Hi there Elizabeth,
I think you can be well advised on this, but we need better images. Front, 3/4, side, from upper cheeks just below eyes to lower neck. Forward gaze, neutral expression, not smiling.
If you can post these, happy to offer you some thoughts.

HI there.
Thanks for your question.
I've seen some answers so far here that are good, some more risky, and I would certainly advise you not to have an permanent filler injection such as silicon. That could, if it got infected, be disastrous to your nose.
Here's my approach:
If you're happy with the straightness and smoothness of your nasal bones and cartilage under the skin, then the challenge is to thicken the skin or the subcutaneous layer underneath the skin.
If the skeleton is not straight and smooth, then that is the problem, not the skin.
Assuming the skeleton is smooth, I think you can readily be treated with a non surgical approach.
The most effective method is to use hyaluronic acid filler. Its density, or viscosity, can actually fill or disguise irregularity effectively. Tethered skin points can be released via a subcision technique. It's temporary and needs to be repeated, but is also reversible if there is a problem. That's very good. A single treatment if effective, lasts for years - at least 2, maybe more.
Nanofat graft is an option. It needs to be explained to you though that a single treatment will not correct the problem. Fat injected is soft, thin and has no viscosity. Irregularity would persist. With several (2 - 4) grafts, I would expect a smoother and thicker skin, and I think it would work. IT is the most natural and healthy approach for the skin, and once working well should give you a long term improvement. But it would take some time to get there.
These two options are simple and can be done under local anaesthetic walk in walk out, with minimal recovery.
All the best.

Hi there,
You've got this entirely wrong.
You state that you are 2 weeks post op, but are talking about "the result".
At 2 weeks post op you are not seeing any result at all. You are seeing a swollen abdominal wall which really hasn't even yet started to heal.
At 6 months post op, you will see the final result.
So:
Be patient.
Wear your compression garment 24/7 except showering for another 2 - 4 weeks.
Have a daily massage of your abdominal wall as firmly as you can, while lying on your back. Massage oil, and firm circular motions.
Wait optimistically. It will most likely all be ok. You're not going to know for awhile. When "the result" is there to see, say 6 months post op, you can assess it with your surgeon and see if you're pleased.

Hi there,
Thanks for your great question.
Technically, it is definitely possible to do a full tummy tuck with an entirely vertical incision. This is occasionally indicated where there is a previous vertical scar, as in your case.
As has been pointed out by another surgeon here, as your scar only goes to the belly button area, the entire scar can be removed by a conventional tummy tuck approach, plus some lipo, which would leave you with a long low horizontal incision you can hide under underwear, only. The vertical scar would be entirely removed.
You would definitely benefit from having this fixed in every way, and it's not a difficult thing to do.
I hope you do it, and all the very best to you.

HI there.
There is simply a lot more to it than the influence on the tip through hump removal. The answer to your question is that often lowering the bridge can make a nose look longer - but that an individualised approach is necessary as there are a NUMBER OF FACTORS at play in determining real and apparent nasal length before and after rhinoplasty. Even the degree of proposed hump removal is an important factor.
Some of the other comments here already show that.
Your tip overprojects and in my opinion needs to be deprojected if you had rhinoplasty - so more than a hump removal is necessary.
A small hump removal, leaving a fairly strong nasal bridge profile, won't increase apparent length of the nose - UNLESS - the radix is high. A high radix will make a nose look longer can be disguised by a hump, and exposed by hump removal.
So the place to start is 3D imaging, and working on a profile you like, and looking at the front view consequences of that.
Personally I think it likely that some tip complex deprojection will be a good idea, and probably a little upward tip rotation but not much.
We cant see your radix in the images but it looks like it might be ok as it is.
Hope this helps,

Hi there, thanks for your question.
You do have visible asymmetry.
I do not think you have upper lid ptosis, as has been suggested. Your brow position and upper lid symmetry seems pretty good.
Your images suggest skull bony asymmetry - which is common. Your left lower lid sits a little lower, and it's my impression that there is cheek asymmetry underneath that.
Most likely this is harmless.
What to do - if anything - the best approach may simply be to accept that it's normal - depends upon an accurate diagnosis being made.
I would suggest to consult with a specialist plastic surgeon in your area who has craniofacial training, as a beginning point.
Hope this helps, all the very best.

Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear of your failed muscle repair.
Firstly, a muscle repair that fails is uncommon.
Possible causes are:
Your anatomy (weak or thin fascia over the muscle which tears at the stitch holes of the sutures and does not "hold" the stitch, or it is possible you have too much visceral fat ( if you lie on your back, is your tummy full and protruding above your rib cage, or hollow? If full, then a repair will not work well as it would need ot be closed too tightly and will not hold. In this case, you must lose some weight before re repair to deflate the visceral fat. Plastic surgery cannot access fat behind the muscle).
Your post op activity. A muscle repair is really a hernia repair, and should not be stressed by any resisted activities for around 6 weeks post op.
Your surgeon's chosen suture material - if it is dissolving, or was a weak suture, it might not hold.
Your surgeons technique - the repair was not strongly enough constructed.
Whatever the cause: ensure your visceral fat content is low before a re repair. Then, from your surgeons point of view, a RE REPAIR WITH REINFORCEMENT is necessary to cover all bases and give you the strongest possible repair so that this time it will hold.
In my hands I use a permanent external mesh about 5cm wide overlaid on any repair I do if I judge that it may be weak - ie the fascia is thin. I've never used pigskin. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it.
Your surgeons is saying to you that reinforcement of the repair is necessary. This is logical and correct. If I were you I would have the repair reinforced this time. Maybe ask your surgeon why pigskin (allplastic ADM) as the reinforcement. Synthetic mesh made of similar materials to sutures is cheaper and when placed externally does not carry the risk of mesh placed intraabdominally. It is a safe use of mesh, and is cheap. Your surgeon might have great reasons to prefer pigskin, so worth asking why, and if there are cheaper reinforcement materials - there are!
hope this helps,
Please post how you go!

You ask a good question and there are many lessons in your story. You know now, that if conflicted about a possible surgery, you should wait and not have it.
Having said that, the underlying character of your nose is not all that different. In the short term, I recommend you explore filler injections to add some bulk to the tip and bridge. This will tide you over for 1 - 2 years, making your nose much more like your old nose and then you can objectively review and see where you are once mentally you have been able to let some time and space occur. Be calm - I htink you can have a nose not unlike your old nose if in the long run that is your desire.
But: NOW is NOT the time to have further surgery. Give it at least a year, and have some counselling. Do not compound one decision you regret with another.
Note if you explore this that you need a real expert injector - and understand the cause and treatment of vascular injury risk in filler injections, ensuring that your doctors is aware of and can treat this if it occurred.
All the best

Hi there,
You are indeed a healthy looking man.
You simply have inherited lower abdominal fat deposits. Your muscular shape is normal.
The issue is entirely correctable by competent liposuction. For life - as long as you stay a healthy weight.
Tip for finding a surgeon: Find the best liposuction surgeon, and don't fall for the marketing rubbish that the type of technique or the machine matters. I see a lot of people advocating a particular "method" as though that mattered. The surgeons controls 100% of your result. A good surgeon will create a good result, and a poor surgeon will create a poor result - regardless of the tool or "liposuction machine" in their hand.
So look at the work, and the reputation/
If you'd like a name, my friend Chris Inglefield in London is an excellent liposuction surgeon.
All the best,

