My story is similar to others here. I breastfed 2 kids and my breast is really saggy and empty. I was a 34b before kids but my breast never were really nice. My areolas were too big and the shape just not youthful. I was happy with the smaller size and with push up bras it always looked good. But after breast feeding my 2 kids my size is 34C but it does not fill out the top portion of the bra. Or 34B, but the empty skin is falling out........now that my little girl is almost 3, I'm ready for a lift. Dr Carter was referred by 2 moms I know, and I love their result. I was impressed with him on my consultation. I want a full C , as I'm only 5.3 ' and 113lb and have a small frame. When I breasted I was a full D, and really did not like it( hubby did ...lol). So I decided I go for a full C, and dr Carter totally agreed. Suggested 275 cc , silicon with a full lift. I have a little over a month to go, and getting really excited!! Get to choose the final size:))) Updated on 16 Mar 2012: 2 weeks and 6 days left till my surgery!!!!!! Super excited for my pre op on Monday!!!! Updated on 19 Mar 2012: Had my pre op today. Dr Carter and his nurse was so nice! Listened to me and answered all my question. He did all the measurement and we agreed on the size. 375cc or 400cc . He will have both on hand and will decide on spot to make sure that I achieve the full C size. Mentor smooth silicon mod high prof..... So excited !!! I am getting worried mostly about my children, I don't want them to see me sick and useless! I am also questioning myself if it's the right decision to do this operation.... My Mom had breast cancer at my age(36), lost one of her breast and went through chemo when I was only 10 years old. So I am really just doing this out of my vanity??? I feel so emotional and luckily my survivor Mom is my biggest supporter! Updated on 3 Apr 2012: 2 more days left till my surgery! Any advice on what to take with me to the hospital that is a must and you with you wish you had known??? Updated on 4 Apr 2012: I am so nervous!! I am a crazy woman today trying to sort out everything at work and home before my surgery! With 2 little kids its so hard. I can't wait to be over with it tomorrow.... I waited so long for this and it's unreal that tomorrow this time i have my boobs! I will update soon! Updated on 5 Apr 2012: I'm at the surgery center waiting to check in! I'm not as nervous as I thought I will be but I hardly slept and feel exhausted! Updated on 5 Apr 2012: So I did it!!! Everything went so smooth! Can hardly remember a thing, all I know that everyone was so nice to me! They kept me warm with warm blankets and socks the whole time and kept my pain under control after I woke up. I am so happy I told the anastegiologist my prone to get nausea and vomit. He gave me Valium to relax when I got there, then Zoftan on my IV for nausea before my surgery and he said he will give me something stronger as soon as I am about to wake up. Oh and a patch behind my ear. So I vas perfectly fine when I woke up. They gave me Percoset right away too, so I feel fine with no pain. I was able to talk to my PS and he said he ended up with 375CC on both side! I'm all bandage up but he pull it to peek and make sure its fine before I left the hospital. So I peeked too.... Lol it's swallen but I can see already that the size is perfect!!!! I'm loving them already! His wonderful assistant said they tried 400 but it would be too big! I have no drain , he said I didn't need to . I overall had a great experience an now let the healing begin!! Updated on 6 Apr 2012: I went to my post op this morning and got to take a peek as they changed my bandage! I was laying down but in my opinion it looked awesome ! My husband took a picture of it, I will put them up later on. I have minimal discomfort and feel great! Never got sick or nausea. Have not really had an appetite yet. My doc said not to take Percoset every 4 hours, try to space it out more. IDK... If I'm in pain I am takin it!! Updated on 7 Apr 2012: 2nd day post op. I am trying not to take my Percoset every 4 hours, as I don't want to sleep all day. Instead taking Tylenol. So far Im ok, not saying I'm pain free but better than yesterday. My boobs feel huge and rock hard. My neck sore and under arm too. Got a little appetite but still not much, just drinking all day. Today is a hard day. Hope it gets better soon! Updated on 8 Apr 2012: Post op day 3: I had a good sleep, still taking Percoset but try to space it out. I still have 4 pills left and hope I won't need it after its gone. My boobs still feel hard and sore. I have an appt tomorrow , hope to get a better picture what I look like. Right now I'm still all bandage up and my sports bra is taped down, doc said absolutely can't take it off till he say so! I have no idea what size I became with 375 cc, but I think its a D right now! Updated on 8 Apr 2012: This is the only picture I can update, I was laying down one day post op, my hubby took the picture. Updated on 9 Apr 2012: 4 days post op. I woke up miserable today. I took a perc last night and all was good, but this morning ... Oh boy.... My back and neck still hurts after 4 days. My boobs feel hard and heavy and the scars starts to itch. Also has a huge headache . I took 2 extra strength Tylenol , let's see if that helps. I have a checkup in the afternoon with the PS. Updated on 9 Apr 2012: All went fine at my 4 day post op. His nurse said that's the worst day. Most people stop the Percosets which has the down affect and when I take it I feel so good and calm and sleepy. Today I have not taken it, I'm not so much sore but rather irritated and uncomfortable . Doc said to take tylenol pm to sleep , I will wake much better ! I can't wait for the stitches to come out and able to shower and sleep on my side again!! Updated on 11 Apr 2012: 6 days post op.... The stitches finally came out and now I have the steri strips on for 5 days. I a really happy with the results. It is still swollen, especially on the sides and bruised too. I have to start massaging them so they can move around and drop. Today I`m feeling much better, I glad I still have 4 days to rest before I go back to work! Updated on 15 Apr 2012: 10 days post op. Back