Dr. Schantz is the only surgeon who will ever perform plastics on me ever. I had a tummy tuck in 2019 which still looks perfect. I just had a breast implant switch out and essentially a reconstruction of right breast from bottoming out from another surgeon’s mistakes. I am currently on day two post op and very happy with my results so far. I got mentor high profile 480cc with galloped internal bra on right breast due to muscle damage from previous surgeon. Dr schantz has the BEST bedside manner and is a magician in the OR! Updated on 8 Apr 2025: Everything still going smoothly! No pain, and results are looking great so far. Mentor round smooth high profile 480cc for the win. I went from a 400cc saline to the 480 silicone. Very happy with the size that we went with
Dr. schantz has gone above and beyond for me! He cared about my mental health along the journey while also making my body dreams come true! He was always patient with me and my worries and what ifs lol! He is not only a fantastic surgeon but also a great person.
Today I paid for my deposit, I'm scheduled for my surgery December 8, 2023. Super excited and nervous. This is how I currently look. I'm 5"3 and my weight is 146. But I'm hoping to get down to 140 before my surgery. I can't wait to see my results. Updated on 3 Mar 2023: Yesterday I finally made my tummy tuck deposit to schedule my surgery. It went great and of course I love the doctor I picked, I have went to him before for my boob job. He's definitely amazing. I'm super nervous but also very excited and can't wait to see my end result.
I had a TT with Dr Schantz and my experience thus far has been amazing, he and his staff has went above and beyond to answer all my questions and made me feel like I mattered. His bedside manner was outstanding! If your looking to have any cosmetic procedures I highly recommend Waldman, Schantz and Turner, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I had my consultation with Dr. Schantz 7/23. He was very easy to talk to and answered any questions I had. I will be scheduling my surgery soon. I will be having a TT, Breast Lift with silicone, lipo of back and hips 360. Updated on 2 Aug 2019: My Stats: 45 yr old mother of two daughters. 144 lbs 5'1". My pre-op appointment is on September 9th and my surgery date is September 30th. Nervous and excited at the same time! Anyone have any tips as far as what kind of diet I should follow to prepare my body for surgery? High protein?? Updated on 20 Sep 2019: So I have had a little setback with my upcoming surgery. I was scheduled for TT, Breast Lift with Augmentation and Lipo of Flanks on Sept. 30th. I was diagnosed with pneumonia in my right lung on Sept. 11th. I called Dr. Schantz's office and informed them of the situation. Dr. Schantz and the anesthesiologist agreed that it was just too risky to proceed with the surgery and it has been postponed till Oct. 29th. I have to say that I am very thankful to have the surgery postponed because I am not feeling my best. This just proves to me that I have selected the right plastic surgeon for the job. I have waited for years for this, another 5 weeks isn't going to matter. My health is #1 priority! Updated on 28 Oct 2019: I am beyond excited and somewhat nervous to finally get my mommy makeover. I have to be at the surgery center at 10:30 am and the surgery will take about 6 hours. I will post an update soon with some before and post-op photos. Updated on 3 Nov 2019: A few before and after. I would highly recommend Dr. Schantz to anyone wanting work done. He is absolutely amazing!!! More pics to come as healing continues. Updated on 4 Nov 2019: A few before and after. Updated on 7 Nov 2019: My back pain from being bent over and having lipo is finally getting better. I actually slept in my bed last night, which felt amazing. I have posted some pictures of the bruising. I have a pretty good size dog year on my left side and I was just wondering if anyone else out there had one and how much it changes over time. Updated on 1 Dec 2019: Doing well. I have found that the liposuction of hips and flanks was the most painful part of the whole surgery. I am still numb in my back and it may take till April for the feeling to return. My dog ear on my left side is slowly healing and looking better. It seems like it is taking forever for these implants to drop. I feel like I still have Frankenboobs..lol

I had a BA at the age of 17 (saline-375cc). I enjoyed having larger breasts for many years, but as an adult my priorities were different and I no longer wanted implants. I was actually freaked out knowing I had something foreign in my body. Although I never really had any issues, I made the decision I wanted to explant. Once I make a decision to do something, I don’t waste any time! I had a few consultations in April/May and had the procedure 5/20/19. I chose Dr. Schantz and he was amazing...I knew right away that I had found the right surgeon for me. He was very experienced, friendly, informative and gave me his very honest/candid opinion. We discussed every option, including the removal of the capsule (pros/cons). Ultimately, I decided that I would leave the capsule in since I wasn’t experiencing any pain and little/no signs of capsular contraction. Additionally, I made the decision to have the procedure under local. I won’t lie, I was extremely nervous...but have no regrets! I