A few months ago I underwent several facial procedures, performed by Dr Webster. From the initial consultation to the surgery and follow up appointments I have nothing but praise for Dr Webster and his team. I had countless questions and Dr Webster was always patient, clear and honest with his answers and explanations. I started to think about surgery when my eyelids were causing my eyes to almost close (ptosis). When I researched it, I discovered other procedures that I thought might improve my appearance. I wasn't sure what was feasible so I went to Dr Webster for advice. He explained what could be done and his vision of the outcome. His emphasis was on a natural looking result, which was important to me. He recommended having several procedures at the one time, so I did. After having a brow lift, face lift, neck lift and improvements to the areas under and around my eyes, I feel like a new person. As Dr Webster promised, the result is natural looking and I simply look 'fresher', a lot fresher I might add! It's such a natural look in fact, that most people have not noticed! They just say things like "you're looking well" for example, without knowing what's different. I'm enjoying lots of compliments lately! After surgery during my time in hospital, Dr Webster frequently visited to check up. He was also always easily contactable which was reassuring. My recovery is going well and is just as Dr Webster described. I would have no hesitation going back for further surgery or recommending him to others. He is an exceptionally talented surgeon who has a pleasant and informative manner with patients (and spouses. Thank you for everything Dr Webster!
I recently had a facial rejuvenation performed by Dr Webster. - Deep plane face lift, Neck liposuction, Anterior platysmaplasty, Chin implant, Temple lift, Upper blepharoplasty, Fat grafting to upper cheeks and laser skin resurfacing. The result is even better than I expected. I am beyond happy with the results. All of the staff were so lovely. I felt very cared for and still do with each follow up appointment. Dr Webster is a lovely man. I initially was only concerned about my neck area as because of my age 53, and past weight fluctuations it was noticeably sagging. Dr Webster suggested the other procedures and explained to me why these will help to balance my face and he was 100% correct. I was scared to get my eyes and brows done because I had seen some unnatural results around the internet but I am 1 month on from my surgery and my face looks completely natural. I was hoping to look 5 years younger but I feel I look 10 years younger. My mother even said the other day that I look in my 30's!! This has been a life changing decision for me that will add so much joy to my life. I also feel positive that it will have a hugely positive effect on many areas to my life through the renewed confidence I feel.
I have had a very positive experience with Dr Howard Webster, who performed a successful facelift on me just six weeks ago. I have no hesitation in recommending him. As his patient, I was quite literally in ‘good hands’! For years, I had been feeling that my appearance no longer matched how I felt on the inside. My jowls were becoming more prominent, and the skin on my neck had lost its firmness, leaving me looking more tired and older than I truly was. While I initially tried non-surgical options like fillers, thread lifts, Botox, and lasers, these treatments were costly, and although the results were initially satisfying, they didn’t provide lasting effects. Over time, I became concerned that these temporary fixes might lead to unnatural results or that I might fall victim to the dreaded “pillow face” look. I decided to explore a more permanent surgical solution and began researching facelifts. That's when I turned to Dr Webster, and I haven’t looked back. His reassuring manner and confidence that he could achieve my goal of a refreshed, natural look — one that was age-appropriate — put me at ease. I had many questions, and most were answered through the extensive educational videos on his website. I was particularly concerned about nerve damage and the length of the surgery, which was set to last 6.5 hours. Dr Webster patiently addressed all my worries, giving me the reassurance I needed to move forward. His 30 years of experience in the field and knowledge are invaluable. Dr Webster and his team were with me every step of the way during post-op care and follow-up appointments. I am now six weeks post-op and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Although I still have a bit of swelling (completely normal), I feel more confident and energised. I look the way I feel. I’ve returned to teaching without anyone noticing a significant change (I changed my hair colour as a subtle disguise in case anyone suspects something different!). Dr Webster and his team are genuinely caring professionals who never dismissed any of my questions. I’m very grateful for the experience and the results. Finally, Dr Webster has even developed a line of evidence-based skincare products called ‘Angry Doctor’. Three products are all you need – just add sunscreen – and you are good to go. He provides clarity in the very confusing and noisy world of skincare for older women.
