I'm 16 hours post op and doing great. I gained a lot of weight with my 1st pregnancy 19 years ago and got pregnant again 5 months later. I absolutely hated my pooch. I am very active although had previously have gained and lost weight fluctuatating between 140-207 pounds for years. I finally got on Medifast 2 1/2 years ago and lost about 50 pounds (now 162) and have maintained this for 2 years. I got married to a wonderful man who has been very supportive in my decision to have a TT. I'm also an extreme snowmobiler and knew I needed at least 6 months recovery time. I had my first consultation April 18 and they could get me in May 8th. I don't think I would have wanted to wait any longer as the nerves would have continued to get worse! Thank God I'm very close to Jesus, and believe in the power of prayer. That has made a world of difference!

Had a pretty easy time last night but did notice I had to get up and pee about every 2 hours even though I was drinking that much. Thank God for my husband- he had to sit me up and move my legs over the side of the bed so I could get to my walker, then I would back up to the toilet and he would hold me and gently place me down on the seat. Drains are doing good, but as everyone said "annoying" and I can't wear any underwear, just my big pj pants. Compression stockings are also on 24/7 until I am walking good. Worst part of the day was our 4 hour drive home. Roads were rough and I felt every stinkin bump. Slept in a bed last night and probably will keep doing that with a bunch of pillows propped everywhere.

Exactly one week and I'm doing great. Finally weaned myself off pain pills by day 5 except for taking one dose at bedtime to try and get comfortable. The main reason I believe I'm doing so great is I had purchased a Bonito compression garment #4006 prior to surgery. I wanted to be put in it after surgery but the doctors office refused and placed me in the traditional binder. Horrible thing! By the 3rd morning I begged my hubby to help me take off the binder and put the Bonito on. Seriously the second I was in it I was in heaven! My drain tubes have a perfect spot to come out off and it is just wonderful. I've had minimal swelling and it helped me feel more comfortable. Go get you one. You won't regret it, I promise. Sizing was a bit tricky as I was in between a L and XL.... I chose to go with the larger size because I knew I would have bandaging and swelling and it fits perfectly. On day four I had my belly button stiches and lipo back stiches come off. I've washed my hair with help in the kitchen sink twice. Still not allowed to shower but sponge bathes. I'm eating pretty clean ( had some pizza one night and some dark chocolate) other than that clean eating.

I'm 12 days post op and doing fantastic! I was scared of the recovery after reading some of the reviews on here as well, BUT don't believe all of it. Honestly I haven't had a hard time at all. I stayed up on my pain meds until day 4 but honestly probably could have come off them sooner. I'm only taking 1 pill at night before bed and not even tylonel or Advil during the day. If you have a good surgeon, you will be amazed at how fast you feel better. Order you a Bonito compression garment, totally saved my bacon! I ordered the size that fit me pre surgery. The #4006 allows for the drain tubes to come out the pelvic area ( if that is where your surgeon puts them) and I have been healing so nice and smoothly. I am wearing jeans today. Still have 1 drain left but I'm able to wear one of my "bigger" jeans. I love my new shape! It's amazing how much better I love myself with the pooch gone. A million times worth it. Btw the drain removal was a piece of cake, could not even feel it. Good luck!

I'm doing amazing! I've mowed my yard on a riding lawn mower, ridden our 4wheeler, saddled my horses ( but did not ride them yet) last drain tube got taken out at 19 days thank the good Lord. I'm showering with out any problems, haven't taken any type of pain killer or Advil for a week except when my period started for cramps. My husband and I went to the movies a few days ago and I was able to sit there for 2 hours just fine. I've lost 7 pounds since weigh in the day of surgery (I'm on Medifast) and I'm loving my new body.

I've been wearing jeans since day 17, same ones I had post op but there is now a ton of room in the waist area. None of my belts fit! I need a smaller one. Rode my horse for about an hour on day 27..... was harder on me than I thought, I had some fluid wave show up a day after riding so I know I'm not quite ready for that yet. I've been very active and moving everyday. My husband and I have been having sex for a week but I got ambitious and got on top this morning and oh my God! I didn't realize how much we use our AB muscles! I got a little too much into it and had some type of muscle spasms right after the big O. Hurt pretty bad. Sitting here now with a hot pad on my ABs lol. Be careful girls with that. But all in all I'm doing amazing. We have been putting up new fence in our pasture and I've been helping as much as I can. Oh! We went country dancing the same day I rode my horse so I'm not sure if it was the horse or dancing that was hard on me.
