Great Results and I'm really happy

Fantastic. Dr Garry really listened to me and I felt very comfortable with him. The results we seen just shy of the two weeks he said it would take and I'm really happy. The complimentary post treatment check was very much appreciated and reassuring.

Feel like I'm back to normal

Before the GynaeLase treatment, I had a bladder problem and I was told that I would have to get my uterus removed. After having three kids (one was a set of twins) I felt like my uterus was coming down. It almost felt like a hernia at times. I had to wear a panty liner at all times, just in case, and if I had to cough or sneeze, I had to stand still. Now, I have no worries at all. Since the treatment, I’ve been told that I don’t need an operation. I can do my regular exercises, go for long walks with my kids and I don’t have to wear a panty liner at all anymore. I feel like I’m back to normal and I’m really happy. I had some minor side effects in the two weeks following the treatment (a bit of bleeding and discharge) but the doctor told me that I might expect that, and it happened less each time. I’ll be returning for maintenance every six months and I’ve recommended the treatment to a few of my clients already.

Great outcome and friendly service

Although apprehensive at first about outcomes due to poor experiences elsewhere, I was pleasantly surprised at dr Gary Cussels proficiency - I had no bruising and very little redness after the anti wrinkle procedure, and he accommodated my request for an ice pack without query. All the girls at reception and consult areas were friendly and courteous too.

Remarkable results after 3 months

Dr Garry explained everything about the procedure and answered all my questions giving me the confidence to go ahead with this intimate Gynaelase treatment. Results during the first three months were not so remarkable, and I was a little worried, but Dr Garry explained the best results would come after my follow-up treatment and I have to say the difference after 3 months is remarkable not only sexually, but also because I had problems with my bladder (urge incontinence). For me this was a real game-changer, I have recommended this to friends with similar issues, women are so happy to get hit with lasers is all sorts of other places, the vagina is just another part of your skin. I would definitely recommend Dr Garry and this treatment.

Fraxel Laser for Moderate Acne Scarring - Sydney, Australia

Hi all! I'd like to share my experience with the Fraxel laser, to add to all the other stories. I'm a 26 year old Australian girl with extremely light skin (I swear I glow in the dark!). Since puberty I've suffered from acne and the aftermath, scarring. I was so sick of looking in the mirror and hating what I saw. The acne scars had to go. My self esteem was rock bottom and my social life non-existant. Fraxel has changed that. I first went to a clinic after researching them thoroughly in 2008. I had a crappy job then which didn't allow for much time off but I did manage one treatment that year. I then wondered whether I should continue the treatments after getting a new, flexible job that allowed for time off without distruptions as I figured I'd need longer downtime than most. I went back to the same clinic three times in 2010. March, June, September. I spaced the treatments three months apart so that I could see for myself the results over a longer period, and to decide if I really wanted to keep going back. For me the downtime was two weeks each treatment as my Dr. encouraged me to do the heavier treatments. I had my full face done each time. On the pain scale I'd say it was uncomfortable and every now and then I would really feel the burn on sensitive areas but it was made bearable by the reassurance of the nurse performing the treatment and the fact that it didn't take long until it was finished. I left the clinic each time with pigment/vitamin B serum and post laser lotion and instructions on how to care for my skin in the coming weeks. I live four hours from Sydney so they were also kind enough to give me a follow up call to see how I was going after each treatment. I was impressed. After the three in 2010 my skin was so much better. The post-laser redness in my skin lingered for a long, long time however. Maybe because I'm so fair skinned it was more noticible, I'm not sure. But it was easy to cover with makeup and the improvement to my scars was so good that I didn't care that I was left a little red. My doctor reassured me that it would fade. I had no treatments in 2011 as I wanted to let my skin settle a bit so I could gauge whether I wanted to go back for more, and to let my purse recover! A friend put me on to a local beautician who I reluctantly saw to get my nails done. After my visit my views on beauticians changed and I found myself going back to her often. I told her about my skin story and by this time my active acne was still present (mostly under my jawline where I didn't have Fraxel). She put me on to the Obagi acne skin care system and wow... it took months for it to kick in but I am happy to report that my acne is under control. Amazing product. I also went through numerous derms and peels as they were recommended and loved every one. So 2011 was Fraxel free but still great. While I am so happy with the transition in my skin the past two years I'm not 100% content yet. Friends and family think I'm crazy and I look fine but, as you would all know, it's about what I see when I look in the mirror that counts. This year I have plans for more Fraxel. As I type this I am sitting here post-Fraxel by four days. My skin is red, coarse and just starting to flake. I'm still swollen and I have a ton of milia (little white pimples) to battle but I know that will all settle down. For me it's a journey that I'm not at the end of. What I really want to stress to anyone thinking about Fraxel is to do your homework! Research the clinic and the costing. Don't pay $500 for a treatment that other clinics are offering at $1500. It's not worth it. Find a clinic with an excellent reputation and you will know why they charge so much more. Cheap is not your friend when it comes to Fraxel. In terms of downtime, if you want real results I believe you're looking at longer downtime. For me it's two weeks off work for each treatment. The first 5 days I look like a monster. But after 10 days I can pop makeup on and face the world again. Also, don't be scared by the horror stories. Instead, listen to the positive stories and educate yourself. Pick your Dr and clinic carefully. If you're in the Sydney area or can travel there I recommend my clinic. Good luck to everyone thinking of undertaking the procedure! It's tough, but stick it out and you'll see results.

Bad Botox

Botox expensive, not effective and not symmetrical (+600 AUD for crows feet, frown and forehead). He did not even checked himself 2 weeks afterwards. His colleague said it was the best he could do, that I was getting old and my face was falling down... very disappointing. Would not recommend to anybody. Also made me wait for 45 min with an appointment. Not respect for customer whatsoever.

Highly regretful experience

Unfortunately my experience with Dr Gary Cussal was highly regretful. I had botox done 2 weeks ago and I clearly specified before proceeding that I wanted to retain movement in my eyebrows. He began injecting right above the hair of my eyebrows - I have never had a doctor inject so close to the eyebrows when i have requested to retain eyebrow movement and I have done this many times. Sure enough, my eyebrows and my whole forehead are frozen solid. I can't even open my eyes properly and my appearance throughout the day looks like I've just woken up. I am having to explain to people why my face is so different and without expression which is also a first. This was FAR from the subtle effect I had requested. I went back to Dr Cussell yesterday to show him what had happened (he apparently asks everyone back for a review 2 weeks later) I asked him why he hadn't listened to my request - he came up with excuses which made no sense to me and ultimately had to admit he had used the 'maximum amount of botox' in that area which is why it was so frozen. I paid well over $300 for this procedure - I told Dr Cussell if I could pay 3 times that amount in order to go back in time and not have this done I would do so. Unfortunatly even though Dr Cussell admited he used too much botox on me, he refused to give me a refund. I know have to go through months of looking frozen even after specifically requesting not to look like this. I definitely wouldnt trust this doctor.

Poor experience

Very bad. Not accomodating. Uses very high laser settings for conditions warranting only skin rejuvenation. This is dangerous. A doctor in the hippocratic oath should do no harm first. Conservative treatment always rather than have unwanted complications.
