Exceptional Doctor with professional bedside mannerism! Office and Surgical staff was very kind, friendly an helpful. I am so pleased that he was able to fix my breasts due to "double bubble" appearance on both breasts. I've had two previous failed revisions (by other Plastic Surgeons) I also have done alot of research and was recommended to him. He put new implants in, had an eyelift and a revisioned abdominoplasty. Wow I am so happy of the results 3 months out!!! Thank you so much and I will definitely recommend you and see you again. Dr. Jacobson, you ROCK!!!
Dr. Jacobson did an incredible job on my plastic surgery procedures. It is life changing what he did for me and even better than what I expected. He was attentive, explained the surgical procedure fully and listened to my goals for surgery and any concerns I had. Dr. Jacosbson and his staff are friendly and very professional. They discussed the entire process and answered all my questions. They were easy to contact if anything came up. I would highly recommend Dr. Jacobson for any plastic procedure. His results are the BEST!!
I had an exceptional experience with Dr Jacobson and his wonderful staff. He made me feel completely comfortable and listened to me while I explained how I was feeling. We scheduled surgery and it went better than great. Recovery has been great and I am now three months out and feel like a new me. I can’t thank him enough for skill and wonderful personality.
I am so happy with the results of my procedure with Jacobson Plastic Surgery! I had a breast augmentation and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), as well as liposuction to balance it out. Dr Jacobson was so warm and welcoming and he and his staff made me feel relaxed and secure through the whole process. My goal was to look natural, just better. They exceeded my expectations. The results are amazing and my self-confidence is so much higher. Every morning when I get ready for the day I am so grateful I made this decision and that Dr Jacobson really listened to what I wanted the outcome to be. I wish I would have done this sooner! Thank you Dr Jacobson!
I can't believe the results are as natural and beautiful as they are! I was so worried that the scars around my ears would be noticeable and you can barely see them 3 1/2 weeks post op. Dr. J's stitching was an art in itself. I look 10 years younger with my jowls and loose neck are gone! I love how natural my improvements look. I did extensive research regarding a neck lift and facial fat transfer before I chose Dr. J to do my procedure. Driving out of state to get a Dr. I felt comfortable with and trusted from the minute I did a consult with him was well worth it. Dr. J explained everything to me regarding the procedure and the process and what to expect. His office and staff in Rochester along with the surgical center in Plymouth were warm and inviting. Lacy, Alli, and the nurses, PA, and Chad the anesthesiologist at the surgical center where all caring and reassuring as well. Dr. J and the staff also included my husband in the whole process too. It was great because when we got home and I was very swollen he reassured me by saying "Remember what Dr. Jacobson told you? Remember what Ali said? This is all normal in the healing process." :) Another aspect of Dr. J's office that I was so impressed with was the continued support before and after my procedure. I was able to text/call Lacy or Alli anytime pre op or post op to answer my million questions. They were so open to my correspondence before surgery that it took a lot of the anxiety off before my procedure. Dr. J even text me several times after the procedure to see how I was doing and answer any questions that I had. It only took 2 weeks for the majority of the swelling to go down. I had a little bruising on my lower lip and cheek from about 2 1/2 weeks from the fat transfer but since I wear a mask out nobody was the wiser. I have a hard time not stopping when I see myself in a mirror now. I can't believe what wonderful work Dr. Jaacobson does. He is a true artist! I am so grateful that I chose Dr. Jacobson and his staff to perform my procedure and I highly recommend him for yours!
Full 5 star experience. I've been unhappy with the extra skin on my mid section for quite a while. Finally decided to do something about it and met with Dr. Jacobson for consult. He was thorough in going over options and I decided on the tummy tuck. I wish I would have done this sooner. Had the procedure 4 weeks ago and I can already tell that the outcome is better than I could have ever imagined! Lacey is an absolute doll, the nurses treat you like a queen and Dr. Jacobson is top notch!
