I have a wonderful tendency to grow lipomas. This is my second time and I can’t say enough great things!! Dr. Brown is very thorough, informative and extremely patient. As usual he has done a wonderful job. My whole family has seen him for different procedures over the years. I would highly recommend him!
Jenny de Ruiter (Cuoso) has been giving me PIL treatments for years. Her professional, caring, knowledgable manner have always made the experience very pleasant. I have my 3 treatments every autumn, after my tan is faded. The clinic offers a special in September for a package of 3 at 10 per cent off to me each fall, and I always take advantage of this. I have wonderful results. My 52 year old face is always clear of age spots, and I look younger than I did at 45. (there's nothing as revealing as photographs to accentuate age spots/ pigmentation!) At that time, I was absolutely covered in them, and they added years to my appearance and were very dark unsightly. I could even begin to cover them with makeup. Another benefit is that my complexion is visibly clearer and brighter , I think my fine lines are reduced and I alway receive positive comments on how young I look. Jenny has also done hair removal, spider vein removal and injected restalyn for me. She recently used a new product to reshape my lips and I am thrilled, as I was losing volume and getting hollows around my mouth. They DO NOT look like duck lips, but very natural! She is a perfectionist and always listens very carefully to my concerns and directions. She always delivers wonderful results. And she is a lovely person.
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Brown and his staff. Last year, I got liposuction on my abdomen. Dr. Brown was sincere, knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I was and still am very pleased with the surgery. I experienced little discomfort and a fast recovery with no really bad side effects. I'm really proud of my new body contour! This procedure was one of the best thing I've ever done for myself. It would be my pleasure to recommend Dr. Brown and his staff to anyone. Updated on 12 Nov 2013: After I had my baby girl, I was very unhappy with the way my body looked. Honestly, I felt so bad about myself, I'm sure like all the other women who have had children. To improve my appearance and boost my self-esteem, I eventually decided to get liposuction. I chose Dr. Brown after speaking with a close friend, actually his former patient, and hearing how amazing her experience was. He really answered all my questions and explained the surgery in a very simple and understanding way. My liposuction surgery with Dr. Brown truly exceeded my expectations! I went in with my mom and she waited at the centre while I had my surgery. She said that the staff treated her nicely while she waited, which is a big thing coming from my mom! It took about an hour for the surgery, and I had very little pain after surgery, though I felt pretty woozy when I woke up. I did vomit once, but they kept me well hydrated and didn't treat me badly (even though I made a mess EVERYWHERE!). For the first two weeks, I had to be a little careful because I was quite tender and the swelling was a little concerning. But then it was like at the two week mark, everything just disappeared and I had no problem after that. Now, my abdomen looks normal and my clothes fit way better. Thanks to Dr. Brown, my attitude and appearance have completely changed as well. I'm really pleased with what I achieved and I would recommend Dr. Brown and his wonderful staff to anyone considering plastic surgery.
It's unfortunate that you've had this surgery but aren't comfortable with the way your breasts feel. I agree with the recommendation that you have been given. There is likely a very thin capsule at this time which does not need to be removed and over time, without the implant in place, should disappear. If the implants are in a submuscular position, the muscle will adopt a normal position after the implant is removed and I would not suggest repairing these fibres. Your existing breast shape will not change after the soft tissues recover from the stretch of the implant which could take a couple of months. I hope that information is of some reassurance. Best of luck.
As you probably know, what we describe as a tuberous breast usually has a tight breast mound with a high crease under the breast and a loose and usually large areola with the breast bulging through. There is a real spectrum of breast shape from wide and round to narrow and more conical. I agree that your breast shape is more tuberous. Just using an implant will address the width problem but may not address the areolar size and bulging. This could be tightened with a mastopexy just around the areola. Also I typically use some free fat grafting in the lower pole to smooth out the tight fold. If you are adamant about avoiding a periareolar scar, the augmentation could be done initially and if you are not satisfied with the result, the mastopexy could be done at a second stage. All the best with you procedure.
I agree that from the photos, it looks like you have left eyelid ptosis or droop causing an eye that is not as widely open and a high fold in the lid. This can be treated surgically by a couple of different methods with improvement but a perfectly symmetrical result is difficult. You should have an assessment by a surgeon that has some experience , either a plastic surgeon or oculoplastic surgeon. Best of luck.
If you mom has no symptoms related to her implants then I would not recommend any surgery. Having the implants left in place doesn't put her at risk. If she is bothered by pain or firmness and her general health is good enough to have an anesthetic with minimal risk, then I would recommend removal of the implants. I would suggest that she have an ultrasound or MRI to see if there is spread of any silicone beyond the implant capsule. If there is, it might make any surgery more difficult.
There are many reasons for an increase in discomfort or a change in size or shape in an augmented breast. Firstly, one has to determine if this is a breast related problem or an implant related problem. This may be obvious just with examination but will almost certainly need some imaging with ultrasound, mammogram or even MRI. Insuring that the breast is healthy is the most important step.Capsular contracture could be causing your problem. How quickly it progresses is unpredictable. Some patients have a mild degree of firmness that never gets worse and some progress rapidly to a firm, painful or at times, a distorted shaped breast.I would recommend that you contact your original surgeon if possible and schedule an assessment.