I am now about 4 weeks post op after my endoscopic brow lift with Dr Howard Webster. I am so, so happy with my results that I wanted to share my positive experience! Why I Got This Surgery: My canthal tendon was always downturned, which gave my eyes a kind of sad, sleepy look. This became more pronounced with age. One side had dropped more than the other. It bothered me. When I went in for an initial consultation with Dr Webster, he was very enthusiastic about the brow lift. He has an energy about him - you sense he enjoys doing this work and he is proud of the results he achieves for his patients. My overarching feelings when I left the initial consultation were: I felt a strongly positive feeling about getting the brow lift like it was the definite right choice for me, and I felt like Dr Webster was the right doctor for me and I was in safe hands. The Results My results have absolutely blown me away. My eyes look so much better as the brow lift also lifted the corners of my eyes. My brows are at a nicer height with a bit of an arch which I didn't have before. I'm honestly SO, SO thrilled. The Recovery Dr Webster is an extremely skilled surgeon, and I had hardly any bruising - just one little bruise under my left eye. I did have swelling for a few days, which gradually resolved over the next 2 weeks. The incisions have been painful - probably more so than I was expecting, I read some reviews on this site of this procedure which suggested only "some discomfort" after the surgery. It wasn't like that for me - I wouldn't use the word "discomfort", I'd use the word "pain"!!! All that to say - this surgery is not a joke; it hurts! Strong pain relief the first few days helped to get me though and after that I just tried to make do with Panadol, nurofen, ice, and looking in the mirror at my fresh new appearance to soothe the pain. I also have been doing hyperbaric oxygen sessions daily for a week or two as that apparently improves wound healing. 4 weeks in, it's finally starting to get better and evidently everything will feel totally fine in the next couple of weeks or so. In terms of work - I was working (from home) 2 days after the surgery. I could leave the house 1 week after the surgery. I have now started light exercise and feel like myself again. To conclude and recap: 1. Dr Webster is amazing. He is friendly, he has good energy, and most importantly he is exceptionally good at what he does. 2. I am thrilled with my results. My brow lift lifted both my eyes and my brows, corrected some asymmetry that was bothering me, and makes me look better and younger. 3. The surgery is a serious undertaking, because (at least in my case) it was quite painful at the incisions, which I could manage during the day, but which made sleeping trickier - I've had to sleep on my back basically. But despite these things, it's DEFINITELY worth it.
If only I had done this years ago! My breast reduction is truly life changing! Howard & his team gave me heaps of confidence through the whole process with their professionalism & caring manner. Would absolutely recommend them. Thank you!
Howard is the most incredible surgeon, from the first consultation through to the recovery period. I could not be happier with the results and care provided. I have had a couple of surgeries with Howard and the results have been beyond my expectations.
Dr Howard Webster is an exceptional plastic surgeon and person. I opted for a bra line back lift two years after breast reduction. Dr Webster fully explained the procedure and discussed the post procedure considerations prior to the surgery. Now 8 weeks post the bra line back surgery, the recovery process is encouraging, as explained by Dr Webster. The scar line is flat and fading. The scar sits perfectly flat within the bra line and no signs through clothing. Understanding and absorbing discussions about the procedure was important for me in considering the results I would achieve relative to my lifestyle which includes swimwear. Dr Webster was able to achieve an excellent result. He is caring, listens, explains options and gives you confidence to make decisions that are right for you. Dr Webster, Sally, Gail, Jo and Team Webster are with you throughout your surgical experience and provide their expertise to ensure excellent outcomes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr Howard Webster as your choice for a plastic surgeon,
Dr Howard Webster is amazing. He is very supportive and helps you make an informed decision on what type of surgery you need. If you don’t need it he will tell you so. The whole process was seem less. The before and after care is perfect. Dr Howard comes to see you everyday that you are in hospital and listens to any concerns you have. I can’t thank Dr Howard or his team especially Gail for your ongoing care with my surgery and recovery. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and will recommend them to anyone.
I was set to go to Thailand but covid hit which made everything too hard. They still have my deposit! Howard Webster was recommended. No nonsense, caring, realistic and listens to you! Cannot fault anything. His staff are wonderful. Appointments are always on time. Follow up care is amazing. Really think twice about doing this overseas, if you are thinking so. Just call Howard. He gives you the facts, the truth and most of all the time! I am so happy with the results! A shame your private health won't cover the cost of the hospital though.
I had a reaction to injectable fillers last year (not with Dr Webster) and had to take steroids which left a lot of fat loss on my face causing a distorted appearance. I had my first consultation with Dr Webster and he recommended fat transfer and an extended temporal lift. The procedure and entire experience went brilliantly. I was well informed and extremely looked after pre and post op. Dr Webster was so professional and the team were amazing. Im so happy, my face looks natural and years younger thanks to Dr Webster.
