Had a facelift and upper bleph ~ 4 months ago. Scars behind the ears are still red and very raised in portions with bands or tethering visible at the upper junction on both and also at the lower junction with scalp on one side. This is concerning because it is tender and obvious with a ponytail for work outs. (A) are these scars normal and (B) how can they be reduced? Also - have visible scars on upper eye lids, particularly where suture lines opened after suture removal. Attaching pics
I had two previous facelift procedures done (one in1998, incluiding a coronal brow lift, and a second one in 2002) with the same Dr. Excellent results with no scarring. In april 2014 had a third and deeper one (face SMAS, neck and endoscopic browlift) with different Dr. This time results are not so impressive. Endoscopic eyebrow lift dissapointing compared to coronal. Healing process was long with severe bruising (3 nights in hospital). Concerned about front scar on left ear. What can be done?
Immediatley after my face lift, my right ear felt like an elephant ear & not my own ear. My left ear, howevev, was just a bit numb. My left ear was fine and it retunred to normal within a few weeks. My right ear has improved (I can touch and bend the ear lobe again and it looks ok), but there is still numbness and pain. It has been 3.5 months since surgery. Is this normal? How do I know if my auricular nerve was cut/damaged?
I had a standard rhytidectomy, including the tightening of the underlying fascia and muscle and upper blepharoplasty 4.5 months ago. The board certified PS also injected some fat from my neck into the face. I have been experiencing a sensation of coldness (not to the touch of others, though), increased stinging throughout my cheeks, and a tight rubber band-like feeling under my chin and around the ears. Recently, I developed ringing in my ears and it feels like there is a stick in one. Please advise.
I had fl, nl & platysmaplasty 3.5 months ago. Had hematoma in neck which ps said didn't need treatment (other than massage after 3 wks) & would resolve by itself. No timescale given. Neck was swollen with hard lumps. Lumps have since softened, but neck still looks & feels horrible. Swelling comes & goes, sometimes firm, sometimes soft & flabby, with double-chin. Sometimes really tender. Are the blood clots still there? What is the swelling? Is it inflamed? Will there be internal scar tissue?
While my upper face looks great, the lower half is worse than before and my face looks distorted. I have a downturned mouth with little fatty masses either side that resembles marlon Brando in the godfather, I still have jowls, hollow cheeks and I have too much volume in my jawline. I am going to see him soon and hopefully he'll know what has gone wrong but I wanted to be armed with some second opinions.
