Going to be sharing my journey here! I have been wanting rhinoplasty since I was 13, and was struggling to find a doctor that I felt comfortable in my area (Seattle). All of the doctors up here either had scary reviews, or didn't practice lots of Rhinoplasty. So I came to the conclusion that maybe I should look outside of my state, and that's how I found Dr. Dugar!
Consultation went smoothly online. We discussed what I would like done on my nose, and he made it very clear on what safe and possible, as well as what I can expect in terms of results.
My surgery was yesterday! And WOW I am actually shocked how there’s absolutely no pain. I feel some head pressure, stuffyness, and a some runny nose from the bleeding, but ZERO pain at all. I woke up from the anesthesia and quickly started feeling alert and pretty darn fine!
The doctor himself and the staff are so kind in-person. Dr Dugar really makes sure you understand possible outcomes, and the things he can and can not do, as people wanting massive change might be better off with a open-rhinoplasty, while also staying safe. He talked to me after surgery and told me he believes we were able to achieve the things I wanted! I had my tip refined because it was bulbous, wide nasal bones narrowed, depressor septi muscle cut (so that my tip doesn’t point down when smiling), and he also shaved the bumps I had on my bridge. The humps were the ones he wasn’t sure we could do unless I wanted open-rhino, but it sounds like it ended up working out once he got in there LOL.
He showed me a patient similar to mine to help me understand expectations as a thick-skinned patient. She had a bulbous nose and 7 days at cast removal, her nose still looked bulbous because of the swelling. But you could see the immediate changes from the narrowing and shaving of her nose bridge. Next to the 7 day post op. He showed me her 3 year post of photo and OMG it looked SO much better, smaller, and with definition! It’s SO crazy how much it will take shape over the next few years and I’m very glad he showed me!
Last thing I can think to mention… I have anxiety. And the moment I got in there I wasn’t scared and felt so calm. Everyone there has great bedside manner and I almost reminded me of being comforted as a baby haha. The only time my brain finally went “oh dang” a little is when I walked into the operating room and saw my operating bed.. but the anesthesiologist acknowledged me quickly, reassured me, and answered my questions. And then I was quickly asleep! Didn’t even notice when it started happening.
While I won’t be able to see my nose for a few days, and I won’t see my final results for many months, I’ll try to come back to keep you guys updated. I feel VERY good about the surgeon I picked, and healing so far is going so smoothly! Only minor swelling an bruising, and I can already breathe through my nostrils!

Hi! I got my cast off yesterday and I LOVE IT!!! I immediately saw all of my areas of concerns addressed beautifully. It looks completely natural and still fit my face. I couldn’t help but get emotional! I can’t find a better word to describe this feeling other than it feels like “freedom”! I used to instinctively cover my nose when I laughed, and was always worried that the first thing people think when talking to me was “nose”.
But this looks so much smoother and less prominent. It still matches my ethnicity and overall facial harmony. Even the selfies I took, it looks great at all angles. I used to only take photos from “good” angles. I also don’t have dread photos that people take of me any more.
My nose was affecting my confidence for a long time.. and it took me years to find the doctor that I felt great about. I felt great about Dr Dugar right away and I’m so glad he was my surgeon. He really is a master of scarless rhinoplasty. I can’t believe he made my nose this natural and nice with the closed method.
It was so worth the travel. It was intimidating to travel out of state for this surgery, but the staff made everything so easy and comfortable. It was also nice that they called me every day to check how I was doing. Other than occasional mild stinging at the incision site, there was never any pain. I was also already breathing through my nose the same day as I got my surgery. They say there’s no pain, but when you actually get to experience it, it really was surprising how normal i felt.
I posted some photos of my nose before, and after cast off. Keep in mind the after photo is only one week post-op! So there’s still some swelling and bruising, and over the next year it’s going to continue to look better and better!
I just cropped the photos to the nose to protect my privacy, but I hope this helps! Let me know if you guys have any questions. I can’t praise him enough! He really changed my life.. thank you so much Dr Dugar.

Closed Rhinoplasty. 9 weeks post op from Deepak Dugar in Beverly Hills! So healing is going well.
There are definitely ups and downs with the healing process. I was freaking out about the swelling that randomly came up from weeks 5-8, but the past few days it’s improved a lot! I love it!
I love that the bumps in the bridge are smoother, nasal bones are more narrow, tip is less wide and fat, and my nose tip looks more lifted. People wonder if his results will be too subtle for them, but in my opinion the difference is substantial while looking very natural. I’m very happy.

Just a new update! I am almost 7 months post op. Around into month 6 is when I really started seeing the swelling go down. It gets better and better every week. Every issue I had with my nose has been fixed. The tip has a nice shape, not as bulky as before. My tip actually stays lifted when I smile too! I hated how my nose dropped when I smiled. The narrowing of the nasal bones also just makes my nose overall take up less space. Smoother bridge too. Super happy.
I will do one more update at 1 year, and another one at 1.5 years. I can’t wait to see how much more it’s going to improve because it’s already looking great!
