I had hereditary drooping eyelids. On both eyes my peripheral vision was impacted so much that I "failed" the test and insurance covered the cost. (although I would have paid anyway). Had minimal bruising (a small red/purple spot no larger than a pencil eraser under one eye). I wore glasses and pretty much nobody noticed the stitches etc. Came out on their own after about 2 weeks. I know have a tiny white line. Not noticeable unless you look for it.