to work tomorrow:((( Everything ok so far, no pain pills needed. I still have steri strips and it's pretty much same looking as a week ago. My incisions are sensitive and my boobs still super hard. I'm doing my massage 3 times a day...., the only thing bothers me really right now is that in the middle of my chest where the boobs meet, my skin is extremely itching! It drives me nuts! I wonder if anyone had this problem! Updated on 18 Apr 2012: I had my 2 weeks PO today..... Steri strips change, my doc wants me to keep it on. I have no idea till when, but I have to go back next Wed. for my 3 weeks PO. He told me still take it easy, no heavy lifting no sleeping on my side no soaking in water. I looked at my insision and it looks great. Little red but that's it. He won't allow me to wear any other bra than he gave me(the barely there bra on the picture here) and only in white. No colored ones for now because of the dye in there could go into the skin if I sweat and discolor my scar..... Interesting.... My PS is little strict on me and want to see me every week till 2 months.... He is great at follow up care I have to say! I'm so glad I picked him!! Updated on 18 Apr 2012: Also I feel great, other than the itching between the boobs in the middle of my chest. The insision sore a bit and sensitive! I massage them 3 times a day and they finally starting to soften! Overall loving my boobs! They look great in clothes, and without clothes too! Updated on 19 Apr 2012: 2 weeks pictures update. Not seeing too much difference but its sorter an moves a little, not so stiff... Updated on 26 Apr 2012: Today 3 weeks post op, had my doctor visit yesterday and the steri strips are gone. Until now I had very little discomfort but since the strips are off I feel more sensitive and the scars are sore. My boobs softening up but my left is a little harder than the right one. My skin must have stetched out because that tigh feeling and horrible itchiness is gone and the skin feels nice and soft. It also dropped and don`t look like torpedo boobs anymore. Now I have to continue my massages but with lotions to keek the scars moist all the time so the scars won`t open up. I just use the vaseline aloe brand the cocoa butter is too greasy and sticky for me. I can`t start any scar therapy yet per doctor`s order . I see him in 3 weeks for my 6 weeks PO....I am really happy and so glad I did it. OHH and one more thing, that cute barely bra I`ve been wearing until now, I don`t feel the comfort anymore. Now that my breasts dropped I feel like I need more support so I got a cotton sports bra that has lots of support and holds me together! I have no idea of my current size, I suggest it`s a full D. I only wanted a full C but so glad it turned out a little bigger.... Updated on 3 May 2012: 4 weeks post op today. I noticed yesterday that I have a sore spot under the creast line. I looked and a suture is sticking out and it's a little swallen and red around the skin . It looks like fishing thread. Then I look around other areas and I find one more, same looking but no redness. Then there is another one that is thick thread and white looks like regular cotton thread rolled together.... Now I'm freaked out!!!! I will call my PS this morning as soon as they open!! Updated on 3 May 2012: Ok, I call my PS office about the sutures and they told me to come in as soon as I can. Do I went in right away and he took them out with a tweezers. I swear I didnt feel a thing only on the one that was red and swallen. Just a little pinch. I asked them if I can do it at home and he said he prefers to do it himself so no. I feel better if he does it anyways... Told me its normal , and he used 3 kinds of thread to saw me up. So that's why one is cotton looking the other is plastic looking.... Updated on 8 May 2012: Almost 5 weeks PO! My implants basically softened and fluffed the last week.... My skin is softened up and lost that tightness. My implant is moving around nicely and dropped a bit. A few days ago I started to feel the bottom fold of the implant in my breast fold only in the inside of the breast. It's real weired, if I tighten up and push up the skin I can see the folds too...The implant is weighting on the skin but I can't see it only feeling it. I heard of rippling of the implant so I hope that's not what it's going on.... Have any of you guys feeling the same thing! I will address it next week on my 6 week follow up! I will post some pictures too, not looking much different than at 3 weeks. Updated on 15 May 2013: Finally had my capsular removed yesterday. Everything went great , my new doctor and staff were awesome. He did some fat grafting around the both implant to prevent future capsular to develop. He did a lipo on me , that was a real bonus. I'm pretty in shape . 5.4 and 112 lb, but after the kids were born got some flanks on my waist , inner knee area and inner thigh fat. I didnt let him touch my belly, I can always sculp that with Pilates and exercise. Also revised my original lift, tucked it up a bit to make it fuller and added some fat on top and inside of breast. I have sports bra and gauze on so can't see the results. Also compression garment for the lipo, and I took that off while going to bathroom . Omg, my love handles are gone! My inner thigh is swallen still but I'm sure I'll have good results there too. The main thing tho is for the capsular not to return, so fingers crossed. As soon as garments off I'll post pictures. Updated on 30 May 2013: My revision was 2 weeks ago. Removed capsular on my right breast and fat transfer on both breast. Implants were not changed. Both of my breast is soft now, fingers crossed. Insision almost completly healed after revision. Brused still from the lipo on inner thigh. Updated on 20 Aug 2015: Capsular on my right breast is back again. I need a revision on that one breast but I really want to go smaller in size and go under the muscle instead of over to see if that would solve the problem . I can't afford it right now so just have to wait till next year. I don't know what causes it but the first time I was going thu divorce and the second time a horrible break up . I really think its combinaton of being prone to it and stress.....
