I went to Right Choice Dental after a year of trying to get my dentures to stay in. I had a fall at work which damaged my front teeth. I could not keep these in to save my life even with an adhesive I have never been so depressed until I had no teeth in my mouth my self esteem was 0. I had been told my only option was dental implants but the cost was a small fortune in my town. So I found Right Choice Dental on the web and Dr. Long called me right back and what she quoted me is what I paid. I am on my trial set of bridges and I am so happy to wake up with teeth in my mouth kiss my wife answer the door or go out in public. I feel like a new man. Its not cheap to have the implants done but so far I am very pleased. Thanks Tanya and David
I needed a few implants to replace missing teeth. Money was a big factor for me, and Dr Long's price, at the time, was less than ½ the cost of my local dentists. I was so pleased with Dr. Long's skill in placing the implants, that I opted for a complete redo of all my upper teeth in order to fix my underbite condition. That involved putting new crowns on all my upper teeth, which changed the way they meet my lower teeth. This went according to plan, but it did take me more than a year to get used to my new bite. I would bite my tongue and sometimes my cheek accidentally. Overall, I am pleased with the workmanship and value provided by Dr. Long. David, Dr Long's husband, actually crafts the crowns in the next room, and also acts as a dental assistant, which in my opinion is not such a good thing. He is obviously a skilled technician, with many years experience. But, I found it a bit unnerving that, as an assistant, he would get a bit hyper, try to take over and tell Dr. Long how to do her job. He also is a bit too rough when his big fingers are in your mouth, he just doesn't have the delicate touch, like his wife. It's not so bad that you should avoid their office, but just a "heads up" so you won't be surprised. Together they make a great team, but I think it would make for a much better patient experience if they hired an assistant for Dr Long, and kept David in the lab until his opinion was needed (and then send him right back to the lab again). Updated on 29 Oct 2016: UPDATE: It has been almost 4 years now since getting the implants from Dr. Long. I still am very happy with the results. Having good teeth and the option to eat any food I desire is a real plus. I have also been having the very best dental check-ups of my life, having NO cavities or problems. Having good teeth has helped me to take much better care of them, with daily brushing and flossing and using cavity fighting mouthwash. If you are thinking about getting implants, I highly recommend calling David or Dr. Long.
I just walked out of my dentist office with a beautiful smile. Dr. long of Jeffersonville In did the All on 4 procedure, I received 4 implants on top and 4 on bottom. David Long creats nothing short of amazing works of art, right down to every detail including gums so real looking nobody would ever know they are not your real teeth! My experience with this husband and wife team was professional yet comfortable you can tell they truly enjoy their work and make you feel like family. I have never regretted my decision to travel from Florida to Indiana and would encourage anyone considering this procedure to see this team!!! You won't be sorry. Updated on 15 Jan 2014: It has been 6 weeks since my surgery and I still love my new teeth, I have had no problems and have adapted to my teeth very well. I can eat without any problems and still love my results.
I'e lost almost all of my upper teeth over the last 65 years and am going to replace 6 to 8 upper front teeth. I previously had a 1 piece bridge/crown which never really would stay connected to what was left of my remaining teeth. I finally gave up, had the 6 teeth stubs pulled, and am making arrangements to have the implants done. I've been quoted $998.00 per tooth for all three components for regular implants at the Right Choice Dental Implant Center, Jeffersonville, Indiana by Dr. Tanya Long. She previously practiced in Louisville, Ky. as the 4th Street Dental Spa in Louisville and is a graduate og U of L Dental School. This is literally thousands per tooth less than all the Dentist's reviews here have estimated. Basically, from what I've learned from reading of others experiences here on the net and from my own personal experience, I feel most Dentists doing implements today and medical professionals in general are, what I can only describe as, fleecing their patients with grossely inflated prices. They do business more like used car salesmen than professionals. Frankly, it is not that difficult to view the broader medical community overall from the drug companys to most medical professionals in the same manner. And then their is the case for the billions being scammed from Medicare by the medical community. It's just a fact. If they are scamming medicare I.E., their government, what do you think they are doing to the average guy and gal walking into their office everyday. I'm hoping I've found the exception in Dr. Long, to the not so golden rule, that way to many, so called, Medical Professionals live by. I'll come back after the implant procedure is actually done to let you know. Updated on 16 Feb 2013: I was originally scheduled for the 7 abutments and crown install Feb. 19, 2013 but was pleasently surprised with a call from Dr. Long informing me I could come in on Friday the 15 th. of Feburary instead which I jumped on. She installed the abutments and crowns with her husband David who did the lab work assisting throughout the whole process. My new teeth are absolutely works of art giving me my smile back not to mention the ability to chew and eat effectively again. At this point I could not be more happy. If things go south with the implants I'll come back and report that as well. As for DONNA above, I can only say that, yes, she obviously works in the FIELD and has been brainwashed by others in her field who are in the business of fleecing their patients. C SCAN DONNA-really ! Considering that Jeffersonville is just accross the river from Louisville, Ky. it's rather obvious that Dr. Long has rained on the parade of others in DONNA"S field around Louisville and elsewhere and, as a matter of fact, Dr. Long, I believe, has actually revieved what can only be described as HATE calls and/or letters from other in DONNA'S field. Like DONNA, I also hope I'm happy in 20 years. Hell, I hope I'm alive in 20 years given I'm 65 now. But what I really hope is that DONNA become more well informed and stops defending a seriously flawed Dental community. What is really sad is that people like myself have to travel hundreds of miles or even leave the country to be able to afford dental services which should be available anywhere in a country like the U.S.A. instead of being RIPPED OFF by those like DONNA and her peers. It is high time for change in all the medical professions and I'm not talking about OBAMA CARE either but that a whole other nightmare I won't bore you with if you haven't already figured it out for yourself. Do your homework, which is what I did, instead of spending $20,000 to 50,000 for what I recieved for $7,000. the other $714.00 was for some bone scrapping and a temp partial plate. Bottom line I paid $995.00 per implant and could not be happier. I will tell you I'm 6 foot tall, weigh 220 lbs and have jaw bone structure like a 120 lb. pit bull so I did not need some of the extras some people might require like sinus augumentation etc. As I stated earlier I needed some bone scrapped away. Actually, I did not have to have it done but choose to. By the way, If I didn't mention it earlier, I live in Florida but am from Ky. and stay with my mom when I come to see Dr. Long but it only costs me $47.00 to fly from Orlando to Lexington if I fly on Mondays with Allegiant Air. I don't know what it would cost to actually fly into Louisville but it is probably comperable.
I think the price you are quoted is a little on the high end but prices fluctuate from one region of the country to another. All on 4 upper and lower for patients currently in dentures is $23990 in my office. This includes CBCT scan, 3D printed surgical guides, Surgical placement of 8 implants, temp bridges and permanent Zirconia bridges.
All titanium implants used in the USA are good implants no matter who makes them. They all have to meet the same FDA requirements. Only difference is design and picking the right implant for the case. A grade 5 bolt from Lowes is the same as a grade 5 bolt from Home Depot. The real importance is using all the technology available and the proper planning and placing of the implants.
You need a CBCT scan and 3D planning to know how much available healthy bone. Make sure you choose a Doctor who uses all the technology available and uses 3D guided surgery.
Sounds like the implant is already infected and needs to be removed and the bone repaired. Did you have a CBCT scan and a 3D printed guide made before surgery? You should never have an implant placed without guided surgery to avoid these dangerous complications.
Cost of All-on-4 full arch dental implants with a Prettua zirconia bridge is $9995 in my office.