My experience with Dr. Jacobson and his wonderful staff far exceeded my expectations! I am absolutely thrilled with the results of my lower face lift and neck lift~ I was certainly anxious, as I had never had any type of surgery before, but was quickly put at ease. Dr. J. gave a detailed explanation and exuded a quiet confidence, that clearly demonstrated his level of expertise. The entire process from start to finish was seamless. His Rochester office was so convenient and the surgery center in Burnsville was comfortable, well organized, and the staff there were all warm and friendly. I had little downtime- after 2 weeks I was back to work, and the healing process went very smoothly. Now, 6 weeks post-surgery, I look like me, but an improved version of me! I highly recommend this talented surgeon!!! And will definitely be referring friends and family.
I just reached the 5 month mark since gynecomastia surgery with Dr. Jacobson. My only regret is that I didn't take this step years earlier. After 30+ years of agonizing over this condition I finally decided to get something done about the problem. I scheduled a liposuction gynecomastia procedure with a different surgeon in early December. The initial consultation had been virtual because of COVID. When I arrived for the procedure the surgeon realized that my condition was far more severe than he realized, therefore, he couldn't perform lip on me. Instead he referred me to Dr. Jacobson. Dr. Jacobson scheduled a face-to-face consultation with me within a week and I was scheduled for surgery a few days later. The results have been nothing short of amazing. I now have a textbook male chest with no extra skin or sagging. I initially questioned where he planned to locate the incisions - it is different from all the readings I had done on the procedure - but he was absolutely correct. After just 5 months the incision marks (I can't really even call them scars) are almost completely invisible. I expected "good" results. I got "incredible" results. The rest is up to me. Now, with a little more diet and exercise I'll have the upper body I didn't think was ever possible.
Dr. Jacobson is everything you want in a plastic surgeon. He is kind, attentive, honest and highly skilled. I consulted with three other plastic surgeons around the Twin Cities before choosing Dr. Jacobson and am very pleased with my choice. Some of the things that made an impact for me were: 1. Knowledge - he is highly trained and has decades of experience both on the trauma side as well as cosmetic. Not only does he have the credentials with multiple board certifications but he also gives back by providing training and teaching to others. 2. Personable - sometimes highly skilled can bring about an arrogance but not with Dr. Jacobson. In fact he was one of the most humble doctors I met with. He talked through every question I had and provided great research, insight and guidance all while making me feel heard and understood. I never felt dumb asking a question and he provided very honest research and analytics that went into his opinions, but ultimately wanted my decisions to be mine and make sure I felt comfortable with everything. You can tell he takes great care in his patients and will be honest about what can be achieved. You can also tell he loves his family and takes great pride in them as much as his work. It is refreshing to find this balance and I had the utmost trust in him with my procedure. 3. Skill - I am thrilled with the outcome of my BA. Dr. Jacobson achieved exactly what I asked for. One of the reasons I picked him is because he has taken the time to be skilled in doing both over and under the muscle BA. Many of the plastic surgeons I researched and met with only do under, as more of a default, but Dr. Jacobson does both and bases what he ultimately does on the individual and their anatomy and what they want to achieve, not on his personal preference of surgery. This was a big deal to me as there are pros and cons to each placement and his ability to talk me through them and provide honest feedback on both allowed me to pick the option that was best for my goals (over the muscle). Having this versatility is a quality I will always look for in plastic surgeon. Staff - Dr. Jacobson’s staff is equally kind and helpful. I worked directly with Lacey on booking all appointments and setting up my surgery and she was so helpful and pleasant and made the whole experience easy. She was a great resource to ask questions to and both she and Dr. Jacobson made themselves available via text anytime needed, even after surgery. I had questions and concerns during my healing (all were normal) and both were accessible and available to answer them all and set up additional appointments even via zoom when needed. I was also very impressed with how much time Dr. Jacobson took to meet with me. It wasn’t his staff doing the consult or intake, it was all him. I know his time is valuable so it made me feel extra cared for that he was the one walking me through everything and shows he truly cares about his patients. Accommodations - my surgery was at the surgery center in Burnsville. It was accessible and easy to check into and out of and the staff there was also very kind. Being a shared surgery center for other things it was perhaps a little busier than plastic surgeons that do the surgery in their private offices but for me that was okay with the added peace of mind if something went wrong I was connected to a hospital where I could get immediate attention. Obviously nothing went wrong though. :) But it being my first surgery like this the added peace of mind was nice. As someone who did a great deal of research both on BAs as well as potential plastic surgeons, I can perhaps save you some trouble by highly recommending Dr. Jacobson and his team to anyone looking to get a BA. At minimum, you should meet with him in your journey as a consideration when comparing. :) I will definitely go back to him for future needs!!
