Transaxillary BA by Dr. Geoffrey Barnett, Hawthorn - Melbourne, AU

I have considered a BA for over 10 years, but refrained due to worries about having scars on my breasts (I have had friends whose scars misaligned with breast creases). For me, transaxillary was the only option I was comfortable with. I had a few consults, including in Melbourne, Gold Coast and Sydney, and while all were capable, many encouraged me to go inframammary. Then I found Dr. Geoff Barnett who, with over 30 years experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, had the experience necessary to confidently perform a transaxillary procedure. His skill and expertise are second to none. I was not even an A cup before, and now measure 8E or 10DD (I am 5 foot, 100 pounds, approx 11.5cm bwd. Very active at gym and running). I am astounded with the results, even my husband is surprised that my breasts look even better than we had hoped for. My incisions healed beautifully, and he even managed to give me medial cleavage and upper pole fullness as personally requested! Nurse Jenny was always available (even at short notice) to see me and answer any and all questions. In fact, the follow up care has been very thorough, Dr. Barnett visited right after surgery and again the morning after, his nurse Jenny has done an amazing job of easing the recovery anxieties I have had, as well as providing after care packs and advice
I cannot thank them enough. My breasts look and feel amazing. Currently I am 14 weeks post op. Feel free to pm me with any questions. I will also be adding photos shortly (once I work out how!).

My implants are 325cc silicone, smooth round, high profile. However with my smallish frame this size was large enough to give me the DDs I always wanted

Awesome! I'm glad you're happy with your results! Are your scars very noticeable?

No, and only about 3cm at most across

First photo in blue underwear one week post right still to drop. Underarm incision barely there at 3 months

I am 3 weeks post op and I am so happy with the results. The scaring is already pretty in noticable and my boobs are the size I always should have been. The surgery was not too painful and certainly worth every cent. Dr Barnett is a fantastic surgeon. :)

That's fantastic to hear, nothing better than a good recovery! Did you also go transaxillary?

You look wonderful! I can't tell where your incision is in the armpit photo. I wonder why transaxillary insertion isn't used more regularly. Seems like the perfect option.

Thank you so much... I know they use this method more in Asia, and for those that scar easily... But does not seem like a popular method here in Oz. I'm not sure about US?

Hi, they look great. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind posting a photo of the scar now that more time has passed? Hoping to get axillary incision too! Thank you so much :)
