300cc Silicone Underarm Incision/amazing Experience

I had BA done by Dr. Geoff Barnett on Oct 30th, I was 167cm/54kg with a 32A bra size, I got 300cc silicone, now I am 32C,just the size I wanted and fit my body type perfectly. Now I am about 1 month post op, I couldn’t be happier with how my breasts look now, and my recover was smooth enough so I didn’t “suffer” much as I initially scared of. I only did a couple months of research before I decided to go with Dr. Geoff Barnett, I wanted to get the under arm incision due to my own skin scar issue, Dr. Barnett is one of the best BA surgeons who is experienced with it( very few in Melbourne) , I was of course excited about BA but terrified about it, at the initial consultation with Dr. Geoff Barnett and Jennie ( Patient Liaison Nurse), I felt much relaxed about it, he is very professional and relatable, and addressed my concerns, what made me more relaxed was the fact that both him and Jennie didn’t push me or even try to “sell”, which makes the whole process very natural, I can build my trust easily( it’s normally hard for me). The day of the surgery, I was really well taken care of, from the whole operation team( I must have met a dozen of them), I remember I was shaking when getting ready, as I was there alone without any supports, from the anesthetist to the nurses, they gave me extra attention just so I feel better( Dr. Barnett actually conducted the surgery in hospital, not a clinic, bonus point for me). I had nothing to worry about the post op care, Jennie takes care of everything, all I need to do is to come back as scheduled and follow instructions. ( they have a very thorough and detailed post recovery plan with all necessary goods provided). As a private person, I normally prefered to not saying anything, I believe this is my first review, like ever, haha~ But I just want to recommend Dr. Barnett, Jennie and their team, especially if you have same condition as me. Considering how terrified I was at the beginning, I am just thankful for my whole experience with them, and couldn’t wait for more time to come.

Breast Reduction

biancacondello

22 Year Old Breast Reduction Patient Originally with Size 10J Breasts! - Melbourne, AU

I had always joked and dreamed of a breast reduction but was so petrified of the whole process of surgery etc i could never bring myself to do it. Finally at the age of 21 I booked in to see a surgeon (Dr Barnett) to reduce my slightly asymmetric and oversized J cup boobs! I am currently 5 weeks post op and am kicking myself i didn't do it earlier. The whole experience was seamless and so exciting i would do it all again in a heartbeat. Considering what a nervous patient i was i'm surprised to hear myself say that but the whole process has been amazing and mostly painless. I wasn't taking painkillers for long once i got home from the hospital. It at times can just be a little uncomfortable from swelling and bruising!

Tummy Tuck

Tummy Tuck and Liposuction After Weight Loss and 4 Children.

I am a 35 year old mother of 4 children, I have lost around 30 kilos and been left with a large amount of tummy hang (or apron as the Dr's call it) I have hated it for 18 years since having my first child. I finally decided to do something about it. Although very nervous. I booked a consult with Dr Geoffrey Barnett, straight from day one and that first visit, I found him to be very friendly and honest about what could be done to help me, about the results I could expect and price and payment details ect. I am now 12 weeks post surgery and my results are something I am very happy with. I feel like a new person.

