I’m one day post op from a breast reduction and I feel great! Dr Samson, Courtney and Alyssa were great every step of the way. I felt comfortable and at ease with barely any pain. I can’t wait until I can take the bandages off!
Dr. Samson did a breast augmentation for me in the summer of 2020 and the whole process and results surpassed my expectations. My case was purely cosmetic, but he made me feel like it was just as important as any other patient's. He really listened to what I wanted and also talked me out of going "too big," which I so appreciate in retrospect. I finally feel completely confident and happy with my figure! 10 out of 10 experience!
I could not ask for a better experience and a more caring team . I was referred to Dr. Samson by my breast surgeon Dr. Sharon Rosenbaum - Smith in January 2021 . I was eager to have my bilateral mastectomy as soon as possible out of fear that the malignant cancer cells would spread. .The consultation with Dr. Samson was reassuring because of his professionalism , lovely bedside manners and attention to detail . His excellent care and the confirmation that he would start the reconstruction ( the placement of expanders ) the same day as the mastectomy put me at ease . Trish , the PA is also amazing and very kind . But most importantly , today , less than one week after my second reconstructive (exchange surgery ) i could not be happier with my results . In a few month once my scars have faded and everything has settled Dr. Samson will put his final touch and construct my nipples . .I look forward to reporting about my final results after my final procedure . I am very happy and grateful for all the help and attention form Dr. Samson , Trish and Alyssa.
Dr. Samson is fantastic. He advocates for you as his patient, submits the information to insurance quickly, and if you have any questions he gets back with you quickly. Trish is extremely knowledgeable and decent and so is the receptionist Alyssa. They all respect you and care about your case. They are extremely professional. Additionally the results are fantastic, i got a reduction and it turned out exactly how Dr. Samson said it would. I'd recommend this office to anyone needing plastic surgery. They're great. Updated on 12 Apr 2022: Dr. Samson knows what he is doing for sure. He has a reputation for being meticulous however, you are going to pay a crazy amount for anesthesia if your insurance does not cover (both before and after the operation), a fee for lab results of breast tissue, fees for follow ups if the follow up is any more than a year out (of course they do not tell you that) and more fees and of course its all non negotiable. So if you want this surgery get ready to pay what seems like an endless amount of times. Quick and easy recovery physically, you are released the same day from the hospital which you can be at all day before you are operated on. When you go into his office, be very clear about what you want to have done. Dr. Samson is great, but the policies surrounding him administratively as far as the office and hospital where the surgery is done, are questionable.
Trish was extremely professional, kind, and educational. She took her time discussing my options, explaining everything she did along the way. Procedure was painless and I’m looking forward to seeing the results. The receptionist was lovely as well.
Dr. Samson performed a right breast reconstruction in two stages after mastectomy and a left breast lift. It took me a few extra conversations after the consultation to decide on it. It turned out to be the best choice I could have made in the given circumstances and the results confirmed it. Dr Samson is a professional which briefs you about the procedure in details, gives options with his best advice and then listens to you. He is dedicated, sincere, kind and genuinely compassionate setting up the doctor- patient relationship of trust, regard and loyalty. His knowledge, talent and skills are extraordinary. Dr Samson has a punctilious eye that can see exactly what the actual measurements will show, his work is impeccable. I see him more as an artist, a sculptor who works on real human bodies to provide encouragement and improved quality of life for us who suffered and survived cancer, chemos, radiations and mastectomies, delivering the sense of wholeness and well-being.
This doctor saved my life and brought back my confidence back! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. Dr.Samson is my plastic surgeon after bilateral mastectomy. He did my reconstruction. Amazing job that nobody believes that I am with implants. He is fantastic human being and helped me so much. He is my family now!
Very satisfied with my level of care Very professional Concerned with my pain level Gave great instructions for aftercare and follow up appointments Would highly recommend Dr. Samson for plastic surgery or reconstruction surgery.
Dr. Samson was recommended from my doc at Breast Link. This is my first I’m diagnosed with stage 0 DCIS. I was a bit uncomfortable when I first went for my consultation but when I met Dr. Samson I felt a relieved. He was very understanding. He explained in details everything that need to be done for my bilateral mastectomy. He gave the options and was very detailed. In this new times we are living in now Dr. Samson really made you feel comfortable. His staff is very courteous. Looking forward to be in his care until further.... Thank you Sharon Rosenbaum Smith from Breast Link for recommending Dr. Samson. Updated on 15 Feb 2021: Great office, I always have a wonderful and warm experience from start to finish with every office visit. I appreciate Dr. Samson taking time to go over the procedure clearly and answered all my concerns. I am looking forward to my final final results from my bilateral mastectomy reconstruction. I highly recommended Dr. Samson.
I had a pleasant experience with Dr Samson he was kind and companionate and listened to all my questions and answered all I never felt rushed or that he had to leave I would highly recommend him as a wonderful skilled doctor.
Thank you for your question. Of course, there is no substitute for a formal examination. Having said that, these photographs demonstrate substantial discrepancy in nipple height and areola diameter. There also appears to be a morphologic (shape) difference in the appearance of your breasts. The overall shape of the left breast seems satisfactory. I think you may be able to achieve her goals with a right mastopexy (breast lift). There may be some consideration for using a permanent suture material to control the diameter of the nipple areolar complex, once the entire nipple areolar complex has been repositioned into the appropriate location. This will likely be best achieved using a vertical scar technique. I've encouraged her to discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck, and I hope you've found this to be helpful.
I'm sorry that you are unhappy with the results of your breast reduction. Although there is no substitute for a thorough examination, it appears that there is some asymmetry in breast size and shape. In addition the scars appear somewhat widened, and in the lower portion of the right breast, the scar appears tethered. I think you have waited long enough to fully recover from surgery before contemplating any revision procedures. Thankfully, most of these issues can be well addressed with revision surgery. I would encourage you to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns.
Thank you for your question. Although I'm not aware of any data to suggest that smoking increases her risk of capsular contracture, there is lots of data demonstrating the adverse impact of nicotine on general health and well-being. It is very admirable that you are able to discontinue nicotine use during the perioperative period. Hopefully this can be the catalyst for more long term smoking cessation.
Thank you for your question. It seems that you are relatively satisfied with your current results albeit slightly larger than the usual would ideally desire. Your current breast implant is definitely on the larger size. You may benefit from downsizing your implant to something that you feel is more appropriate for your body frame. I would favor waiting until after pregnancy to do revision surgery, as breast lifts/mastopexy are sometimes required when substantially downsizing implants. This may also be necessary after pregnancies and breast-feeding. If you're definitely planning a pregnancy in the next six months, I would favor deferring surgery for later date. Of course, there is no substitute for a careful examination and discussion. I encourage you to meet with a trusted board certified plastic surgeon to discuss her concerns. I hope you find this helpful.
Thank you for your question. Although not very common, it is not unusual to have secondary growth spurts inured 20s. This can be associated with increase in breast size. It's important not to focus on the cup size, but rather the appearance of her breasts relative to the rest of her torso. Having said that, it is relatively safe to consider a secondary breast reduction. Ideally the surgeon performing this operation would know details of the prior procedure in order to ensure safe outcomes. There is a theoretic increased risk of firm scar tissue formation within the breast called fat necrosis when performing secondary breast reduction surgery. However, these risks are extremely low, particularly when many years have passed between primary and secondary reduction mammoplasty procedure. I would encourage you to have detailed conversations with a trusted board certified plastic surgeon. I hope you've found this to be helpful, and good luck.