arrived at 8am, changed my clothes, took a Valium to calm my nerves, met with the doctor and headed to the surgery room. Once in the room, I received the numbing shots (very much like shots given at the dentist) in each breast. I can’t speak on how uncomfortable this part was/is because I was already numb from the original BA surgery 19 years ago. Once the injections were completed, the nurses prepped me for surgery. This entire process lasted about 1hr. Once I was prepped, Dr. Schantz did a “pinch” test to see if I could feel the sharp tools. Once that was completed, the actual removal started. He walked me through every part of the procedure (my sight was obstructed by a sheet-thank goodness). He did warn me that once he got close to the capsule it would feel a little uncomfortable. He was right, but nothing I couldn’t handle. The weirdest part of all was him removing the actual implant. You could feel it moving around and actually hear the sounds of the liquid swishing around inside the implant-super strange sound/feeling! Then it was out, nineteen years of having boobs-gone! Such a refreshing feeling! The next part was boring, but welcomed after all the excitement. He closed up the incision that was made in the capsule, then placed dissolvable stitches to my incision sight. One side down, one to go! The other side seemed to go quicker, but much of the same interaction. I was a pro at this point, I knew exactly what to expect! Ha! Then it was over as quickly as it started. The nice thing about doing the procedure under local was that I walked right into the next room, got dressed and left! I was walking out at 10:15am. The entire process was completed in 2 hours and 15 minutes. I felt a little shaky, but I felt great!! I was able to do normal things, but had a hard time lifting or pulling heavy things on day one. I also had a difficult time getting comfortable to sleep. I ended up using a pain pill to help me sleep that night. So glad I did, I slept great! I was allowed to shower the next day. I was really excited about showering, but I ended up getting a little nauseous and couldn’t get out fast enough! Overall-day two was pretty uneventful. Day three (today) has been amazing! I almost feel like my old self again. I’m moving like normal and the shower was uneventful. My breasts look amazing to only be 3 days out of surgery and after 19 years of implants. I am very pleased with my surgeon, with my results and my decision to get them out! I couldn’t be happier. If you are considering it, do it, you will be glad you did! I will be available to answer any questions you may have, this site was such a blessing for me.
Steve is the consummate professional. I have had several procedures in this office and have always been VERY pleased with the results. Steve did a tummy tuck and lipo and I have been SO happy! The office staff are VERY professional! Having been in healthcare myself for sixteen years I wouldn't look anywhere else. Steve is a compassionate caregiver, responsive, he has a good eye for the outcome and his results are very natural feeling. 5 Stars all around!!
I always felt that I was bottom heavy, more mass in my hips and thighs compared to my chest. I wanted to even that out especially when I started lifting and building muscle. I felt that BA surgery would be worth the cost and time for recovery, and it absolutely was! I was down for about a week (horrible depression as well) but after that the pain subsided and I’m almost back to normal 3 weeks later. So far, most of the swelling and bruising and gone away but the implants are still sitting very high on my chest. My surgeon said that my case was a little extreme for such a large implant under very tight (tightest he’s ever seen) pectoral muscles on a fairly small frame. While I am happy with my surgery I am hoping that they drop significantly over the next few months, I look pretty ridiculous.
To sum up my experience with Dr. Schantz I would have to describe it as perfect. He took my floppy stomach and made me look nearly perfect again !! He gave me a new life and for that I am forever thankful. Updated on 16 Feb 2019: Recovery going well. Still swelled and puffy but here is an updated picture. So pleased. Wearing my abdominal binder, keeping incision clean, got my drainage tube taken out 7 days post op, and trying to alternate periods of resting and activity. Every day gets a little easier. Minimal bruising present from the lipo of back and flanks.
We recommend our post laser patients to use Elta MD-UV Facial SPF 30+. It is a light moisturizing cream that provides moisture and UVA/UVB protection. It is for all skin types, especially moderate to dry.
Lipo swelling can take 4-6 months before you see the final results. It is very normal to still need the support of the compression garment. More patients will wean themselves from the garment after 6 weeks. I suggest to begin sleeping with the garment.
We perform most of our liposuction cases in our accredited surgical suite under IV sedation. Surgeons may suggest general anesthesia with hospitalization. Heart conditions would require medical clearance from a cardiologist. Evaltuation by the surgeon is necessary to determine if you are a candidate for lipo.
Patients may shower 24 hours post operatively with care. Sutures are removed at your one week follow up visit, typically 7 days but no earlier.
