Dr. Charles Austin Hunt, II, MD, FACS, RVT, of Alabama Vein & Restoration Medspa, is highly skilled in the field of Phlebology, general surgery, and cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Currently, in private practice in Hoover, Alabama, he has over 22 years of experience in vascular medicine. With certifications to practice medicine in Indiana, Tennessee, and Alabama, Dr. Hunt has also served on the faculty for the University of Tennessee, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Hunt specializes in the treatment of vein disorders using modern technologies, such as endovenous laser ablation, microphlebectomy, and sclerotherapy. To date, he has completed over 10,000 endovenous laser procedures to treat varicose vein disease. Practicing alongside a highly skilled and knowledgeable staff, Dr. Hunt strives to provide the best in care for vein disorders at Alabama Vein & Restoration Medspa.

Michelle was born and raised in Birmingham. She graduated from UAB and has over 20 years of managerial experience with exposure to Primary Care, General Surgery, and Dermatology. She enjoys outdoor activities like water sports, kayaking, and hiking. She likes to cook and try new foods and experience new adventures. Michelle considers her happy place to be Smith Lake with her family.

From her teenage years, Erin has been captivated by the world of aesthetics due to her own struggle with acne. Witnessing the transformative impact of effective skincare on her self-esteem and confidence ignited a fervent desire to help others navigate similar challenges. Erins journey has led her to Aveda, where she dedicated herself to honing her skills and graduated in 2020, well-prepared to make a meaningful difference. With comprehensive certifications in Laser Safety, Science, and Technology, SkinPen, and Dermaplane treatments, Erin has equipped herself with a robust skill set that aligns seamlessly with Alabama Vein and Restoration Medspa’s commitment to excellence. Sherry Lastrapes brings with her 24 years of experience in the medical field. Since graduating from Wallace Community College of Selma, she has fine tuned her skills and gained a wealth of knowledge/exposure in the areas of medical/surgical, plasmapheresis and cardiology, to name a few. Sherry has chosen to redirect her focus to providing excellent patient service. During her free time, she enjoys spoiling, playing, and relaxing with her miniature schnauzers. Also, she enjoys playing retro video games with her husband (Retired Navy Veteran).

Paola was born in Peru and her first language is Spanish. She graduated from the University of North Alabama with a bachelor degree in Computer Science. In her free time she likes going to coffee shops, traveling, and watching tv shows.

Morgan Brown is our newest member of our growing family at Alabama Vein. She is currently studying her undergrad in Health Service Administration at Auburn University. "War Eagle" -Morgan. When she is not hard at work she enjoys listening to lifestyle podcasts, long walks, and pilates. Health and fitness has inspired her to help others become the best version of themselves.
