I had an amazing experience with Dr. Lakshman and his staff recently having the mini BBL and Lipo 360 including moms pubis also known as #bootybylakshman I am completely satisfied with my results! My consultation was easy to schedule, my consultation was done by the actual doctor, and not an assistant. He took the time to answer. All of my questions thoroughly explained what my realistic results would be like and put my anxieties at ease. During my procedure. I was very comfortable only feeling mild discomfort, but would definitely recommend! Recovery time was minimal and all post procedural appointments were included. I felt very well cared for. Before this awake and office procedure I was skeptical about having a full on tummy tuck. However, Dr. Lakshman will be soon performing this next procedure for me and I am very excited to see my final results. The confidence that I have now is some thing I have never experienced. I am now able to show off my curves and wear leggings without being self-conscious, tying flannels around my waist or hiding under a large cardigan. Thank you so much!
Dr Lakshman and his staff are truly the Best! From the first consultation , I felt the trust and the professionalism of someone who had my best interest at heart. If I had to go through this medical procedure all over again, I would not change a thing! Beyond five stars! Carmen K
Fantastic!! I can't say enough about Dr. Lakshman. I just recently started thinking about getting a tummy tuck, but was scared and unsure. After my consultation with Dr. Lakshman I felt completely at ease and knew if I was to go forward with this procedure he would be the Dr I choose. The surgery was a complete success, I have not felt pain at all, was only on pain medicine for 4 days. I am so Happy with my results and its only been 2 weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Lakshman. This is the best you can give yourself.
My expectations are not very high. I expect everything to go all and heal terrifically. I just want the volume back that I lost due to pregnancy and breastfeeding. I expect to thoroughly be briefed on the surgery and what is planned for me. My goals are realistic. I know I will not look like someone who is very young without any kids as tissue are different, however, I have goals of Updated on 14 Sep 2017: Updated on 14 Sep 2017: Updated on 28 Sep 2017: So I had my surgery and here is my post opt Updated on 6 May 2018: Just updating from last post. I absolutely love my results.
I'm beyond thrilled and happy with my results. Dr. Shankar Lakshman is an artist, incredibly informative and professional. I've had other procedures/injectables elsewhere and nothing compares to Dr. Lakshman's technique. His staff is amazing too! He helped me achieve the restful and subtle look I was hoping for. No pain or bruising. I will not go ANYWHERE else for my anti-aging treatments.
Hello I am almost 5 weeks po my mini tummy tuck. I did not have lipo or any muscle repair, he simple removed the lower pouch in my abdomen. I have hated it since I had my son 7 years ago . I had my procedure on 1/18/17. The day of surgery I remember going into the operating room and my surgeon asking me what song I wanted to listen to. As soon as the song started I passed out. I woke up on my own hungry. Pain was very minimal. The hardest part was trying to sleep comfortably at night. I had drains for 7 days producing about 10cc for 24 hours after the first day in both drains. I was cleared at 3 weeks po to resume normal activity including working out. Of course to start light and pick up. I love my outcome and thank my doctor
I am a young mother I started having kids at 19. I haven't worn a bikini since I was 18 years old. Looking in the mirror after 3 c sections I was less than happy about my belly. So finally I have decided to get rid of my spare tire. I am very pleased that Dr. Lakshman is preforming my mini tummy tuck. Dr. Lakshman answered all of my questions and concerns. He is very personable and warm which put me at ease. He was honest and understood that I wanted to wear a bikini again. Day 1 post op mini tummy tuck. I have been hunched over like a little old lady when ambulatory. I have pretty much been confined to the bed. I have been emptying the drains and wearing my abdominal binder since surgery. I will say that it has been quite difficult and I have been very dependent on my husband (my angel). My post op appointment is a week from Monday. I will attempt to tackle showering Wednesday ???? update how that went. Updated on 23 Nov 2016: Uncomfortable and pressure. My mother made me laugh the worst pain ever ????????. I've been laying in bed and sitting on the couch nothing major. Excited to see what's under this binder once I shower tonight. Updated on 23 Nov 2016: Okay so I have taken off the abdominal binder this evening in preparation for The shower...cues dramatic music. ????????????. I notice a lot of swelling but what is gone is my pooch. I'm excited and happy. I'm still taking the Milk of Magnesia with hopes of pooping soon. ???????????? I'm learning it's one day at a time however I'm enjoying the pampering portion. I was able to move around a lot more today, which has been nice. My fluid from my drainage is clearing (less so blood). I am noticing more drainage from one side then the other. I am in no rush to take off the dressing and if I can I will try to maintain until my first appointment. All in all everything has been progressing nicely. Updated on 23 Nov 2016: First shower and I am excited. With help I have been wrapped in plastic wraps with hop3s of keeping the dressing dry. I did not remove