Let me start by saying I have had 4 kids and have fluctuated in weight a couple times throughout my life. I a go to gym and lift a few times a week. I enjoy lifting heavy and working on muscle definition. When I decided to get a BA I scheduled a few consults. But after meeting Dr. Davis, I cancelled the others. You could tell he was very knowledgeable when speaking with him. I felt very comfortable, as did my husband. We just knew he was going to be our doctor. After going through all the pros and cons, we decided to go over the muscle since I do I work out a lot and I didn’t want my boobs to look funny when I flex. I have pretty strong and thick chest muscles. Besides that we discussed a donut lift and where we make the incisions. I didn’t know the size of my breast until after surgery but he was well aware of what my “dream” boobs were. And the look I was going for. Well it’s been 12 weeks and I couldn’t be happier!! I love my new boobs. My husband loves them as well. At times I do wish they were closer, but that’s my natural anatomy - which is what I wanted. lol. My recovery was very easy and I followed all post op instructions carefully as I didn’t want to risk anything. It’s hard being limited in upper body for weeks but was well worth it!! One thing I wasn’t prepared for was the post surgery bloat!! I gained 5-7 pounds of water weight and was super bloated. But after about two weeks it disappeared. I am 5’7.5 and 129lbs (13-13.5) with a pretty wide chest. I ended up doing a donut lift with 405cc Mentor Moderate Plus Extra.
Dr Davis is amazing! Comforting and honest about surgery from start to finish. He knows what will look the best for your body - I trust him 1000%. His office staff is top notch and readily available to answer any questions.
Dr. Davis has been great. We decided on doing lipo instead of a tummy tuck. In addition to the abdomen lipo we are doing lipo on my hips, arms, inner/outer thighs/full back and bra line. I hope to see a significant reduction in overall mass and improved shaping/contouring. I hope to be as beautiful on the outside as I feel on the inside! Updated on 2 Jun 2014: I am so excited for my lipo on Friday! Only 4 days left!!! I am starting to get a little nervous, hoping I get the results I have envisioned for myself. I'm not quite sure how I am going to pull off wearing this CG for the next 4 weeks in the summer as it sounds like it will cover my arms, body and thighs. I ordered the vitamins many of you have recommended and will be taking them starting tomorrow. I have my bandaids and miscellaneous supplies ready to go…is there anything else you can think of that I may not be thinking of that I will need? Updated on 8 Jun 2014: Had lipo on 6/6 so I am 2 days post op. The ride home from the surgery was horrid! Upon getting home I was in the worst pain of my life, mostly in my abdomen and thighs…no pain to my arms. Day 1 got a little better, today is day 2 and I am able to move around more get in and out of bed easier. I haven't been able to see any of the areas as they are covered in foam and ace bandages. I have my post op visit 6/11 with my PS and he will remove my foam and put me into my CG. He decided not give me the CG upon surgery because he felt there would be too much drainage. I am starting to see bruising on my back. Swelling is all over my body, I am hoping to move around more tomorrow and help some of the swelling dissipate. I am taking my pain meds every 4 hours as instructed. Updated on 9 Jun 2014: Feeling much better today!!! I can definitely see that my arms are smaller and I am super excited! Haven't been able to see much else because of all of the foam. My post op visit with my PS in Wednesday and I cannot wait to see what magic he has created for me :) Updated on 9 Jun 2014: Finally felt ok enough to snap some pics. Updated on 27 Apr 2015: Results were awesome, some slight unevenness in the flank area but we are working to balance it all out. Hands-down best decision I have ever made! I know I'm late updating these pics but I hope you find them of value as you make your decisions. Updated on 27 Apr 2015: Another up close pic - taken July 19th (approx 2.5 moths post op)
I've had dark circles under my eyes since high school. I was in having restylane done on my marionette lines & my PS recommended having small amounts of the restylane injected. He went from the tear trough to almost the end of the eye. I'm going back to have under the outside corners of my eyes injected in 2 weeks time. It didn't hurt, just a tiny little pinch. The change is MAJOR and I'm so happy! Merry Xmas to me!
