48 Years Old and 208 Pounds 5'3 - Huntsville, AL

I had the surgery and have lost 28 pounds in 5 weeks. The lifestyle of changing your eating habits are a nightmare but I hope it gets better. It is a major lifestyle change. I probably could have lost this weight on my own, but I knew that I wouldn't. I had high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and many health issues. Insurance DID not pay even though I met the medical qualifications.

45 Yo, 198 Pounts, 3 Kids, Supportive Hubby - Huntsville, AL

I have been on this journey for over two years. I began researching two years ago and continually "chickened out." In the Spring 2015, I decided I was ready to commit and attended a seminar. I took my husband and he felt better. I have been approved by insurance and am just waiting for 1/4/16 to get here!

38 Yrs Old, One 13yr-old Son. Im in Need of a Change!!! - Huntsville, AL

I am a healthy (thank God) 38yr-old nursing student, full-time nurse assistant, and part-time vendor. I've always been a curvy girl, even at the size of 125lbs (years ago, lol), but now at 235lbs, things have gotten out of hand. Honestly, I don't have bad eating habits, and I do drink water, so at fist I couldn't figure out why I kept gaining weight. I mean, it didn't just show up, I remember going to the Dr. for a check-up and every time my weight would gradually go up, maybe just a few pounds at a time. In my opinion, I think I screwed up my metabolism by years of working third shift (7am-7pm). Considering I get off from work in the mornings, I usually go straight to sleep instead of eating breakfast, once I wake up I may eat lunch, and dinner later at work. Some nights, I don't even eat at work because I have already eaten so close to time for me to leave for work. So unless I consciously think about it, breakfast is null and void in my life. Not to mention, I do drink Mt, Dews at times (about 3x a wk). Since I work and attend college, I don't have the time to exercise the way I should because I always figure I could be studying. But in December, I'll be finished with nursing school (Yeah!!!!), so I won't have any excuse about exercising. I would love to get to 150lbs, that's my dream goal. Updated on 24 Aug 2014: I don't think I knew I was this big. That's ok, next year this time will be a different story. Updated on 28 Aug 2014: I'm so disappointed with myself today. I went for my 4 month checkup and I gained an additional 7 pounds, that makes a total of 19 pounds pounds that I have gained since I started going 4 months ago. I wonder has this happened to anyone else, is it a mind thing! Am i eating more and not realizing it because I know soon I won't be able to. I don't feel like I am I am but it's got to be something because I've never gained this much weight in such a short period Updated on 29 Jan 2015: Well I have finally taken my psych evualation, now awaiting approval through my insurance, Im sure it'll go through Updated on 24 Apr 2015: Well now I finally have a date, which is April 30th! I'm excited but I have to be on a liquid diet until then because I gained since I started the process. Also, I've ran into another problem, as of yesterday, I am unemployed but my insurance will take me through the end of the month. Can someone give me some info on what I should do for the insurance part