I first met Dr. Jacobson in 2016 during a breast reduction consultation appointment at Mayo Clinic. I was impressed with his kind, caring approach; he listened to my concerns and thoroughly answered all my questions. I had the surgery and have been very pleased with the results, my breasts look extremely natural. My shoulder/neck pain is gone, I can purchase appropriately-sized clothing and styles I might have avoided in the past, and for the first time in my adult life I wear bathing suits that actually fit. My only regret is not having this surgery earlier in my life. In 2019 I scheduled a consultation appointment with Dr. Jacobson to talk about a possible neck and/or face lift. My overall health is very good but I wondered if at age 65 perhaps I had waited too long. Dr. Jacobson listened then made his recommendations (my age was not an issue) and answered all my questions. But my primary concern was: Would the surgical results leave me with a pulled, unnatural look? I didn’t like the wrinkles, drooping skin, and overall aging I saw in the mirror but the idea of someone performing surgery on my face left me with very mixed feelings. I thought about this for a full year before finally deciding to have surgery – a face and neck lift. I am now ten weeks post-surgery and thrilled with the outcome. Dr. Jacobson did an excellent job. The results are totally natural and way beyond my expectations, but I also still look like “me” with absolutely no tightness or anything unusual about my appearance. Dr. Jacobson is an outstanding plastic surgeon and I believe the best person I could have chosen for my surgeries. His office staff is very efficient and caring, too. I would definitely return to Jacobson Plastic Surgery for any future surgeries and would highly recommend Dr. Jacobson to others who are considering plastic surgeries similar to mine.
The decision about what breast implant to use and its volume and projection is a combined one between the desires of the patient and matching expectations, predictability and safety of the outcome which is the responsibility of the surgeon. Open communication between both the patient and surgeon to identify the patient’s desires and the surgeons concerns if these desires are considered either unattainable or too risky. If an impasse is reached sometimes a second opinion can help clarify the factors that are leading to the disconnect.
A mommy makeover typically is describing operative correction of areas of a woman’s body that have been impacted by pregnancy. As you stated the abdomen and breasts can undergo irreversible changes following pregnancy. Excess skin in abdominal wall laxity i.e. practice diastases can repack be repaired in a tummy tuck. Adding liposuction to improve the muffin top area or thigh excess fat pockets can be done. This fat can be discarded or reprocessed and injected in other areas if so desired. With regards to the breast (at the same operation) breast implants for improvement in volume and shape or an additional skin tightening procedure called a mastopexy can improve the perkiness of a deflated breast. There are situations where implants alone can fix this problem.
Soreness and muscle cramps two weeks after breast augmentation with implants placed underneath the chest muscle is certainly within the normal expected postoperative recovery. There are none pharmacologic options which include warm shower careful use of a heating pad and relaxation techniques that can improve this. As time goes on the muscle spasms will be less frequent and occasionally come up as you introduce more activation of the pectoralis muscle. Narcotic pain medicine isn’t a good option for muscle spasms, occasionally a prescription muscle relaxer can help if the spasms are debilitating. Having a well developed pectoralis muscle can lead to a recovery that can go on just a bit longer than the average patient but in time your pectoralis muscle will accommodate to the stretch from the implant.
Breast fat transfer can be an outstanding option in improving the contours of your breasts but often you’re limited to what volume can be achieved either from a limited donor supply or limited area to put the available fat into for optimal graft take. One of the options to help improve confidence in your decision is looking at photos of fat transfer compared to breast implants. If you’re looking to significantly increase the size of your breasts and desire implant upper pole shape breast implants give a more predictable result. If your desire is improved contour and slightly increasing the volume of your breast breast fat transfer can be an outstanding option especially when combined with the liposuction that you’re planning on having anyway.
ReportThank you for your question and for providing your history with you photos. Final results are not expected within 3 months as there is still some swelling and settling to occur. It does not appear that you have symmastia, but an examination with a board certified plastic surgeon can assess your questions on positioning further. Discuss with your surgeon your concerns and any potential positioning bras recommended.
