Even though I had this done today, I am very comfortable with how things are progressing with my recovery. I won't know yet how well it will work for me personally, but I feel very hopeful. The procedure went smoothly and exactly as I expected based on prior research. The doctor amd his staff are all very friendly. Dr. Carter has excellent bedside manner and was able to put me at ease. I will definitely go back to his office for other cosmetic services such as botox and seriously considering 'vanquish ME.' I've even got my husband interested in checking out what's available for him there :) Overall, great experience and I will recommend to anyone who will listen to me!! Updated on 10 Apr 2021: I feel almost no soreness amd swelling has almost completely subsided. I have not sweat at all. There is a little redness that hasn't completely cleared and some random lumps. I am more than happy with my results. If I have to get the second round, I would not hesitate at all. Updated on 30 Apr 2021: Pretty much back to normal besides some small lumps that are sore if pushed on. That bruise is unrelated to the procedure. Sweating significantly reduced, but not completely eliminated. I may consider a second treatment. I'm undecided as of now. Will see if sweating level stays the same or increases. I have not tested antiperspirant yet. I generally use lume even after the miradry to completely eliminate any possible odor from what little sweating I do have at the moment... odor from bacteria digesting body fluids/skin cells/sweat not from the odor glands that are removed.
I am not aware of any reason to be concerned about a pregnancy following a SculpSure treatment. It is not recommended that SculpSure be done upon a woman who is known to already be pregnant.
Since the regions being treated with SculpSure and Velashape are different, I see no conflict in doing the two different procedures as close together as you would like. Regarding the Velashape spacing between treatments, I would favor following the clinic's recommendations as they apparently have had the best results with those spacing parameters.
If your second SculpSure treatment is in a different region of the body than your first treatment, then the subsequent treatment can be done at any time. If the second treatment is in the same area as the first, then the company strongly recommends at least six weeks of time between treatments. Because the maximal benefit usually will not occur until 12 weeks after any given treatment, I favor waiting until 10-12 weeks have passed before a subsequent SculpSure treatment in the same area.
SculpSure six months postpartum may well be a good way to help achieve a more rapid return to your pre-pregnancy body shape. Generally, it takes a woman one to two years to gradually return to her pre-baby body form. A healthy diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep are all important aspects of this process as well. However, achieving all of these objectives with a newborn or young child can be problematic for sure! By all means discuss your objectives with a local provider and map out a plan.
You meet the company's suggested criteria of having a BMI of less than 30. Your calculated BMI is 25.5 based upon your given height and weight. However, which approach would be best suited to you and your situation would depend upon many factors among which are: How severe your double chin is, respective cost to you in your region of the country, your tolerance for "down time," and how quickly you desire a given result. Let me suggest you meet with two or three practitioners and discuss the pros and cons of each approach for your particular circumstances.