the initial dressing because I honestly feel like it's securing everything in place. Lol. In my mind if it come off I might fall apart (joking). I will remove it if the dressing loses integrity or is unclean. So onto showering my husband assisted. I used a hair scarf to clip drains onto and we took turns holding them. Once in the shower I noticed water penetrated my plastic wrap ???????????? so it has its disadvantages. After removing the plastic I was able to pay dry the dressing which was only damp. I feel 110 times better and fresh. So plastic wrap is 50/50. Updated on 25 Nov 2016: I have been able to stand straight up today and moved out of bed (well rolled out by myself). What was new was the muscle spasms after resting. My abdomen has been a little jumpy. Pain is more tension and discomfort from the tightness my waist is looking very snatched. My breast and butt appear bigger, which makes me happy. I have been eating very well balanced meals and healthy snacks. I will post again once I see Dr. Lakshman for follow up. ???? Updated on 28 Nov 2016: I'm 100% happy that my drains are out. I'm able to move around. Its crazy what a difference the drains make. I advise waiting to speak with your surgeon concerning post op garment and after care. I bought a bunch of stuff I seen online however. DR. LAKSHMAN did not recommend most of it. Lol. So please check with your doctor before impulse buying lol????????????. I'm returning a garment that I bought and will purchase the one he offers. I'm going to post pics later. Updated on 28 Nov 2016: I am still a work in progress, however my FUPA is gone ????! I'm still swollen and there is a lot of tension. The anxiety of pulling or yanking my tubes are GONE. I'm excited seeing myself in a light that I haven't in 9 years. I'm almost ready to go shopping for lingerie and bikinis ????????????????. I've been uncomfortable and alot of tension since surgery. So I am learning to listen to my body and take a little more time off. All in all I'm happy with the outcome so far. Super thankful for Dr. Lakshman skill and expertise. ????
The staff is amazing, they have gone above and beyond. May biggest concern 4 months post-op is excess skin after tummy tuck. Does the American Board of Plastic Surgery have a limit to excess skin removed?
Hello and thanks for your question. I do believe that base width is the most important measurement in determining breast implant size. However, it is not the only measurement that we utilize. We also look at the nipple to inframammary fold distance. The nipple to sternal notch distance is also very helpful in my practice. The skin pinch test to determine the amount of skin laxity is critical. Finally, true nipple ptosis cannot be corrected with an implant alone and they need to be combined with a mastopexy or breast lift.Another important consideration is implant pocket position. A submuscular or dual plane approach will provide greater lift and greater upper pole fullness which you stated that you desire. Using higher profile implants can also create greater upper pole fullness and projection. Base width is only one of many factors when one is considering breast augmentation.
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on the photos you provided, you appear to have very low body fat and overall good skin tone. I see very little skin laxity. You have good muscularity and definition overall. I believe you would be a good candidate for liposculpture. Basically, this is removing the fat below the skin and bringing out increased definition and muscularity. This could potentially make your waist appear smaller and more refined.
Hello and thanks for a great question! When you are getting injectables, this involves some discomfort especially with introduction of needles. Techniques can be used that minimize the discomfort and prevent you from having a vasovagal response. This is actually very rare in our practice but we are always prepared when a patient has this problem. It is not a life-threatening condition and resolves with simple positional changes. There is always a small risk when performing any medical procedure but the risk of blindness and other catastrophic events is very low in our practice with fillers.
Hello and thank you for your excellent question. The answer is, yes an implant alone would probably provide enough lift assuming that it is done in the proper manner. First, you have to go with an implant slightly larger in order to fill the pocket adequately and address the loose skin. The implant position is also critical. It is important to place the implant in the right surgical plane. Based on your photos, a dual plane technique, where the implant is placed beneath the muscle and the breast tissue is separated from the muscle, can create somewhat of an internal lift and avoid scars on the breast itself.
Hello and thank you for your question. The proper way to determine the appropriate breast implant size is to measure the breast and the chest wall. There is a size that is right for you based upon your height and breast width. If you go to big, the implant will stick out on the sides. If you go to small, it will not fill the skin pocket and give you the shape and lift that you desire. They’re also different shaped implants that may help achieve the look that you want. If you go with a large enough implant, sometimes you can get away without doing a mastopexy or breast lift. I would have to examine you and see you and consultation to determine if an implant larger than 350 mL would be able to give you the look that you desire. Based on the photos you have provided, I think that this is possible.