34 Years, 1 Child 350cc HP Mentor Silicone Transanxillary Under the Muscle - Hawthorn, AU

I spent my early adolescence teased at school for having a "surfboard" chest. These thoughts and feelings carried through into my adulthood and for years, I would hate to look in the mirror at myself because my flat chest was always the first thing I would see. For nearly 12 years now I have dreamt of having a Breast Augmentation and this year I had worled hard and saved money to finally finance it without a loan. I have one child who is 6, I never had much tissue before, but feeding her made the minimal boobs I had even worse! (My frame is quite thin, I have broad shoulders weigh 55kg and am about 173cm tall.) After alot of research, and reading I found the Cosmetic Surgery for Women in Hawthorn and made an appointment. Being in Victoria helped and knowing that the surgeon's here all had 30 plus years of plastic and cosmetic surgery experience I felt comfortable knowing that I was in good hands. I needed to have the surgery done to suit my end of year leave so Mr Geoffrey Barnett was the surgeon I was booked in for a consult with. I shook like a leaf at my first appointment, had no idea what to ask even though it was all in my head, but his kind nature and friendly support staff helped me to feel more comfortable and covered everything I needed to know. After a discussion about my preferences, wish photos and the use of a Vectra machine (takes photos to show you how you will look) , Mr Barnett suggested 350cc to suit the photos I had shown. The sizers felt way too big when I tried them so we compromised on 325cc HP Smooth Silicone. I really wanted to have a natural look if possible. By the time my second appointment rolled around I had decided to go with the 350cc. My surgery date was 20th December at the Epworth in Hawthorn. The staff were all incredible. I felt very nervous butnat ease at the same time. The surgery went well but I woke up terribly from the anesthetic. I spent the entire day in hospital in pain, with extreme nausea. The nurse Andrew was a saviour and I am so thankful to him.for his patience and bedside manner. Geoff came to visit me two or three times and all i can remember is him.saying he was very happy with the surgery and I got a pat on the head. Hahaha My next five days were pretty full on. I was very lucky to have my fiancé there those first 24 hours after to help me do pretty much everything. I couldn't get myself up from the bed or anything. And while the hospital drugs wore off I threw up every time I had a new dose of oxicontin. My mum helped for the next three days while I was in recovery. No matter where I tried to sleep it was impossible and I had extremly bad back pain. Tightness with breathing (deep breaths were impossible), I didnt eat much for two or three days. Its hard when youre in the rough of it because it feels like its never going to end! But day 8 I finally got a full night sleep (with pain med help still). Bowels arent working too well. Now I believe them when they say "the meds will bind you up" - My Gut looks pregnant! I have done as the surgeon asked and wear my post op bra 24/7 except for showers. The scars under my arms are feeling better and I finally have more movement. Use of arms in the first three or four days was really tricky. Painful but also just uncomfortable. I am day 10 and I love the way my new boobs are looking so far. For the first time in my life I can stand tall and feel like a woman without feeling embarrassed and ashamed. And I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Geoff Barnett and his nurse Jenny. They have been so lovely during this process and Jenny is always there to help if you ring or email. Updated on 6 Jan 2017: Sweplling continues to go down and feeling really happy with the results thus far. Its amazing feeling that the smallest things that seem so different now. I had a quick visit to the beach and when i went into the chamge rooms, I wasnt running the cubicle with a door to hide behind and get changed like I once would have. Its the little things that no one else would even notice but my confidence has completely changed. Onwards and upwards! Updated on 23 Jan 2017: Ive just reached the four week mark and thought I would do a quick update. Ive had my four week checkup and everything is going super well. My surgeon is happy with my progress and so am I. Ive been given the all clear to start wearing (supportive) bras and can finally say goodbye to the post op bra. My scars are healing very well also. My size is perfect for my frame although when I tried on the 350cc sizers They seemed a whole lot bigger than what they are now that they are implanted so I would say be very careful when you select your size. I am still getting the odd sharp pain here and there in the breast but they dont last long and my nipples are extremely sensitive but improving each day.

Transaxillary BA by Dr. Geoffrey Barnett, Hawthorn - Melbourne, AU

I have considered a BA for over 10 years, but refrained due to worries about having scars on my breasts (I have had friends whose scars misaligned with breast creases). For me, transaxillary was the only option I was comfortable with. I had a few consults, including in Melbourne, Gold Coast and Sydney, and while all were capable, many encouraged me to go inframammary. Then I found Dr. Geoff Barnett who, with over 30 years experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, had the experience necessary to confidently perform a transaxillary procedure. His skill and expertise are second to none. I was not even an A cup before, and now measure 8E or 10DD (I am 5 foot, 100 pounds, approx 11.5cm bwd. Very active at gym and running). I am astounded with the results, even my husband is surprised that my breasts look even better than we had hoped for. My incisions healed beautifully, and he even managed to give me medial cleavage and upper pole fullness as personally requested! Nurse Jenny was always available (even at short notice) to see me and answer any and all questions. In fact, the follow up care has been very thorough, Dr. Barnett visited right after surgery and again the morning after, his nurse Jenny has done an amazing job of easing the recovery anxieties I have had, as well as providing after care packs and advice I cannot thank them enough. My breasts look and feel amazing. Currently I am 14 weeks post op. Feel free to pm me with any questions. I will also be adding photos shortly (once I work out how!). Updated on 28 Nov 2016: Photos! Ear Surgery

ChiChiBella

Otoplasty age 11

I had otoplasty aged 11, which I totally regret. So basically my whole life I have never felt confident tying my hair back. Dr Barnett totally disfigured my right ear. I would have rather kept my protruding ears. This is the biggest regret of my life and I wonder often whether the cartilage can be reshaped to a less alien-like appearance since. I'm pretty easy going and forgiving with my expectations but my right ear has caused me so much insecurity over the years I get angry with myself for ever asking my mum to organise it for me as a child. Updated on 6 Oct 2018: I had an otoplasty at age 11 with Dr Barnett. Unfortunately the results on my right ear left me still unable to wear my hair back due to an something gone wrong with either the surgery or healing leaving my ear looking very unnatural. Basically I was teased at school because of it and this procedure did nothing for my self confidence.  I'm currently researching my options to remedy this. See my photos on my profile...
