Post-Pregnancy Procedures
A mommy makeover is a term used to describe a group of procedures a woman uses to regain her pre-baby body—and possibly even improve it. Usually done in a single surgical session, it pretty much always involves a tummy tuck, to tighten the belly and repair muscles; a breast augmentation with or without a breast lift, to raise saggy breasts or replace lost fullness; and liposuction, to help with body contouring. It may also include vaginal rejuvenation or a Brazilian butt lift.
Breast Surgery
Breast augmentation, one of the most popular cosmetic procedures, enhances the size and shape of the breast by placing a breast implant behind the breast tissue. This provides a more feminine figure, increases clothing options, and helps women feel better about the way they look. The procedure is customized for each patient – the breast implants can be placed above or below the muscle. Scars can be hidden under the arm, around the nipple, or under the breast.
Recently we have been using a rapid recovery system. Over 90% of our patients exhibit no bruising and their pain is controlled by non-narcotic analgesics. No bandages, drains, or special bras are used. Patients typically can shower, eat regular food, and leave the house the day of surgery. You may lift objects, drive, and resume normal activities within 48 hours of surgery even with implants beneath the muscle. All the sutures are buried underneath the skin and do not require removal.