Had procedure done 3 yrs ago (55 y.o.) and had fantastic results. The only thing I was sure about was I wanted silicone, approx cc range & that I wanted to resemble my female relatives who had naturally gorgeous breasts. Just before surgery my doctor came in the room with 2 suitcases full of different implants. On impulse, I said "you're the expert & you know what I want. You determine what would be best for me". Check out current photo. Updated on 26 Nov 2013: I used Dr. Steven Davis of Cherry Hill, NJ. He's on Route 70 by Springfield Road. If you google him you'll see he's on all the national news shows including Dr. Oz, etc. Updated on 27 Nov 2013: /Users/patriciahicks/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Modified/2013/Nov 25, 2013/IMG_0614.jpg Updated on 27 Nov 2013: /Users/patriciahicks/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Modified/2013/Nov 25, 2013/IMG_0614.jpg Updated on 29 Nov 2013: After I got the go-ahead to toss away those post-surg bras, my PS recommended I stick to bras with NO underwire. Best advise he ever gave me. Calvin Klein makes a great one #F2481 (I needed 34D) and also Barely There makes one with no seams you'll never even realizing you're wearing #X59 (Its not very low cut, great for T shirts or running errands or doing stuff around the house). I've had lip fillers/augmentation multiple times over the last 4 years. I'm very happy with the results. I definitely prefer Restylane to Juvederm. I think Juvederm is bumpier. Anyway, the Restylane lasts for what seems like forever. I actually have Restylane in my upper lip still, from 2 years ago, if you can believe that. So, the only downside of lip filler is the cost. It costs me $725 every time I go. But then again, I really only have to go once a year, so in the grand scheme of things, that's not that much. I use Dr. Steven Davis in Cherry Hill, NJ. He's very patient and skilled. I wouldn't go to anyone else for this. That being said, I'm trying to gear away from the filler now, because I really just want to get a lip lift to achieve the same or better results that I've been getting from the filler. I was trying to compensate in my upper lip for the long distance between my nose and upper lip. It's not a perfect result, because while it makes my lip appear a little "higher," it also pushes it out, and gives me the slight duck appearance that you hear about. Anyway, if anyone has any questions about lip filler, ask away. It doesn't hurt going in, except for any occasional pinch as the numbing wears off. But it's a really fast procedure, takes less than 30 mins.
I went to Dr. Davis for a BBL. Keep in mind, I am a man, and you don't hear about lots of men having BBLs. Nevertheless, Dr. Davis made me feel comfortable, the procedure was nicely priced, and thought he understood my desires during the consultations. The day of the surgery, everything went well. Specifically, I felt minimal pain & anxiety. Further, Dr. Davis' bedside manner was amazing. However, following the surgery, while my stomach looked ok, I noticed my buttock looked more flat & square and my love handles were even more visible. I tried sharing my concerns with Dr. Davis. He stopped responding after the initial follow-up appointment, though. Now, I feel incredibly self-conscious and in the process of saving for a corrective BBL. I honestly wish I had chosen another Doctor. You live and you learn, though.
Absolutely terrible experience! Came in for a consultation for a lipo and breast lift. Mentioned that I would also like to take care of a tiny pouch under my chin. Dr Devis right away sold me on Kybella. Told me it would be one time charge of $800 and should right away take care of everything. Did not tell me anything about this procedure, did not go into any details, nothing. Like an idiot I paid $800 and had it done. Next month was hell, my chin tripped in size and made me look 5 times fatter and older. I called and email multiple times asked if this is normal. Two months later at the appointment instead of offering some sort of a resolution I was offered another shot of Kybella for another $800! Maybe that was for a better because I canceled my expensive lipo procedure and decided to look for another doctor who will see me as a person and not a wallet with $$$.
A year after my BBL and I’m still frustrated about the $$$ I wasted on this with NOTHING to show for it. Dr. was so positive about how amazing my results would be and that everything would come out fantastic with no sagging skin and a completely new smaller waist line. Never saw it...my thighs still rub, back and oblique fat still there and worst of all my butt is no rounder or filler than before. My jeans and pants still fit the same. I tried to talk to him several times about my disappointment but I never felt he cared about doing anything to fix his work or satisfy me, his patient. Got to a point where he wouldn’t return my calls so I just gave up. I would never recommend him for this procedure. Should have gone to Miami and paid less than half his price. It’s a real embarrassing experience, a total let down and waste of money. I had high hopes but I live with the heaviness of the huge disappointment everyday instead of the satisfaction of great results.
I can't wait to say goodbye to this flat butt square body. I am super nervous and excited all at the same time ....I will keep you updated. Should anyone have any helpful information on what to expect please comment. I am 5ft 4.5 inches and currently weigh 175lbs. I love the fact that I will be having my surgery right at Kennedy Hospital in Cherry Hill, that is so convenient. Updated on 5 Nov 2014: Only 9 days to go.....bloodwork is done, I have picked up all of my prescriptions now I just need to get some loose fitting clothes for afterwards....Please help with a list of things I may need. I am so excited and anxious, can't stop thinking about it.
First make sure that you really need a full Tummy Tuck! Nowadays there are a lot of ways to make your abdomen look more slim and tighter without a conventional "tummy tuck." Radio Frequency devices and special suturing techniques may be what's more appropriate for you. A small skin incision where your c-section scar is located is also a much easier option.
