After 7 days, all scabs are removed. Slight redness may still exist in recipient area for a few days to a couple weeks. If you have done the strip method, at this point after the scabs are gone, you look like you did before the procedure. If you did the ARTAS System FUE Robot, you would be at the same place as the strip, with the exception you are still growing hair back in the donor area. With the FUE procedure the donor area has to be shaved. In most cases hair in the donor area will completely grow back within 4 weeks.
We make sure all of our procedures are virtually painless. With the ARTAS System FUE the recovery is quick and very little discomfort the day after the procedure, mainly due to the fact there is no suture in the scalp. The wounds are closed the next day and hair starts growing in the donor area immediately.
