nippleaerolar area and short distance between the aerola and the inframmary fold (wherre your bra hits you). You have breasts which appear normal in shape and position on your chest and would be very amneable to enhancement if you choose to pursue this. The cost of this procedure is variable depending on where you live and what tpe of implant you choose, anesthesia and locatin of surgery. I would recommend you foind a board certified plastic surgeon in your area and consult with them. Good luck
From your photos you appear to have very little beast tissue and no sagging so with total su muscular or dual plane will orivide nice coverage for the implant. I would not recommend textured implants though as you would be at higher risk of visible wrinkling. I would discuss the risks and benefits of each implant type with your surgeon. Good luck
Forehead wrinkle are caused by the action of the underlying muscles. The muscle that causes forehead wrinkles also elevates your eyebrows . The muscle action can be lessened by the injection of Botox. The wrinkles can also be filled with injectable fillers. You may wish to have a plastic surgeon evaluate your eyelid and eye brow position prior to having the wrinkles treated. You may be elevation g your eyebrows to help open your eyes.
